    Too Many Cooks In The Kitchen.

    Tuesday, May 07 2013
    Battle lines are drawn at Newman, Gus wants to go back, and Chelsea decides to be honest.

    Avery encounters Dylan in Crimson Lights. He apologizes for phoning and asks how things went for her. She says the ball's in Nick's court. Chelsea arrives and asks if she's interrupting. Awkwardness ensues as Avery congratulates her on the baby and leaves. Chelsea observes that Avery's not just his lawyer. Dylan admits he and Avery were involved. Chelsea says he should go back to her while he has the chance - she's giving him an out. Dylan says he's tried with Avery, but she wants Nick. Chelsea sighs and says she has to be honest about the baby. Dylan suggests she tell him tomorrow over dinner.

    At the tackhouse, Nick reads Avery's love letter and heads out the door.

    Billy wrestles with Delia at home as Victoria prepares for a meeting. She says JT texted to make sure it was okay for Reed to come and stay but still didn't explain why. They have a close moment and kiss. Later, a hyper Delia wears Billy out. He dozes off and dreams of having a house full of crying babies. He awakens and tells Delia why the word 'bet' isn't good, and suggests they play something other than cards.

    Victor and Adam discuss Victoria at work. Adam points out she's a Newman - that makes her inherently dangerous - he doesn't want to be blindsided. Victor tells Adam that he and Victoria are far more alike than either of them wants to admit. Adam thinks with three of them running things after the buyout there would be too many cooks in the kitchen. Victor chuckles. He'll make it work.

    At home, Leslie discusses Gus' alleged affair with Tyler, who thinks it's none of their business. Leslie wonders if he's worried there's something worse. Gus appears. He says they thought he killed their mother - what could be worse? Leslie's afraid to find out. Gus thinks the only way to move forward is to go back - to the night their mother died. Leslie thinks Gus looks ill - she gives him an aspirin. They talk about finally saying a proper goodbye to Belinda. Leslie asks about Rose again. Gus becomes agitated and keels over. He gasps that Rose was someone he cared about and Belinda knew Rose. He repeats, "Rose was... Rose was..." Tyler pleads, "Don't leave us, Dad." Amid the pain, Gus is pleased to hear 'Dad'. The paramedics arrive but can't save Gus.

    Nick joins Abby at On The Boulevard. Victoria joins them. They ask why she wanted to meet. Vikki says Victor wants to privatize the company and will ask them for the money from the lawsuit to finance it. She suggests they pool their money and take over Newman. Nick asks what if Victor stands by Adam - will she kick him out of the company too? Vikki says she only wants Adam out. Abby says Adam's doing a good job. Vikki says he's on good behavior for now, and chews about the lovefest between he and Victor right now. Nick advises her not to battle over Dad and says he's out. Vikki asks Abby if she's in. Abby gets a call from Victor who wants to meet.

    Nick finds Avery waiting at the tackhouse. She promises she's not stalking him. He says he read her letter. She starts rambling and then blurts that she needs to know what he thought of it - it's not everyday she writes a love letter to a boy! Nick says it was moving, but he still thinks she's trying to convince herself she's over Dylan. She tells him she didn't go to the cottage with Dylan. She asks him to dinner at her apartment. He says really enjoys things wrapped in bacon.

    Adam tells Victor, in his office, that Hope would be touched watching them work together. Victor says she was remarkable. Abby arrives. She mentions having breakfast with her siblings. Adam realizes Victoria sounded the battle horn. Victor asks Abby to confirm. She does. Abby informs them she won't be taking either side and wishes them luck. Victor looks out the window. "Betrayed by my own children." Victoria appears. She and Victor bicker over Adam and what he's capable of. Victor says he saved his life! Victoria says that was just instinct. She tells Victor she'll never trust Adam and won't give up trying to protect him. Adam warns Victor that Victoria wants a duel to the death and will force him to choose her or him.

    Vikki tells a man at On The Boulevard that the target is Adam Newman - she needs dirt related to business. She already has personal information on Adam and his ex that she's saving for a rainy day. She asks the man to find out what the bombshell was that Adam came to the reception to drop on Victor.

    Genoa City Spoilers for Tomorrow on The Young and the Restless:

    Phyllis overhears Kyle asking Jack if he's going to propose to her tonight.

    Leslie asks Neil, "Did you lose your parents?"

    At home, Lauren tells Carmine, "I want my life back." Paul appears and says, "Then you need to end this now."

    Welcome dslc and and all the new posters.

    Gus looks at his children and say they thought he killed their mother - what could be worse?

    ~~~Well if you say it like that LOL , I guess nothing could be worse.
    I can't believe how the sick has been treated, i.e., Katherine's brain surgery and Gus heart surgery. Those vicious family and friends aren't cutting anyone any slack.
    RE: Victoria acknowledges she already has personal information on Adam and his ex that she's saving for a rainy day.
    ~~~Uh Oh the pregnancy that MANY of YOU said she heard.
    Now I do like that angle. But I prefer you to go ahead and spill it. That would turn Spawn's attn in a new direction. He may even walk away from NE, Nahhh

    Didn't know if anyone else had heard this yet or not, but, I guess, over the weekend, someone started the rumor that Jeanne Cooper had already passed away. Ms. Cooper's son, Corbin Bernsen, says that this is NOT true. Following is a copy of Mr. Bernsen's latest Facebook post about this issue.

    I don't know about anyone else but, even if Jeanne Cooper does pull through this crisis - and she has certainly done that before - it will most likely be a long time before she would be able to return to work.

    I don't know about anyone else, but it seems to me that it would be really terrible if Jill Farren Phelps decided to recast the role of Katherine Chancellor with a 30-something Friend of Jill.

    AND - since Jeanne Cooper's real life situation seems to be mirroring Katherine Chancellor's story line on Y&R - I believe that it is really tacky of JFP to choose NOT to include Katherine's son - Tucker - in the group of family members who have gathered to assist Katherine at this time.

    My personal feeling is that IF Jeanne Cooper does NOT pull through this crisis, then I do NOT want to see any type of recast try to take over the role of Katherine Chancellor. In my opinion, it has to be Jeanne Cooper - or no one!

    I believe that, in the event that Jeanne Cooper does NOT pull through this crisis, then Young and Restless should lay Katherine Chancellor to rest with FULL honors. And by FULL honors - I mean that Katherine's ENTIRE family should gather for a memorial service! In my opinion, no matter how much Jill Farren Phelps despises Stephen Nichols, JFP should STILL have the good grace to invite Stephen Nichols to put in at least a FEW appearances while Katherine's family gathers for a memorial service! As well as all of the other members of Katherine Chancellor's family who have been hustled out of town over the years!

    In the meantime, I can't help but wonder if this medical crisis could be a part of the "Valley Fever" epidemic which is sweeping California. I guess that, in areas where there has been serious rainfall, followed by disastrous drought, there is a flu-like illness, called Valley Fever, which becomes a problem. I understand that, following a lot of rain, there is a fungus which forms in soil. Then, when a lot of rain is followed by a severe drought, the wind kicks up dust storms and the dust which is in the air carries the fungus which grew during the rainy season. Apparently, all of this affects the lungs - and it especially affects the lungs of young children and senior citizens and anyone else whose lungs have been compromised in any way. I have heard that there are at least two prisons in California which may need to be shut down because so many have become ill with Valley Fever. I seem to recall that, through the winter, there were reports that a great many members of the Y&R cast experienced serious bouts with flu.

    Considering that the entire U.S, has been dealing with serious drought for the past several years, it is probably surprising that there are not more cases of Valley Fever nationwide.

    At any rate, whatever may be the underlying cause of Jeanne Cooper's illness, my opinion is that it was extremely gross for a bunch of news types to begin passing around the story that Jeanne Cooper had already passed away!

    I do not blame Corbin Bernsen for being extremely annoyed by this sort of occurrence!

    Following is the copy of Corbin Bernsen's latest message on Facebook:

    "I had promised to stay silent for a bit but I feel it is necessary to make sure all know that a RUMOR of my mom's passing earlier today that had been spread by someone on Twitter is false! I want to confirm: This is NOT TRUE. I'm not going to elaborate on mom's status beyond this - she is still very much with us. Period. I vowed to give my mom and God the time and space - "a holiday from all our personal needs and feelings" to work through this quietly, together and I will continue to do that here now - respectfully. You can be assured that I will continue to be truthful with you as I have been from the beginning regarding her condition - the good, the bad and the ugly at the right time and place. Please trust that. Rumors will fly in our tabloid hungry - rush to conclusion society, and part of my connecting with you here is to make sure we are all respectful of this incredible woman, and her present journey, wherever it takes her. I will close in saying that I've had a remarkably peaceful weekend, once again made possible by a million comforting words of inspiration, prayer, and love from all of you. It was an extraordinarily beautiful weekend here in Vancouver and I walked quite a bit, listened to music, and reveled in the abundance of beauty in Nature - perhaps the easiest way to know the heart and face of God. I was comforted by my Psych cast mates, the most loving group of people I could have hoped to be surrounded by. We had some fine laughs. Always good for the soul. Lastly, I did lash out the person spreading misinformation today, I was upset, understandably. I know my mom would be the first to say, "let it go," make peace. So I offer that before I head off to sleep. The pillow is much softer in doing so."

    How many days will it take for Chelsea to tell Adam the truth? He does have the right to know he is going to be a father. He does love Chelsea, but she erroneously thinks he loves Sharon. With Sharon, it's just S E X. Sharon knows the score and should step away from him as her psychiatrist advised her. To bad she's horny.

    She would do better with a BOB. LOL At least the BOB wouldn't utter one word. LOL

    We did have a bit of a reprieve from Avery. She's Baaaccck!
    Is she regretting writing the "love letter to a boy?"

    Nicks enjoys things wrapped in Bacon. Does that mean she will wrap herself up in Bacon? I couldn't pass that one up for anything.

    Poor Gus! If his two goofy children would have had the patience, love and compassion instead of brow-beating him about "Rose," maybe he could have told him who she really is/was. IDK

    Vikki is a Mean Machine! She hates her half brother.

    I like your post simscb. Vicki knows about the baby for sure. I had forgotten about Adams toast. Tomorrow's show sounds promising. Thanks for the post Estrelita. And kmc you always make me chuckle.

    Avery encounters Dylan in Crimson Lights. Dylan apologizes for phoning and asks how things went for Avery. Dylan I get you have a guilty conscious over Avery and how Avery did lose your child that Dylan want to give Avery happiness.I actually think Dylan is holding back his own tears over how Dylan was the only one that lost a child that is very much important Dylan. I mean it does reflect that Avery also lost a child as well. too bad nick does not know that Avery also lost a kid that was in Avery's belly,before Avery ever met Nick.

    Avery answers her phone at home and says, "Nick?" It's Dylan. Avery does it sound that nick wants you back if so then why didn't nick call you first. I mean dylan called you and dylan did not think for a second that you were chelsea on the phone. Avery answers her phone saying Nick are there i want to rehash our love for you. Oh I forgot It's Dylan . Sorry dylan I am not in love with you. Nick has one too many pride Issues that nick will find the worst thing about a Woman that nick has to right that Avery still has feeling for dylan, and that will not change any time soon.

    Dylan apologizes for phoning and asks how things went for Avery.Chelsea arrives and asks if she's interrupting. chelsea has bad timing for some reason, I mean Dylan was apologizing to Avery about phoning Avery at the cottage to spend time with Avery. Dylan you are having a baby which is not even your by the way. I get it is more than confusing that chelsea walk in unwelcome that Avery deserve a apologize from dylan.

    At The Underground, Noah urges Nick to call Avery.Noah thinks he's using Dylan as an excuse - he's gun shy. noah is right Nick has no guts to call Avery himself to say hey I am sorry that I think that dylan is still around and that dylan is not leaving us alone I am actually thinking to give you another chance to make me feel happy again. I want you Avery to be part of my life. Nick choking back his tears to tell Avery this. I also agree with noah that Nick is just using Dylan an excuse not to move forward that nick is not allowed to be happy with avery. does Noah knows what Gun shy means too not telling how much you feel towards a women like Avery? what is gun actually mean in this phrase?
