Nikki confesses to Vikki, Sharon hatches a plan, and Nick confronts Phyllis.
Phyllis stammers at Nick in Trumbles. He says he saw Tim leave the store and wants to know what's going on. Phyllis says she thanked Tim for keeping quiet. Nick tells her to stop screwing around - he saw the financial adviser leave their place and followed her. They go home to talk.
At Crimson Lights, Heather asks Avery what it would take for her to drop Phyllis and represent Paul instead. Avery says Paul should never have been arrested and charged, but she won't desert Phyllis.
Nina leaves Paul alone with Michael in the visitation room. Michael tells Paul regardless of how the hypnosis goes he should not plead guilty. Paul says it's crazy for the D.A. to tell a defendant not to plead guilty. Michael tells Paul he knows he's innocent and warns him about prison. Paul says he can't prove that Ricky was a danger. Michael tells Paul he's a good man and is acting out of a misguided sense of penance.
At Eden's apartment, Kyle, Chris, and Daniel watch as Eden flips out with fear of Ricky under hypnosis. Kyle's concerned. Eden says she went looking for proof about Daisy and found her phone and wallet. The doctor asks why she's afraid. She yells, "Ricky's hands!" Eden flails and screams. Kyle leaps in and Eden comes out of it. Christine isn't sure if Eden's terror is enough to help Paul. Daniel calls Heather and leaves. Later, Kyle cuddles Eden and tells her she's brave.
Victoria finds Nikki in the Newman stable with Victor's phone. Nikki says she's ending his sham of a marriage with it, and tells her about the text. Victoria grins, "Mom, that's terrible! But I love it." They discuss Victor's disappearance. Vikki thinks he wants them to worry. She warns Nikki not to let him ruin her new marriage to Jack, and suggests she come clean about the text to Sharon. Nikki reluctantly agrees, but says she won't like it.
At the ranch, Tucker tells Sharon the text means Victor is still alive. She hisses, "He's probably annulling our marriage as we speak!" Sharon rants that Victor only married her to hurt Nikki and tells Tucker he even made her sign a pre-nup. She recalls the generous settlement in the event of divorce or his death, but can't remember how long they had to be married before it kicked in. She spots Victor's briefcase. After breaking the locks, she finds the pre-nup. Tucker reads it - she gets nothing. Sharon's furious. She decides to take a page from her husband's playbook - if the pre-nup disappears, she'd be entitled to a lot and would become force to be reckoned with in this town. Tucker thinks she's asking for trouble - the notary in Vegas witnessed her signature. She says he didn't know what he signed. Tucker warns Victor will fight her. Sharon says he owes her. Tucker leaves. Avery calls about the pre-nup. Sharon sets fire to it as she says she hasn't seen it. Nikki appears as Sharon tosses it into the fireplace. "What are you doing?"
At home, Phyllis admits to Nick that Tim was blackmailing her - he taped their sessions without her knowledge and threatened to go to the media with the recording. Nick asks why the financial adviser was there. She says she had to take from Summer's trust fund. Nick is sick of her keeping him in the dark. He's going to try to stop the money transfer. He tells Phyllis to call Avery.
Phyllis finds Avery at Crimson Lights and tells her, on the patio, that she paid Tim off again - he had hard evidence against her. Avery tells her she quits! She says getting into blackmail is the worst thing she could do - it's impossible for her to defend her. Avery goes inside and tells Heather and Chris that she'll take Paul's case. Chris asks about Phyllis. Avery says Phyllis fired her. Chris spots Phyllis and warns her she'll return for her trial.
At Trumbles, Daniel tells Heather about Eden's fear of Ricky. Heather says it should have impact on a jury. She thanks Daniel and then cries over Eden being petrified of her brother - he was a horrible person. Daniel holds her.
Chris tells Michael, in the visitation room, that Eden was hysterical with fear in the hypnosis, but didn't remember the knife. Chris tells Paul she can't advise him and is leaving tonight. Michael and Nina hug her. She tells Paul they'll soon be celebrating his innocent verdict.
At the penthouse, Nick tells Phyllis he couldn't stop the money transfer. She says it might be a good thing - Tim will disappear. Nick says he loves her, and is trying to stand by her, but she doesn't make it easy. He leaves.
Victor stands on the wharf at the Port of Los Angeles and watches a boat pull away.

Paul tells Avery he's just trying to do what's right. She says, "Then you fight."
Nikki asks Sharon what she's burning. Sharon says she was just stoking the fire.
At Gloworm, Nick gets a call from the security guard at the ranch saying there's a disturbance at the main house.
