    ANGELEYES my pet Bruceyboy is not and was not inferring in my post that there is a bloodtest that would diagnose bipolar disorder ...

    My point it that all MEDICAL or BIOLOGICAL issues have to be ruled out before someone starts treatment for Bipolar disorder ...

    On this show, We just has some Doctor that Adam hired come in for five minutes with Sharon and presto .. she was bipolar ...

    The storyline is an injustice to us all let alone those with the problem ...

    Got it and I apologize for my oversight. ITA.

    LML may have killed off Cassie, but come on .. .it was written and acted beautifully ... the only child dying scenario on a soap, or that matter, ANY show, that comes close is the one on General Hospital years ago with the heart transplant ....
    -------------------------------
    You know how I feel when one of the writers kills of one of the youngsters who GREW UP on the Show, just for a plot twist -- especially a female like Cassie (to send Nick and Sharon's marriage down the tubes), or Colleen (to set Abby free from being a Carlton, to being a full-fledged Newman). It's terrible, and horrible.

    Agreed ANGELEYES ... it is a very very difficult disorder to diagnose completely and treat properly ....

    Again, and I agree with HEYMON and others, it really is too much of a storyline to do properly on a SOAP ... and it does not really explain away many of the awful decisions SHARON has made ....

    Avery to the rescue.... she's so pathetic Nick is only gonna break her heart and he is gonna run back to Phyllis. only phyllis can deal with his crap and he does deal a lot of crap. Its gross that the guy she is obsessed with is her estranged sister's husband. how does she expect to build a relationship with her sister by screwing her husband. I love Adam even when he was doing his evil still loved him Nick needs to get over his self righteousness and Adam needs to go home to his wife!! I really hope she gives him another baby

    HEYMON I hear you ... but in CASSIE's case, it would be next to impossible to bring her back ....

    It would almost have to be some sort of body/patient switching scenario ... something like VICTOR having her whisked away to some clinic somewhere in the world in order to try and save her at the last minute ...but then how her return would be explained after all this time is another story

    I would really have to think about how this could be done

    The NPTB had the perfect opportunity to correct these things by using the it was all a dream scenario ... now not so much!

    The Newmans are not to blame for Sharon. The Newmans are to blame for being Newmans, they all think their sh!t don't stink. Victor could pay someone to seduce Billy, have him thrown in a hole in the ground and left to rot but he was justified in doing it because he doesn't like Billy.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    And WHY is Vicki not P.O'd at Victor for that? She's ready to leave Billy because he didn't tell her he knew where Victor was, but she's not angry about him doing what he did to Billy? WTH?!
    Posted by HeyMon at Wednesday, December 05 2012 10:34 AM
    Cassie is gone, I say, let her go. Her death was very moving, and I think we all cried for days. Same thing with Colleen. As you know, that one made me VERY upset, that Victor got her heart.
    The only way that Sharon can get on with her life is to...
    1. Have her admit her change. To have Sharon say "To #ell with it. I 'wanted' Adam, and my relationship with him was more important than explaining it to my daughter Faith one day. I know that he did to Faith, Ashley, all of you, myself, and I just don't care. In my mind, his obsession or loyalty, whatever it is, is/was the most important thing to me. His obsession/loyalty to me continues to be important to me to this day. But I have moved past him, he has married Chelsea, and I am getting on with my life."
    This way, the whole Sharon is a typical 'victim' on a Daytime Drama, who is needy, and who needs men to 'protect' her, will vanish once and for all.
    This whole bi-polar thing is an insult.
