Good morning posting family……quite a bit of rain here in Baltimore today. Hope all are safe and well.

I am going to play devil’s advocate (how appropriate,given the subjects) regarding this Daisy/Phyllis situation. Let’s say that after hearing about the pregnancy Daisy sees this as an opportunity to fix the rift between herself and Phyllis. After all, she’s been successful in getting Daniel to marry her, maybe she can share some information that might endear her to Phyllis. To prove her intent she even gets a gift (nicely wrapped, I might add).

Before she can get a word in, Phyllis goes into attack mode and everything blows up and BAM, BAM, BAM Phyllis puts her out….won’t even listen to what she had to say about BH Ricky. Now she’s mad, angry, ticked off. But, once she’s out the door, she hears Phyllis calling for help. It’s clear she’s in distress but since Daisy is so angry with Phyllis, she leaves her in her misery.
I want to say that Daisy’s original intent may have been sincere, but it is very hard to deal with Phyllis when she’s rabid and she was very much like a rabid dog with Daisy. Her inability to trust Daisy is based on her knowing that Daisy is so much like she “used” to be so she is sure that Daisy can’t be trusted.

I can’t help wondering how things would have turned out had Phyllis accepted the olive branch that Daisy offered….but, alas, we will never know.

I kind of believe that Daisy was sincere in her orginal effort. Things went to hell so quicky, she lost the connection to sincerity. Hell, it was always just a fleeting concept for her anyway.

I am not glad Phyllis miscarried, but I am relieved that she is not having another baby....it was a stupid storyline to begin with. All of a sudden NONE of the women on this soap have a job to go to....talking about weird...that's weird.

I think Sharon's red dress looks gorgeous on her. I don't like her flaunting herself and all the nasty behavior, however.


You had better take that up with TIIC. They can't seem to write any better for her character!!!

"We can rebuild them " Part 2 of 3

Our story continues to unfold for the residents of Genoa City after the great tornado has departed and they recover their lives in its aftermath. We are treated to various scenes of firefighters and other rescue personnel moving about the City, and now focusing on the scene at View Tower, the top floor of which is burning. There has been no word from, nor has anyone been able to reach Tucker and Miss Ashley. At the Abbott Mansion, Jack and Abby can do nothing but wait. Jack says to Abby … "They've got to be alright … The've got too!!! My god, after all they have been through …. " Abby hugs Jack and tells him she knows they will see them again.

Meanwhile, at the Genoa City airport, in a private hanger facility, Murphy has summoned various personnel to assist with the death of the Duchess. A doctor of internal medicine from Sweden, and a family friend, is tending to the Duchess's body as Murphy sits forlornly across the aisle.

In a moment of great surprise, the doctor exclaims …. "Well I'll be damn …. the old girl strikes again .. Murphy, get this plane in the air NOW … we're going to Sweden" As the twinkle returns to Murphy's eyes, and with a spring in his step, he orders to Pilot to radio the tower for clearance and with the sun shining brightly behind them, we see the private leer jet rise and disappear in the sky.

As the helicopter carrying Nick, Noah, Billy and Victoria lands at the Newman Ranch, the occupants, as they deboard, are in stunned silence as they survey the scene. What the tornado did not level, fire has taken the rest …. but what remains of the fire are simply smoldering embers, and with the sun shining brightly, an eerie, smokey fog is hanging over the ranch, making it difficult to clearly see the surroundings. A sudden breeze comes upon them, and in that moment, a clearing in fog reveals Nikki and Victor, kneeling on the ground together in front of Adam's body. As if in slow motion, Nick, Victoria and Noah are drawn towards them, as they hear Nikki say to Victor, as she takes his hand. "You didn't kill him, Victor. It was Richard Hightower that did that … don't you remember? In that fight back at the prison …. None of us physically killed him … but I don't think any of us helped him at all while he was with us .. that's for sure. "

"Look at our home, Nikki .. " Victor cries. "It's gone … soooo many memories .. so many things that we did together … they're gone." At that moment, the children and grandchildren move in and all hug each other as Nikki continues. "They were just buildings Victor, they had become remnants of our not so illustrious past and reminders of all the hateful and nasty things we had done to each other. In a way, the ranch had become toxic as a home, much like our marriages over and over. Don't you know that? But don't you see that what really matters is not whether you and I, or Nick and Sharon, are married to each other … we are family regardless! In that respect we are better apart … but we are still family. And I never took it all from you Victor .. never. I just had to make you think that so that you would stop destroying yourself and us along with you."

"We can rebuild them!" Victor exclaims and in that moment, another sudden breeze comes along and clears the fog again, just enough for them to see Nikki's limo on its side against a bank. Lauren, Michael and Sharon "pop" out of the side windows and Sharon says …

"I guess if they can rebuild the six-million dollar man, then we can rebuild a 60-million dollar ranch" and with tears in everyone's eyes, Nick and Noah run to her.
