Victor holds a board meeting, Adam's vision returns, and Genevieve heads to Japan.
Sharon greets Victor at Newman with some ideas for the beauty line. Victor reminds her they need the board's approval. Sharon exits, and Genevieve arrives wanting the secret to getting the contract in Japan. Victor won't help. She warns Jabot will triumph. He won't rise to the bait. Down the hall, Sharon hears Tucker, Lauren, and the other board members discussing Victor's proposal to start another cosmetics line. They don't like the idea. Sharon is stunned to hear Lauren say that even if she approved, Sharon is the last person she'd want running it. Tucker agrees. Sharon tells Victor what she heard. Genevieve eavesdrops, and then re-enters Victor's office and offers to get Davis Holloway to vote how Victor wants - if he'll help her.
Victoria, Nick, Abby, and Nikki are at Crimson Lights. Nikki tells them they all must attend Victor's birthday get together at the Club later.
Chelsea stops by Adam's suite and asks him about what happened at the police station. He isn't anxious to talk. She tells him there is an envelope on the floor - it's notice of the board meeting at Newman and a prospectus. Adam asks Chelsea to read him the prospectus on his way to Newman.
Victor opens the board meeting at Newman and starts discussion on his proposal. Tucker, Lauren, Davis, and Bob don't want a cosmetics line. Victor makes his arguments and Nick listens. After, Nick is arguing in favor of the line when Adam arrives. Adam makes a case for it, and the other board members want him to run it. Nick says Adam doesn't work there - he'll oversee it. They vote. Davis, Gen's FMN man has the deciding vote and approves. As everyone files out, Victor thanks Adam for his support. Adam says he did it because it was the right thing, not because he offered to help him yesterday. Nick scoffs at the kinder, gentler Adam. Victor returns to his office to give Sharon the good news.
Genevieve meets Victoria at home and tells her Victor gave her the key to the deal in Japan - she's leaving today. Victoria thinks it's a terrible idea. Gen says she's going, and she needs Vikki to cover an out-of-town meeting.
Chelsea is at the Club bar getting lemon for her water when Nikki spots her. Chelsea assures her she's not drinking. Nikki says she'll be watching her. Chelsea leaves. Victoria and Abby arrive. Vikki tells Nikki that Genevieve wants her to cover an out-of-town meeting. Nick appears, followed by Victor and Sharon. Nikki says Sharon can stay if he likes, it's his birthday. Victor proposes a toast to the new cosmetics line that will be run by Nicholas and Sharon. Victor assures Sharon he wants her there. Nick tells his mother and sisters he can handle working with Sharon. Genevieve arrives with a monogrammed briefcase for Victor. Nikki glares as Victor asks her to join them. Later, he wishes Gen luck in Japan. Nikki urges Victoria to attend her meeting. Vikki wishes Victor a happy birthday and exits. Victor thanks Nikki for planning the party despite their argument. Nikki tells him she's moving out of the ranch - he's ticked. Sharon thanks Nick for offering to work with her - he says they'll see how it goes.
At home, Chelsea leaves Adam a message asking him to let her know how the meeting went.
Adam and Chelsea meet at Crimson Lights for coffee. He says the meeting went fine, but he doesn't know if his father and brother believe he's sincere. Adam gets a twitch in his eye. Inside, Tucker and Lauren bitterly discuss the outcome of the board meeting and the way Victor does business. Tucker tells her if they join forces, they could do what they believe is best for the company. Lauren says it's the best proposal she's had all day.
Adam returns to the Club and rubs his eyes. Suddenly he sees the stairs, and Sharon and Nick across the way. A doctor comes to his suite and marvels at Adam regaining his sight. Adam asks for doctor/patient confidentiality.
In the morning, Sharon arrives for a meeting at Newman. Nick says it will just be the two of them.
Chelsea finds Nikki staying in Vikki and Billy's house in the morning. She says Vikki is out of town.
Victoria surprises Billy in L.A. She laughs that it's St. Patrick's Day weekend!
In Japan, the man Genevieve was meeting doesn't turn up, but Victor does.
Genoa City Spoilers for Next Week on The Young and the Restless:
Nick says to Phyllis, "I tell you there is nothing between Sharon and me, but you just flip out again."
Nikki tells Jack it's a mistake to be away too long from the one you love.
Victor says to Genevieve, "You knew I would be here, and yet you showed up, so what's your reason for being here?"
