As Jack and Gloria butt heads over the Abbott Mansion, an eye witness comes forward that provides Victor Newman with an alibi for the night of Ji Min's death!

Lily is in the kitchen wrestling with her morning toast when Karen ventures in. Lily asks what she's doing there so early, then realizes that Karen spent the night. Neil comes out and rushes off to work. Karen asks Lily why she didn't say good bye to her father. Lily confides they're having problems. Karen apologizes that they didn't let her know about the overnight. Lily says it doesn't bother her. Karen congratulates Lily on being a finalist in the Jabot contest, and assures her that she's not trying to replace her mother. Lily says she knows that. Later, Lily relives her recent arguments with Neil in her mind. Karen comes out of the other room and offers for Lily to join her at the spa, but Lily declines. Once Karen leaves, Lily calls Cane and invites him over. When Cane arrives, Lily tells him her father is a hypocrite - telling her to move slowly while he's going so fast with Karen. They begin to kiss when Karen knocks and comes in to get her forgotten notepad. They are all startled! Cane laughs that every time he kisses Lily someone comes in. He excuses himself, and Karen assures her that she won't say anything to Neil.

The District Attorney meets with Heather at the Club and explains that they need to put Victor Newman behind bars. Across the room, Maggie and Paul note their presence, with Paul saying that he's heard the D.A. is a hard guy to work for. Maggie reminds him he's her boss too. Talk turns to Heather and Maggie confides in Paul that his daughter has been suffering from nightmares. Paul muses that he should probably not push her right now - it might make things worse for her. After Heather gets up from her meeting, she joins Paul and Maggie for breakfast. They discuss the Newman case, and Heather explains it has to be bomb-proof. Paul makes the mistake of suggesting that she tell the D.A. to prosecute the case himself due to her emotional issues. Heather retorts that he doesn't know her well enough to judge her capabilities! Paul apologizes and explains that he just hates seeing her under so much pressure. After she leaves the table her phone rings. It's a young man claiming to have information about the Newman case! She agrees to meet him.

Jack enters the Club and runs into Gloria, who informs him that she is now living there - and has married Jeffrey Bardwell. Jack quips that he'll send him a condolence card. They agree that they're looking forward to settling John's estate and being rid of one another. Glo tells him that she is happy he has decided to recognize John's wishes. He warns there's not much cash as a lot of the estate is tied up in stocks and real estate. Gloria notes that that means the Abbott Mansion. She offers to buy Jack's interest in the house. He tells her she'll live there again over his dead body!

Michael is in Victor's office and presses Newman to understand that they have no proof to back up his innocence - the evidence all points directly to him. Victor is appalled with Michael, reminding him that he's being paid to get him out of this. "What the hell is wrong with you?" Victor demands he stop the rhetoric and come up with a concrete plan. Michael suggests they deal by trying to make a self-defense plea. Victor is outraged - he's an innocent man for God's sake! Michael stresses that he isn't understanding what position he's in. Victor accuses him of being uncommitted to the case - and fires him! Michael turns and leaves. Later, when he arrives home and fills Lauren in - she expresses surprise that he suggested Victor strike a plea deal. Michael blames Gloria's drama for taking his focus away from Victor's case. Lauren tells him that she believes he's having trouble with the case because he doesn't want to face the truth - Victor really is guilty! Lauren claims that she has seen Victor in action - he's capable of anything. Michael tells her he was fearing a jury of people like her that would convict him because he's perceived of being ruthless, that's why he wanted to plead self-defense. Lauren muses, "He might really go to jail!"

Gloria meets Kevin at Crimson Lights. They discuss Jeffrey's mysterious phone calls, which she claims are always business related, and talk turns to their plot against him. Kevin says he's come up with a plan - thanks to Alfred Hitchcock! Kevin alludes to tea laced with poison. They talk about the Abbott Mansion and Kevin warns her Jack will never let her live in that house again. But the idea grows on him as he tells his mother that old house is the perfect place for a murder plot! Later, Lily comes in and Kevin tells her he is researching Hitchcock plots. On the other side of the room, Heather is meeting with the young man who called her. He tells her he is a valet at Amelio's Restaurant and he saw Victor Newman get dropped off at eight o'clock that night - the same time he always comes there. Heather sighs as the guy leaves. At the counter, Heather tells a nosy Kevin that the man was just a crank. Lauren and Michael come in as Heather leaves. The young man that Heather met with comes back in and asks if anyone has jumper cables. Kevin, gesturing toward the guy, informs them that Heather just finished 'huddling' with him, and claimed he was a lead that didn't pan out. Michael jumps up. "Hey buddy! I have jumper cables!" Across the room, Cane and Lily canoodle in the corner as Lily informs him that Karen is on her side - she's not going to tell Neil about finding them together earlier!

Jack sits at the Club bar when Nick ventures in. They discuss Sharon, and Nick tells Jack he's glad their trip was good and warns him not to screw it up this time! They compare notes and discover that both Phyllis and Sharon are still out of town working, so they decide to get together with the kids for some family bonding! Later, Gloria makes her way back into the Club and heads upstairs. Suddenly she stops as she spots Bardwell at the bar. She calls him out for ditching his new bride right after the wedding. Jeffrey laughs and asks if she's jealous. She tells her it just puts her in a terrible position. He says the only thing she needs to worry about is double-crossing him!... Back at Crimson Lights, Kevin and Lauren are pouring over Jeffrey's phone records - there are over forty calls to the same number. At that moment Michael comes back in with the young man and thanks Kevin for being so nosy - this guy may have saved Victor! As Michael dashes off, Kevin and Lauren speculate as to whether Jeffrey might have another wife!

Neil comes into Victor's office and is apprised of Michael's firing. Neil continues to be astounded by Victor's actions, but Victor doesn't want to hear his opinion. He orders Neil to find him another lawyer. When Neil tells him that whether he wants to hear it or not - he hasn't done the right thing, Victor asks him to stop second-guessing him and get him a dream team of lawyers. Neil agrees and informs Victor on his way out that the judge will rule in the lawsuit tomorrow. Later, as Neil is lining up a hot shot lawyer when Michael blows in. Victor tells Neil to hold on when Michael says he has an eye witness that puts him at Amelio's Restaurant at the same time Heather's witness puts him in the locker room stuffing his bag with bloody towels! A cocky Michael suggests Victor may want to reconsider that firing thing.
