Noah videotapes folks for Nick's surprise birthday party, Dru and Carmen are caught on tape fighting, Devon discusses his life now as a deaf person.
Noah is videotaping Phyllis for his birthday surprise! Victoria comes in and is happy to hear about the surprise! Noah asks to interview Victoria, but she has to take care of a few things beforehand. Noah videos Phyllis' tummy!
Victoria is in Nick's office taking care of business when he invites her to the surprise engagement party. She's surprised, remembering that Phyllis is having the party for Nick on the same date! Before she regains her composure her brother leaves and Carmen comes in, to talk about the problem with the date for a rollout of Beauty of Nature winter launch.
Victor meets with Jack in his office to discuss some statistics for their business. Jack has a proposal for Victor for the business that Victor plans to review. (The Savannah campaign.)
At their home, Dru, Devon and Neil learn sign language. Devon is doing well, but all of their hands hurt from so much signing. They stop for lunch. Devon makes jokes that he hopes they don't learn a sign for "Clean your room"!
Dru is unhappy to get a call from Vikki to come into work today. She doesn't want to leave Devon, but is told that it's not a request - it's a command! Dru apologizes to Devon
Later, at Phyllis' office, Victoria tapes Phyllis and Noah as they wish Nicholas a wonderful birthday! Just then, Nick's voice is heard! They stop taping, Victoria leaves and they try to act nonchalant! Phyllis ushers Noah out with the present and video recorder, while she tells Nick she has to talk to him about work.
Noah goes to his grandpa's office to video tape Victor and Zapato. Jack walks in and Noah video tapes Jack, wishing him a happy birthday too! Jack tells Noah that Nick was a terrific kid growing up. He shares a memorable camp-out with Nick. Jack goes on to tell Noah he has a great grandfather in Victor.
Gloria talks to Phyllis about her new ideas. Phyllis enjoys her demonstration and likes the bracelet that the perfumes come in. Jack interrupts them and listens to Gloria's pitch. He has already heard it and tells the ladies it's worth looking at. He asks to talk about it in depth, much to Gloria's surprise.
At home, Devon and Neil discuss picking up girls as a deaf guy. Neil tells his son that plenty of women will be attracted to him; he just needs to be confident as he has a lot to offer.
At the office, Victoria and Dru meet. Dru will have to go out of town for interviews for the new holiday campaign, and is not too happy about this sudden turn of events. She has to leave right away and will be away two days tops. Carmen gets the brunt of Dru's anger, but there is nothing she can do to change their minds. Victoria and Carmen tell Dru she must go.
Noah is in Carmen's office, videotaping Carmen's birthday message. Phyllis comes in to invite her to the party for Nick and she accepts. Nick walks by so she runs off to show him Gloria's bracelet. Nick is surprised that Jack thinks it has merit.

Noah and Vikki go into Nick's office and Vikki rummages through Nick's drawers, joking he has nothing fun in them. She takes a beef jerky while Noah video tapes her. She shares a story about how Nicholas came to her rescue at school when she was young. She was happy that he did that for her. Nick walks in and Phyllis comes in after him. The two of them usher Nick out right away, before he gets a chance to see Noah!
Phyllis is surprised to hear Gloria tell her that Jack likes Gloria's idea. Later, Phyllis discusses it with Jack, but he covers, telling her his future is with NVP!
Devon and Neil try to have a conversation in sign only. Neil asks to play some hoops with Devon but he has homework. He's frustrated that he doesn't know all the words. He's adamant that he is going to learn sign as soon as possible. Neil gets called away and Devon asks for alone time.
Carmen and Dru talk about work in the elevator with a third party. They decide to communicate through phone, fax, and email but not close proximity. Carmen is uncomfortable.
In Victor's office, Victoria shares the news about both surprise parties! Victor thinks they should go to both parties!
In the coffee break room, Gloria talks on camera, telling Noah that Noah is lucky to have Nick and Victor as a dad and Grandpa. She gives him birthday wishes and they're interrupted by Nick, so Noah hides the camera and is sent by Nick to make some photocopies! Later, Gloria turns up in his office and the two discuss how Jack threw her out of the mansion. Victor is very interested in this.
Nick enters Victoria's office and she tells him that he can't marry Phyllis until 6 months after the divorce goes through. He's not happy to learn this!
Phyllis and Noah discuss how many people (including Zapato) were on the camera he left the camera in the coffee break room by accident.
In the coffee break room, Dru meets with Carmen to talk business. She doesn't want to talk but they discuss her leaving for New York. Carmen apologizes about Devon, but she tells them they have a crisis and the interview in NY is crucial. Dru wants to stay home but Carmen tells her there is nothing they can do about it. She tells her to take it up with Victoria and Dru stops Carmen from leaving. They argue and Dru grabs her, and roughs her up, telling her that she's not going anywhere. The camera is on, recording everything!!
Devon takes a call from Neil's contractor, who tells him he's late. Devon tries to use the TTY, but the contractor only hears beeps and hangs up, so the contractor calls Neil, who explains how the TTY works. Neil calls Devon via the TTY, but Devon doesn't want to answer the phone as he's frustrated from the last call.
Victor thinks back to Jack's request for a loan and how he has been acting lately. He takes the monkey into his hands (that Jack gave him recently) and is in thought. He asks Jack to come into his office and they discuss how Jack spent all of the loan money so he can't cut him the deal on Savannah, until he sees how he has spent the money.
Nick ends up in Phyllis' office to tell her the bad news. They can't marry for 6 months after the divorce goes through. Their baby will already be born by then. They can go before a judge to plead their case.
Devon tries to listen to the music, turning it up extremely loud, but can't hear it. Dru comes in feeling bad for him.
Carmen calls the police, telling them Dru violated the agreement. No witnesses' means there isn't anything they can do. (The camera is still recording but she doesn't know.)
