Victor learns of the fire, Cane blames Genevieve for ruining his life, and Phyllis upsets Summer.
Phyllis approaches Nick at the Club and they discuss Summer. He tells her Chelsea lost the baby after the accident. Phyllis says it's not the time for them to be separating. Nick warns her not to go looking for Summer. Nick signs his bill and Phyllis disappears.
Genevieve finds the mystery woman at the Club and offers to pay her $100,000 cash for the name of the person behind this. The woman reacts when she says, "Colin Atkinson," but denies she's heard of him.
Katherine's at Jack's place telling him Jabot will get lost in the shuffle while he's running Newman. He tells her how great she was at running her empire, and says she must miss it. Katherine realizes he's fishing for something. She urges him to focus on the Abbott legacy and return the rest to Victor's family. They part ways with Jack saying he always respects her opinion, and Katherine giving him a last word of caution.
Nikki tells Victor, in the hospital, that she's relieved he's decided not to fight. He says he wants to see how much his kids have learned from him. She says it sounds like a test. When Nikki leaves the room, the nurse refers to her receiving an upsetting phone call. Victor checks Nikki's phone and learns the ranch was destroyed by fire. Nikki returns to find Victor gone. She realizes he knows about the ranch.
Phyllis finds Summer in the tackhouse. They talk about the ranch burning down. Phyllis tells her she knows about Chelsea losing the baby - she's sure she's been feeling guilt. Summer says she's the one who should feel guilty. Phyllis can't believe she's come to offer comfort and she's blaming the accident on her. Phyllis tells Summer she loves her, but she's not to blame for her actions - she can't be violent just because she's mad at someone. Nick comes in and Summer says Phyllis told her she killed the baby. She goes upstairs. Nick's angry that Phyllis didn't stay away. Phyllis apologizes, saying she didn't mean to upset her. Nick tells her he wants a divorce. Later, Summer rejoins Nick, who tells her not to do anything rash. He tells her about Newman and Victor. He's not sure they'll get the company back - sometimes when one door closes, another opens.
Lily and Cane discuss Genevieve at Crimson Lights. They agree it's possible someone is setting her up. Talk turns to the Newman takeover. Cane thinks Jack might choose him to take the reins at Jabot. Lily urges him to go make a pitch. Later, Kay joins Lily, who tells her what Cane is hoping will happen. Katherine's skeptical, and tells Lily she just hopes Cane won't be caught in the crossfire. After, Genevieve finds Lily and tells her she knows who set her up because of how the woman reacted to Colin's name.
Cane visits Jack's house and expresses his desire to be CEO of Jabot. Jack says he has someone else in mind and Cane isn't ready. Jack won't say who it is. Cane reminds him he held the position before, and says this is about Genevieve. Jack denies it.
Victor surveys the damage at the ranch and heaves a devastated sigh. He goes inside, and is staring, bereft, when Nikki finds him. She sobs that she didn't want to tell him when he was sick. They embrace. Victor says the memories will be in their hearts. Nikki finds her music box and they flash to when he first brought her there, and the times they spent together at the ranch. Victor tells her it could be rebuilt, but they'll move forward together. It's a fresh start. Victor proposes with tears in his eyes. "Marry me for the last time. Forever."
Jack encounters Phyllis at the Club bar and tells her he wants her to work side-by-side with him at Newman. She says Nick would never forgive her. Jack says he may not anyway, and they'd be great together.
Cane returns to Crimson Lights and tells Lily Jack has other plans for Jabot - he blames his mother. Gen appears. He refuses to listen to her and says she's ruined his life for the last time. Cane explains about Jack and says he's done with her.
Genoa City Spoilers for Tomorrow on The Young and the Restless:
Nick tells Summer and Noah he filed for divorce. Summer says, "Good!"
Neil tells Jack he's not about to leave Chancellor Industries. Jack says, "My friend, I'm about to change your mind."
Summer sees Phyllis hugging Ronan at the coffee house. After, Summer asks Ronan, "Does my mom even know you have a kid?"
