Adam visits Jack, Paul confronts Phyllis and Ricky, and Victor makes Sharon an offer.
At Restless Style, Phyllis looks at a mock up of the cover with Adam as Satan's understudy. Ricky appears to confront her for taking all the credit for the article.
Victor pays Sharon a visit at home to see if she's alright after seeing the article. Victor tells her that Adam's supposed change was nothing but manipulation. Sharon disagrees - what happened to him in Kansas was real, but it doesn't excuse what he did. They discuss how they were both willing to give Adam another chance. Victor says Adam's a lost cause. Sharon says they both need to start over.
At Crimson Lights, Paul spots Restless Style and curses.
Nick is at Victoria's house. She says she's settling in at Beauty of Nature and thanks him for his support. Chelsea enters and shows them Restless Style. Vikki phones Billy, who says he didn't know about it, but isn't angry. Nick muses that Phyllis mentioned a controversial piece she was killing - he wonders why she changed her mind. They discuss how Victor will react. Chelsea listens as Vikki says she's usually mad at him, but Nick says he's their father - that will never change.
At home, Jack reads Restless Style. The maid lets Adam in. Jack tells him he's got a lot of nerve. Adam wonders why he's not kicking him out. Jack says, "Keep talking." Adam admits to knowing that Patty was in town. He says he didn't bring her there, but he didn't turn her in either - in the end he tried to stop her. He says he's truly sorry. Jack smashes a glass and tells him that's what he thinks of his apology. Livid, Jack says Patty was a ticking time bomb and he let her tick down to zero. Jack tells him he's the poor man's Victor Newman - he's just like him but without the charm. Jack refers to the article in Restless Style and is surprised Adam doesn't know. Adam quips, "I'm a bit behind on my reading." Jack hollers that he made the cover - as Satan! Jack reads out loud and asks if Adam has a rebuttal. Adam says he made his apology, that's what he came for. He phones for help out of the house and leaves.
Paul arrives at Restless Style where Phyllis is telling Ricky she owed him nothing. Paul says he came to see Billy about the article, but obviously it's the two of them who are behind it. Phyllis says she made it clear Adam was responsible. Paul doesn't blame her for not caring about Patty - she nearly killed Summer - but he says he can't deal with seeing her exploited to sell magazines. He turns on Ricky, telling him they'll take this up somewhere else. Paul shouts at Phyllis that she's as bad as Adam - they both used Patty. Once alone, Phyllis is confronted by Sharon, who thanks her for the reminder that she did the right thing by cutting Adam out of her life for good. Nick arrives, and Sharon leaves. Nick muses that Sharon handled it well. Phyllis says she saw them at the Club all over each other. Nick explains she was upset, and asks if that's why Phyllis ran the article. He asks if she's trying to protect what they have, or kill it. Phyllis guesses that it had to do with control. Nick reassures her. Phyllis cries that she's irrational. Nick wants what they had back, and asks her to let them have it.
At Gloworm, Victor encounters Anita working. She says she needed pocket money since Billy didn't come through. Victor says he's a punk and tells her she's still got time to do what she came to do. Victor steps away, and Anita looks at Jeff. Chelsea enters and wants to know where her father is. Anita tells her to get her head on straight about the kid first. They bicker. Chelsea tells her she's disgusting. Victoria enters and spots Victor. She says she saw the article, and lets him know that Billy had nothing to do with it. Victor says Billy lives to damage their family. Victoria tells him she accepted Genevieve's offer, and lets him know she's sick of his disapproval. Victor calls Sharon and says he has a proposition for her. Nearby, Anita asks Jeff if he has any kids. He chuckles that he doesn't think so. Anita approaches Victoria and warns that tomorrow Chelsea could change her mind about the baby. Victoria says Chelsea is nothing like her mother.
At the Club, Paul asks Ricky if he really hates his family this much. Ricky says he's a journalist. Paul laments Patty ending up in a maximum-security prison where there is no compassion. Paul accuses Ricky of wanting to make money off of it. Ricky says the story presented itself - not his fault. Adam enters. Paul gets up and warns he's about to knock him on his ass. He says there is no longer anyplace in this world for Patty - and it's because of him. Adam apologizes for enabling her - he knows it's useless - but he's paying for what he did. Paul hisses, "You got off easy." Adam sits at the bar. Chelsea watches him. Paul returns to Ricky, who says Adam is lucky he's a decent guy. Paul tells Ricky he's sorry he wasn't more involved, but he's not a man he wants to get to know now. Ricky mutters, "You can't lose what you never had." Chelsea approaches Adam and pretends not to know about the article - she offers to keep him company.
Jack arrives at physiotherapy. Sarge notes that he's pissed off, and urges him to channel that anger.
Victor meets Sharon at her house. He tells her he's starting a new beauty line at Newman and wants her to be the face. She accepts. He says she'll be working with Nick.
Genoa City Spoilers for Next Week on The Young and the Restless:
Sharon says to Victor, "Phyllis would lose her mind." Victor says Phyllis is a petulant child and he doesn't give a damn what she thinks.
Victoria asks Chelsea why she was talking to Adam. Chelsea says, "Because I know him."
In Crimson Lights, Daisy cries, "Please Phyllis just hand me the baby." Phyllis asks, "Can't you just let this child be happy?"
