Sharon reacts to her interview, Avery and Paul get new information, and Cane grills Genevieve.
Nick is outside Gloworm when he takes a call from Nikki who is in an airport. She's frustrated and can't reach Victor's people to help search. Nick wishes her good luck getting help from Sharon. Nikki is outraged she's fired loyal staff. She says she's coming home.
At the ranch, Katherine challenges Sharon about not searching for her missing husband. Sharon tells Katherine they both know Victor left because of Nikki marrying Jack - she cares enough to give him space. Katherine counters that she should want her husband with her. Sharon says she's done an interview that will explain her position. Katherine is appalled. "More press?" She tells Sharon to annul the marriage - it's the kindest thing she could do for Victor...and herself.
In Gloworm, Tucker and Genevieve bicker about her reasons for finding Victor. She insists she'll be the one to find the elusive Victor Newman. Tucker mocks her about not getting results. She takes offense - she found evidence he isn't dead. Gen says she's going back to Los Angeles and he's sending her on the private jet. After, Nick enters and asks Tucker what's going on with him and Sharon. Tucker insists he's not in this dog fight - he's just doing business. He advises Nick that public perception is hurting Newman right now - things could get worse before they get better.
In Crimson Lights, Lily tells Cane about the mystery woman with the koala bear keychain. He says she just described his late sister. Cane says they obviously hired someone who looks like her - who does that? Cane looks at the business card and decides to phone Claude Shirl. Cane tries to call Genevieve and learns she's left town. Just then she enters. Cane grills her. She says she was in L.A. Cane says Claude Shirl was there too - did her business have to do with someone looking like Samantha? Gen is upset at Cane's insinuations and takes off angrily to the patio. Lily wants to call the police. Cane says he'll find out more from Gen, and catches her looking up Victor Newman on a laptop. Meanwhile, Lily phones Ronan and asks to meet.
At Jimmy's, Paul tells Avery if this lead from a friend of Ricky's doesn't come through, they might as well convict him now. Bryce arrives and they question him, but he won't say a word. Avery starts threatening legal measures. When the kid flirts with Avery, Paul throws him up against the bar and tells him he's got nothing left to lose by killing him! The guy tells Paul that Ricky killed Rachel and the sick freak recorded every second of it. He says Ricky got loaded and bragged about it. The guy also thinks he killed Craig Hunt. Avery tells him they'll be in touch. Paul says Ricky was deranged. Avery thinks the recording could save him. Paul's ready to fight, and says they have to find the flashdrive with the recording - he wonders where it could be.
At Heather's apartment, she asks Daniel if he's weirded out that Daisy used to live there. They discuss a file box. Heather says it's all she has left of Ricky and she hasn't been able to let him go yet. She points out it could be potential evidence against his mom. Daniel just wants to be with her. They make love. After, they discuss Ricky's files. Heather wonders if she should set the box on fire. She worries about Paul and says now that she has him, she can't lose him. Heather goes in Ricky's box and pulls out a snow globe from Niagara Falls.
Sharon settles in to triumphantly read her Chronicle interview on the ranch sofa. It calls her the Newman Grim Reaper and says Victor would have been better off leaving Segundo in charge! Tucker arrives and she reads it to him - she can't believe they call her a bimbo. Tucker says the cheap shots reflect on the reporter, not her. Sharon thinks it's kind of strange that he suddenly wrote in this tone - it's not his regular style. Tucker muses that someone may have got to him - she has to decide what to do. Sharon says she's going to come out swinging.
Nick reads Sharon's interview in Gloworm and calls 'Bobby' telling him to get intel on Victor - they need him home now!
Nick arrives at the ranch and bickers with Sharon. She accuses him of buying off the reporter. Nick says she's acting like a brat having a tantrum. Sharon fires him.
Tucker meets Katherine at Gloworm. She asks what he knows about Sharon and implies that something might be going on with them. "You're up to something."

Victor tells the nun he was offered another shift. She asks if he'll take it.
Nick says to Sharon, "I need you to tell me if there's something I should know."
