Heather and Christine butt heads, Vikki refuses Nick's request, and Ronan visits Phyllis.
At the jail, Heather tells Paul he'll be out of there in no time. She thinks they have to prove that Ricky was a murderer. Paul suggests Ricky could have harmed Tim Reid too. Paul is sad that his best shot at freedom is proving his son's a killer. Heather reminds Paul of Ricky's confessions. Paul just wants him to rest in peace. Heather pleads with Paul to fight and not be Ricky's last victim.
At the station, Ronan and Michael discuss having nothing new to help Paul. Ronan says Christine's talking to Tim Reid's landlady today. In interrogation, the lady tells Christine she saw Ricky at Tim's, but doesn't want to get mixed up with all the people who came to his door. Chris asks who else she saw. The lady says there was a good-looking redhead banging on the door - mean as a snake! Christine gets Phyllis's mug shot. Chris tells Ronan and Michael she doubts Phyllis and Tim had tea. They go back to the woman, who identifies Phyllis from the photo. "She was ready to claw someone's eyes out."
Phyllis, Nick, and Avery discuss Phyllis's defense at the penthouse. Nick warns Billy is determined to blow this story up - he'll call Vikki to get him on a leash. Phyllis tries to convince Avery to let her write a blog. Avery changes the subject to brownies. Phyllis asks if she's mean to her. Avery says sometimes she is, but it's up close, so it's progress. Phyllis tells her she's grateful.
At home, Billy shows Victoria the proposed promo for the Restless Style pilot - it's Nick punching him. Billy says the big cheeses think it's great TV. Vikki tells him to use it. Billy says she's slaying him. Vikki says Phyllis would run the story if it was about anyone but her. Billy appeals to Vikki to work at Restless Style. She says she has a job - Johnny. Billy thinks she can do it all. He sits down to dig more dirt on Phyllis. Later, Nick shows up and tells Vikki that Phyllis is part of their family and Billy should stop making her look guilty. Vikki says she won't tell him to back off. They bicker. Nick accuses Vikki of doing this because of Lucy. He says Phyllis isn't capable of attempted murder. Vikki says maybe not now, but she willfully tried to kill two people back then. He can't change that.
At the penthouse, Avery gets a text and she and Phyllis get on the laptop to watch the promo of Nick punching Billy. Nick returns and they tell him the footage of him punching Billy is on the internet. Avery goes to do damage control and Phyllis kisses Nick. Avery returns and says she made an argument against the video.
Billy arrives at the police station and tries to get tips on Phyllis's case from Heather. He offers to write a story on Paul being a misunderstood hero, and brush up her image too. Heather turns him down. Michael, Christine, and Ronan appear. Michael tells Billy to get out. Christine tells Heather that Phyllis may have escalated to full-on homicide. Ronan says yelling isn't murder. Heather says they were supposed to prove Ricky harmed Tim. Michael tells Christine to focus on Paul's case. Heather tells Christine she'd let Paul rot in his cell if it meant Phyllis would be in one too. Ronan and Michael step aside. Michael tells Ronan that either Ricky killed Tim or he's still out there. They agree it's best if he stays away. Ronan offers to go talk to Phyllis.
Billy gets home to find Vikki punching the sofa. She's still upset about Nick's visit. Billy tells her to come down off the ceiling and he'll put a smile back on her face.
At Jack's pool, Billy and Vikki sip on 'drinkie-poos' and toast to babysitters. Vikki muses that she likes him, but lets him know she doesn't want to work at Restless Style. Billy gets a call and learns Avery got the video blocked and there is a media ban on publishing anything on the case. He says it's duck and cover time.
Phyllis opens her door to Ronan, who says he has a question as a friend. "Did you kill Time Reid?" She slaps him.
Heather and Christine end up visiting Paul in a room together. Heather tells Paul Christine is sabotaging his case to crucify Phyllis. "Fire her now!"
At Crimson Lights, Avery warns Nick nothing else can go wrong with Phyllis's case. He thanks her for stepping up.

Nick tells Victor he's lost all perspective when it comes to Sharon. Victor says this is insulting.
Jack tells Sarge when Nikki walks down that aisle she's going to see a smiling and standing Jack.
Chelsea warns Sharon not to try and come between her and Adam again.
