Nikki leaves the ranch for good, Nick packs his bags, and Paul is charged with first degree murder.
At the ranch Victor tells Nikki she can't leave. He asks her to sit down - he has one question. Is she really in love with Jack? He's being straightforward and she admits she is. He screams at her to get out and never come back.
Sarge is coaching Jack as he moves his leg again. They are thrilled. Jack breaks down in tears and thanks Sarge. He wants it to be a surprise for everyone. He shares that that Nikki believed in him and now he gets to marry her. Sarge calls him a friend and congratulates him. He calls Nikki who's just walking into the club.
At the club Sharon caresses the stolen necklace and flashes to Nikki talking to Victor. She runs into Nicki but Nikki blasts her for the treatment of her "horse" and says she should go home and have a "real good ride." Soon Eden wanders in and heads upstairs. Later Jack joins Nikki for lunch. He asks about her run-in with Victor. She muses, "Same Victor… different day." They playfully chat about when they were first married. Nikki admits she can be feisty at times but Jack is happy he's marrying her. Nikki wants start planning their big day - there's no reason to wait.
Sharon arrives home to the ranch. She wants to talk business and plays with her stolen necklace while telling Victor it's new. Victor suggests they have dinner at home. Later Sharon heads upstairs as Victor works a phone call.
At the cemetery Paul is asks if someone is there. He kneels and says goodbye to Ricky - he loves him. As he gets up Ronan shows up. Paul knows why he's there and surrenders. Ronan reads him his rights.
At the penthouse, Michael recommends Phyllis talk to Avery and Nick. He admits he took a risk by telling her that Christine found a way to prosecute her. He told her so she could get her affairs in order. She needs to face this and warns her if she doesn't he'll be all over her. He leaves and Nick arrives. He shares that Avery and Michael think she's guilty. He doesn't want to believe them. When she says nothing he realizes she did it. She says it was a mistake, she regrets it. Nick doesn't understand. She says he doesn't know what she went through. Nick asks her why she didn't say anything before. She tells him she was afraid… when would the right time to bring up her jealousy of Christine? So she did this out of jealousy? Nick suggests he should had been afraid for Sharon since he knows how she hates her. She shares that she was a different person way back then. Nick says he doesn't know if he ever knew her. Phyllis says if she told him she was worried he wouldn't love her anymore. Nick doesn't know how he feels about her and goes to pack his bags.
At the station, Christine and Nina tell Heather Paul is being arrested. Ronan and Paul come into the station and Nina blasts Ronan for doing this. Paul assures her it's okay and Michael announces the charge is first degree murder. Nina and Heather cause a scene and are kicked out. Later Christine questions Michael on the charge. He tells her it sticks. Paul didn't get bail. Michael says it was the judge's decision but tells her Paul will get protective custody. Later in interrogation room Christine wishes she could have prevented the arrest but Paul tells her that he is everything she can to clear his name. He doesn't know what was going through his mind - he took the life of his child. Christine knows he didn't intend to do this. They are fighting for his life… he can't give up. Paul doesn't care, he'll accept any punishment he's given. Christine tries to pump him up and says she won't give up on him. In another room Ronan tells Michael they can't find the knife and they need to make the case stronger. Michael agrees that's "usually" how it works. He confesses he'd love to prove that Paul didn't do it. Ronan feels the same way. Michael suggests they do it... they make it happen.
At Crimson Lights Nina apologizes to Heather for getting them kicked out. She wonders if Paul will get bail. Eden wanders and the finds out Paul was arrested. Eden thinks Michael believes Paul is innocent but needs a witness. She thinks he could be imprisoned because of her. She admits she's visited the scene to try and help but it's all blank. Nina stresses that she has to help. Eden wishes it would all come back.
