Avery confronts Phyllis, Adam proposes a partnership to Victor, and Paul says a tearful goodbye to Ricky.
Avery catches Phyllis at Restless Style. She wants to know what she was doing the night of the hit and run. She asks a barrage of questions but Phyllis dodges them. She wants to help but Phyllis claims she can’t help her. Avery asks if there’s truth to what Michael is saying. Phyllis freaks out and screams "Why don’t you just rip out my heart?" Avery reminds her that’s what she told their dad. Phyllis is offended and goes off on Avery then storms out.
At Crimson Lights, Paul tells Nina and Christine he can only think of burying his son.
At physio Jack surprises Nikki with a phone call from designer Jean Pierre - he’ll be doing her wedding dress. Sarge comes in and Nikki exits. Jack works himself hard - he’s on the verge of a breakthrough. Sarge thinks it’s too much but Jack wants to stand at the altar for his wedding. Later while alone, Jack moves his leg. He calls Sarge over to tell him.
At the club Victor is on the phone when Adam and Chelsea come in. Chelsea leaves and drops her ring on the way out. Sharon picks it up for her and mentions the ring Adam gave her then Chelsea leaves. Adam wanders over to Victor and gives him a blank check. He suggests they should be partners - he has his eye on the legacy. Victor says they can talk if he ends his engagement. Victor blasts Chelsea then Adam reminds him that he hired her to break up Billy and Victoria. Victor threatens to do whatever it takes to stop him if he tries to bring Chelsea into the family. As Victor leaves Adam threatens he’ll go all Satan’s understudy if he doesn’t leave Chelsea alone. Sharon overhears and comes over. He tells her that he moved on from his past then Chelsea came along. He wants Sharon to be happy too. She claims she is. Later, Chelsea sits down with Adam at the club. He asks her to elope.
At the cemetery Ricky is laid to rest. Father Glen blesses the grave as Heather, Paul, Nina and Christine bow their heads in prayer. The Father offers his condolences and leaves them alone. Paul shares a memory that suggested a young Ricky wanted to see his dad and then wonders who was in Ricky’s life to guide him. The girls console Paul. He thanks them but needs to be alone. A distraught Paul kneels at the grave and talks out loud to Ricky. He tells him he loves him but failed him. He came into the world perfect and whole - nobody’s born with a broken soul. They break along the way just like his is now. He tells Ricky he’s sorry. As Paul prays to God to let him rest in peace he hears a noise. Pauls asks if someone is there. Nearby, a rosary cross lies on the ground.
At the station Nick confronts Michael about going after Phyllis. Michael tells him she committed attempted murder. Nick admits Phyllis can be a pain in the butt but that doesn't mean she’s a murderer. Michael asks if he knew her back then. Michael explains about the credit card charge and says he loves her but knows she did it. Nick says the only thing he has for proof is paper and suggests Ricky and Daisy could have created a fake statement. He demands Michael drop it. Ronan comes over and says they have to deal with Paul. Later Heather arrives and Michael lets her know that they are pressing charges against Paul. He offers her a leave of absence so she can stay away from the case. Christine comes in and takes Michael aside. She tells the news about there being no statute of limitations - he can prosecute Phyllis. Michael excuses himself to take a call. It’s Phyllis. She needs to see him. Ronan tells Christine and Nina that they are charging Paul with murder.
Michael arrives at the penthouse. Phyllis wants to talk - she needs a friend. Michael reminds her he’s the DA and lets her know Christine found a way around the statute of limitations. He tells her not to say anything.
Nick stops by at Restless Style and Avery admits she thinks Phyllis did it.
At the ranch Nikki lectures Victor about the treatment of Sharon’s horse. Victor roars she didn’t come because of the horse but because she’s jealous - they both know it. He thinks she’s jealous? She tells him he’s not invited to her wedding. She doesn’t want him to ruin it. He suggests she wants him ride in on a white horse and save her. They sling insults back and forth as Sharon listens from the stairs. After, Nikki tells Victor she’s leaving and not coming back. He asks her not to go.
At the jewelry store, Sharon slips an expensive necklace into her package.
