    Pink Elephant.

    Monday, July 02 2012
Eden has amnesia, Paul's in shock, and Abby admits she kidnapped herself.

Victor and Sharon arrive at the park. Sharon wishes Jack a Happy Birthday as Victor snarks at him. Nikki tells them it was a bad idea to come. Jack and Victor spar over who is more worried about Abby. Tucker joins Ashley, who is on the phone with Abby. Ash asks if she's okay. Abby says she's fine. She uses her safe word from when she was young, "pink elephant," to prove she's not in danger. She adds, "I never was." Abby admits she kidnapped herself to get attention off the gala. Ashley starts shouting. Abby hears Tucker is there, and they bicker about that before hanging up. Ashley complains to Tucker that she has to tell Victor he was right. She interrupts Victor and Jack's sniping to say Abby is alright. Ashley takes a deep breath and explains that Abby cooked this whole thing up by herself. Victor says she needs to be taught a lesson - they'll let her get herself out of this predicament. Victor tells Jack, "I told you so." Jack tells Nikki that Abby may be safe, but not from Victor.

At the Club, Paul is forced to shoot Ricky after he lifts the knife into the air. Ricky falls backwards from the window. Paul rushes over and yells, "Oh no!" As Paul freaks out, Eden awakens. She looks out the window, gasps, and then finds Paul, crying. He tells her to call the police.

Carmine comes out of the shower wearing just a towel. Abby clears her throat. He says he used all the hot water. Abby muses that she could use a cold shower anyway! Once he's dressed, Abby says they need to talk, and then asks if he works out. They do Sudoku puzzles until Carmine says he's going to sleep. Abby lies on his shoulder. Once he's asleep, she goes outside and calls Ashley to tell her she's not quite ready to come home yet!

At the station, Heather teases Ronan that he's like Batman. They laugh at Victor Newman having sent out the bat signal this time. They discuss Daniel's case. Ronan says she deserved another shot after Ricky set her up before. He thinks Michael is lucky to have her. They learn there was a shooting at the Club involving Paul and take off.

Lauren and Michael discuss Phyllis being upset with him at Crimson Lights. Kevin tells them they still haven't found Eden. Michael takes a call and tells them Ricky Williams is dead at the Club - Paul and Eden were there. Kevin goes to meet Eden at the hospital. Michael and Lauren take off.

A detective takes Paul's gun from him in Ricky's suite. Paul sobs - he can't answer questions. Downstairs, Michael and Lauren arrive and he tells Heather that Paul may have shot Ricky. Upstairs, Ronan is told that Paul won't talk. Ronan asks Paul what happened. The story comes out in fits and starts. Ronan asks if Eden can corroborate his story. Paul thinks so - she was there.

At the hospital, Eden is told she has a nasty bump and will be held for observation. Kevin arrives. Eden tells him she woke up and Ricky had gone out the window. She doesn't remember how she ended up at Ricky's room.

Downstairs at the Club, Heather cries to Lauren. Michael gives an update on Eden, who should just have a headache. He goes upstairs, where Ronan has just given up trying to get anymore out of Paul. Michael is told Paul is pretty out of it. The detective orders Paul taken downstairs and heads to the hospital. Michael gives Ronan a hard time for interfering. Ronan says he got Paul to talk. Downstairs, Paul and Heather embrace. Lauren says she's there for him. Paul, still in shock, tells Heather he's sorry repeatedly. Heather tells him he can't leave when he tries to walk out. Later, Michael gets a report and tells Lauren that Paul's gun was unregistered - meaning it could have been pre-meditated.

At the hospital, Eden tells the detective she doesn't know why she was in Ricky's room. Kevin shows him the text she sent and explains that she suspected Ricky in Daisy Carter's disappearance. Eden says she saw Paul looking out the window when she woke up. She confirms Paul had a gun and was distraught. Eden says she didn't see a knife. Kevin reassures her after the detective leaves. She admits she's relieved that Ricky's dead.

At Crimson Lights, Sharon tells Victor that it can't be easy for Abby being half Newman, half Abbott. Victor's still going to ring her neck.

The detective returns to the Club and tells Heather and Ronan they have to take Paul in - there is no sign of a knife and Eden can't corroborate his story. They all realize he's missing.

The next morning in L.A., Paul visits Isabella to tell her what happened. She just hums and brushes her hair.

Genoa City Spoilers for Tomorrow on The Young and the Restless:

Michael tells Heather he has no other course but to consider her father a fugitive.

Phyllis says to Daniel, "He didn't just ship her off." Daniel replies, "Which means your secret is safe."

Lauren tells Michael the gun Paul had was hers. He asks, "Am I supposed to turn you in?"

Oh my gosh! What's going to happen to Paul? Will it be months before Eden remembers? This show is exhausting to watch!

motobabe I agree.....and we still don't know where Daisy is.

I'm gonna say it again, surely if she's in a dumpster somewhere, July heat, there should be a sign.....

While I am in awe of the riveting, Emmy-worth performances delivered by Doug Davidson and Peter Porte, it still seems to me that it is a crying shame that the ONLY story which TIIC could dream up for PAUL'S son was to turn him into this month's Genoa City Psycho! With the high caliber performances which these two actors delivered - I believe the two of them could have been just as riveting in a story about Paul and Ricky finding a way to be true friends. In all of the years during which Doug Davidson has appeared on Young and Restless - he has never had a genuinely successful romantic relationship and all of his family relationships have been tied to dealing with a relative who is completely bonkers. While it is great to see the character of Paul Williams finally enjoying some much-deserved air time - it is too bad that the Y&R writers seem to be able to think ONLY in the direction of one more psycho in town!

Someone really needs to give Abby a swift kick in the butt. Once again she is only thinking of herself to get attention. She really needs to grow up and act like an adult instead of a spoiled brat.

Doug Davidson (Paul) has been stellar this past week and so has Peter Porte (Ricky). Why do the writers always have Paul lose the ones he loves and why is everyone in his life psycho? I would of loved to see Paul and Ricky bond as father and son and work on their relationship and have a happy ending for once.

Poor Paul. He is in shock and can't even talk.

Now Eden has amnesia. I can see this is going to go on for a long time before she remembers anything that happened.

Dang, Paul bailed and flew to L.A. to see Isabella. That was a fast trip.

    Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

Motobabe and Estrelita, I agree with everything you both wrote. This show is getting exhausting to watch, but it is finally getting better:-))

Whoa Paul Will Never Be Himself Again, After Killing Ricky!

I've never seen the look of awfulness on Paul's face, until now.
Parental guilt sucks for poor Paul.
I never thought Paul would even kill his own flesh & blood.
He must've had a million thoughts going through his head, before actually pulling the trigger on Ricky.

Darn Paul Flew To L.A., California To Visit Isabella In A Mental Hospital!

Oh my Paul flew out of Genoa City, with his red ruby shoes for wings fast! lol!
Wow Isabella's been in that mental facility for a very long time.
Her medicine must be working good it seems, just brushing her hair constantly in the wheelchair.

Daisy's in the dumpster, where her scarf was found.
So nobody's even bothering to look in the dumpster for Daisy's body.
I guess her body will start to pay off with that stench of death smell, and then they'll find her.
Or maybe sanitation department, will empty the dumpster beforehand.
I hope they don't recycle their trash pickups!

    Estralita, GREAT POST!

Of course, EDEN would have amensia. This RECYCLED GARAGE makes my blood boil. Her memory will probably return by the end of the year if we are lucky to have this show on the air.

I don't know about all of you, but if it takes that long, I am OUT of here.

Not one time has Paul really had any REAL happiness.

It would have been wonderful to have had Ricky come to GC WITHOUT that huge PLANK on his shoulder. There could have/should have been a good relationship between Paul and Ricky. STUPID ASININE WRITERS!
