    True words Bermuda Baby.

There are Sports Networks - What is the purpose of the Sports Networks if they have to butt in on our channels?

Bermuda Baby - You go girl!!!

Everything you said is so true, but this crap has been going on for a long time and I bet things won't change that easily. Sports should be on sports channels unless it's televised in the evening which would tick off the other viewers.

Please get a grip soap fans, life will go on weather our favorite shows come on or not. The soaps are on all the free channels not cable channels. The networks have to appease everyone to keep the numbers up. You all need to give those kids a lot of credit for what they are doing right now trying to get to the Final 16. This are kids that made it to college carry the grades it takes to stay in sports, and above all do not get paid to do something they love. Take a moment watch the kids in action and rethink that the networks were put on your tv to satisfy the 1 or more hours a day that you watch soaps but to offer audience a variety of shows for nothing. I image all the characters will be on there tomorrow doing the same thing they left you off at on Wednesday.

Bermuda Baby - I believe that everthing you said is true.

In defense of my industry, do you know how much advertisers pay to have a :30 seond spot aired during one of these horrible games? (And of all the sports I hate basketball the most.) The Super Bowl alone, on the national lever, paid hundreds of thousands of dollars and some paid a million or more. The networks love that. It lines their pocket and the owners like the profit even more.

That being said, take those spots games and shove them. I want my soaps.

Give me a break! They do not get paid???? What about that full scholarship a good student athlete gets??? A regular student could not afford to go to the big schools that the student athletes are getting a free ride from.

Okay.. so who is home waiting to watch college BB right now!? NOT ME!! I guess will suck it up and go do something I have been avoiding like cleaning out my closet.

i guess i'll just go wash my dishes since i can't watch young and the restless. this is the only soap that i watch. everyday i read the recap and now there isn't even a recap to read. this day is sad. oh, i also think basketball stinks. seriously, airing it in the daytime is stupid. teenagers are in school and people are at work. who's watching it?

(sigh) I don't like it but I guess the network has to pay the bills too! Let's face it.... The fella's wanna watch this stuff as much as we enjoy our soaps. We can believe that this will give writers some more time to clean up the mess left by the former unmentionable Head Writer...Oh, what the hell... LML... May she never return!

    Bermuda Baby:

    Waz up girl?

Truer words were never spoken *your previous comment.

Although I am a Hoosier (A hoosier is someone born or resides in Indiana) and born with a natural love for Basketball in my blood, I LOVE Young and Restless more.

And although my working schedule rarely allows me the opportunity to catch Y and R "live", I look forward to coming home and either watching the DVR version, Soapnet version at 7 PM or I can catch it on the computer.

But what are we to do today to get our "fix". There is no DVR version, there is no computer show and I don't know what Soapnet is planning to do for the next few days in those timeslots with no show to fill it!

It always seems that sports ALWAYS take precident and
pre-empt the CBS network and always at Y and R time for whatever reason.

I believe that is why God created ESPN!

So what is there for us to use the next 4 days to chat about????? We could do like we did last time this happened and discuss favorite past storylines for those who have not watched Y and R forever like us old-timers to give the newbies an insightful perspective on things. What do ya say?

OK I gotta run for a run up to the northern part of the state but I will be home later tonight if you want to get on line.

    Hey Bermuda:

Remember I told you the other day that when Ashley (my 22 year old) was a pre-schooler she had a crush on Michael Damiean (Danny Romalotti) when he was on Y and R? Back then I was a stay at home mommy and I got the luxery of being able to see it every day. He came here once for an appearance at the mall and I took Ashley to see him and she was so excited. Actually after all these years he still looks pretty much the same.

He even had this song that was out on the radio ("Rock On") that he had performed on the show. That was back when Lauren and Tracy (Abbott) were fighting over him (back in the big hair days). I can't forget the time that Lauren (back when she used to be a B***h) was making comments about Tracy being fat and Tracy dumped an ice cream sundae on Lauren's head. I think you can still pull that scene up on You-Tube. Go watch it if you get the chance. It's hilarious.

I am wondering if bringing Danny back will be a long term thing or if it is just for a short stint? I hope he sticks around because it could bring up some interesting storylines.
