Introducing...Marina! Friday, November 30 2007

Amber continues her plan to enter, and win, the Jabot contest. Jack gives Ben the go ahead to release the tape to the D.A. The Newmans deal with bad news about Victoria and the baby.

Ben and Jack are working in the Abbott living room when Sharon comes in looking for Noah's backpack. She asks them to tell her they're not thinking of using that audio tape. Ben says it proves that Victor went to Ji Min. Sharon reminds Jack that he promised - not with what the Newmans are going through right now. Ben tells them ignoring this would be political suicide!

At the hospital, Nikki asks Victor to page Dr. Webb again. The group gathers around and Brad wants to know if they can visit the baby yet. Daniel comes in with coffee and also asks about the baby. Phyllis tells him they haven't heard yet. Dr. Webb appears and tells them Victoria's blood pressure needs to come down still, and the baby is very weak at 23 weeks gestational age. When Nikki asks if the baby will be impaired, the doctor explains that approximately 50% of baby's born at this age will experience moderate to severe disabilities. The group is quiet.

Cane is in his office getting his schedule for the day in order. He thinks back in his mind to a meeting with Lily where they hugged and she kissed his cheek as they said good-bye. Meanwhile, at the Club, Colleen is working and Lily is with her. Colleen is leaving a message on Brad's voicemail, and winds up explaining to Lily what happened the day before with Victoria. Colleen asks Lily if she is entering the Jabot contest. Lily says she is going to enter the contest but feels stupid about it! Colleen reminds her she has her mother's genes - she'll do just great!

Amber in a short red wig and big dark glasses approaches Kevin in Crimson Lights and tells him her name is Marina Dryden and she represents a consortium that is interested in his coffee house. He begins asking why they are interested in his place, and 'Marina' tells him it's because the owner is…gullible as hell! She pulls off the glasses and an amused Kevin realizes it's Amber. She informs him she intends to enter, and win, the Jabot Fresh Face contest! Kevin tells Amber she's wasting her time - families aren't allowed to enter. Amber replies, "Marina's not an ex-wife!" Kevin says the disguise won't fool anybody for long. Amber asks him to call Cane - she wants to put the Marina look to a real test!

Sharon and Jack listen to the tape of Victor offering Ji Min money. Ben says he won't sit back and watch Jack lose his senate seat when he has the evidence to defend himself. Jack tells Sharon he needs to do this. Daniel comes to the door with files for Jack and updates everyone on Victoria's situation. He also tells Jack his mother is worrying about coming over there. Jack tells him to urge her to stay at the hospital - she can do more good there. Sharon says she's going over to the hospital and leaves.

In the waiting area, an agitated J.T. tells Paul he just wants to be with Victoria - he wants to tell her about the baby. He confides that if anything happens to her, he'll never forgive Nikki and Brad for holding up the c-section! Meanwhile, Nikki asks Nick if he thinks she did the right thing, fighting for the baby. He replies that she followed her conscience - you did what you thought she would want. Phyllis tries to reassure her by telling her that when she was in labor she didn't care about herself - all she wanted was for Summer to be ok! Nikki breaks down in Nick's arms at the thought of the fragile baby that might die.

As they arrive at the Club where Cane is, Amber and Kevin make a bet as to whether she can pull off the disguise. If she wins - no rent for a month, if he wins - she has to clean the apartment for a month…. Amber approaches Cane and begins speaking to him in a low, sexy voice. He grins….

J.T. and Brad watch the baby in the nursery and speculate on the odds of him making it. Brad tells him there are a lot of people that love him and are pulling for him. Noah comes along and says he's never seen a baby that small! Meanwhile, Dr. Webb tells Victor and Nikki there are a few more options for treatment of Victoria now that the baby has been delivered. They go in to see her. They tell her they are both there with her, and tell her all about her son.

Jack, Ben and Daniel discuss the smear campaign against Jack. Daniel notes that they have no evidence, it's just innuendo. Daniel asks if they'd like some more support in Madison. Jack thanks him and agrees that he can come along. When Daniel leaves, Ben tries to persuade Jack to release the tape of Victor and Ji Min to the press. He urges him not to let Sharon's opinion ruin this for him. Jack agrees to have him release the tape! However, he doesn't want it leaked to the press - he wants Ben to give it to the D.A.!

Sharon arrives at the hospital and speaks to Victor. Nearby, Nikki comes out and tells Phyllis and Nick that she doesn’t know if Victoria could hear them - and the baby really needed one more week. Sharon meanwhile, tells Victor that no matte what happens between him and Jack they will always be friends. Victor says he doesn't have many these days, even in his own family. Sharon assures him that no one cares about their family as much as he does. Over the way, Nikki tells Nick and Phyllis that she honestly doesn’t know if Victoria will forgive her when, and if, she wakes up. Phyllis says that she "did what any mother would have done and Victoria will always be grateful for that!" Nikki says, "That's very nice. Thank you." Phyllis tells her she means it!

At Crimson Lights, Amber is trying to pass herself off as Marina as she sits with Cane. She tells him she writes articles in magazines. He seems bemused. Meanwhile, Lily arrives at the coffee house and approaches Kevin to ask when the contest will officially be on. He tells her he's just putting the finishing touches on the website - why is she going to enter?! She says she thinks she will. As she moves away, she bumps into 'Marina' who loses her phone on the ground. 'Marina' picks it up and asks Lily if it's her phone. Lily says it looks like Amber's! Marina gives it to Kevin. As she moves away, Cane says it isn't possible that Amber wouldn't have come back for her phone!

Nikki and Victor discuss things a little as Brad and Colleen come down the hall and talk about the chances for the baby. J.T., Nick and Sharon are all at the window looking at the baby. J.T. tells them they had a few ideas for names but never settled on one - they thought they had more time…Sharon and Nick talk with J.T. about how you will do anything for your children. He says he never understood that until now. Sharon shares with J.T. the story of Noah being a preemie and what they went through.

Amber laughs with Kevin as she says she pulled it off! She says she'll still pay him rent, if he figures out how to get her in the contest! He agrees and sits down to look at the website. Daniel comes into the office and says, "Amber - little late for Halloween isn't it" Kevin smirks. Daniel asks Kevin to borrow his suitcase to go to Madison. He asks Amber again what's with the disguise. She tells him she's going to enter a contest. Kevin says he found the part on the website that says family members can't enter. Daniel asks Kevin why he's going along with this bad idea of Amber's!

Cane and Lily sit at a table and discuss music, again he tells her she has such a beautiful smile. He asks her to smile just like that when she does her video for faces of Jabot.

Maggie and Paul are sitting and chatting at the coffee house when Ben comes flying in. Paul excuse himself. Maggie resists taking what Ben is offering, but he says, "take it - it's everything you need to investigate Victor Newman.

Dr. Webb let's J.T. go in to see Victoria and tells the others that Victoria has been given every test possible and her blood pressure isn't improving - Victor takes this to mean that she is still in danger. Dr. Webb concedes that she is. Nikki says she had hoped the c-section would relieve the stress on Victoria, but now she may never wake-up, ever. She cries. J.T. is in with Victoria talking about the baby, describing every little aspect of him. He tells her he's not big enough for him to hold him right now. He tells her that the baby needs her to wake up right now and be strong for him. He needs his mom. "Wake up and name your son!"

Sharon comes home and tells Jack that Victoria and the baby are both critical. He sighs and tells her she won't like this, but Ben has gone with the tape to the police. Not the press. Sharon says this is the last thing that family needs right now! Jack says it wasn't easy to do this - anything but. He asks her to understand that her husband is now a suspect in a murder investigation. And as much as he doesn't want to ignore Victoria and the baby, but he can't ignore this either! Jack sighs, "I hate you looking at me that way." Sharon tells him he knows what he can do about it. Jack tries to explain that he's been telling her for a long time now that Victor is involved in Ji Min's death. I can't imagine what they're going through right now, but my career may be over if I don't do something about this right now!

Ben gets Maggie to agree to take the tape. Paul comes back as Ben leaves. She tells him it was interesting, and asks if his Dad used to come home from work and telll his mom about work. He says she doesn't have to tell him anything. She says he already knows some of it, and confides that the DNA from Victor's dog was a closer match to the hair on Ji Min than that of Noah's dog. He asks what that has to do with what Ben gave her. She tells him that the tape is might be what she will need to convince a Judge to order a search warrant for Victor's home and office! Suddenly, the scene switches to Victor standing alone looking at Victoria's son through the nursery window…

At the hearing, Jill says she can't wait to get up and testify! With John's ghost looking on, Gloria adds, "John must be rolling in his grave!"

Daniel tells Jack, Sharon and Ben that he just saw Jill and Gloria cozying up to the chairmen, "they want to testify against you!"

Kevin tells Lauren that Jana wants to marry him. Lauren asks if she said 'yes'. Kevin replies, "She said 'no'."
