Nick gets a threatening letter, the Newmans support each other, and Ronan uncovers something on a hunch.
At the police station, Ronan tells a colleague that the pillows from Diane's room are driving him nuts. An officer appears with one of the missing pages from her diary - it was left on the front desk.
Abby finds Victor at Victoria's house and tells them she's going to college. Victoria shows them the latest headline - it shows Victor, Adam, and Abby, and says the Newmans were questioned in Diane's death. Victor thinks Ronan gave the information to the paper.
Ronan finds Phyllis at the Club and tells her he doesn't think she's a killer - except in a short skirt. He asks for her opinion on Nick and Ashley's secret phone calls in the park. Phyllis says it's probably perfectly innocent and takes off. Ronan joins Adam in the dining room and shows him a page from Diane's diary that says she knew Adam was going to kill her. Adam accuses Ronan of trying to frame him. Ronan wants to question him further.
At the tackhouse, Nick opens a threatening letter and phones Ashley to ask her to come over. When she arrives, he shows her the letter demanding $50 grand be delivered to the warehouse or the person will tell the cops about Nick's call to Ashley the night Diane died. Ash says she received another photo too. As Nick says he won't give in to blackmail, Phyllis arrives. She lets them know Malloy questioned her about them. Ashley gets a call from Abby - she has to go. Nick tells Phyllis about the threats, saying they blame Adam. Phyllis vows they'll get him. She suggests Nick lure Adam out while she documents it with her phone. Nick says he hated keeping this secret and they kiss.
In Ronan's office, Victor accuses him of feeding the newspaper to try and manufacture a case. Adam looks on. Victor hollers that he wasn't there the night Diane died. Ronan plays the tape of Adam and Victor discussing being in the park. Victor calls Ronan an arrogant S.O.B. who taped him and Adam illegally. Victor goes, but Ronan holds Adam. Heather comes in and asks questions. She and Ronan have a yelling match - she tells him he can't rush into an arrest, it will come back to bite them. Ronan lets Adam go.
Ashley arrives at Victoria's where Abby apologizes. She and Vikki show Ashley the headline. Victor returns and Victoria says they can sue for libel because neither Victor nor Abby were actually questioned like the article says. Victor and Abby both admit they were. Abby tells them about the box and the diary. Victor intones, "God only knows what he'll find in that diary."
In the warehouse, Nick tries to lure out the letter-writer while Phyllis hides with her phone. Ronan appears and says, "I see you got my note. You've got a lot of explaining to do."
At the station, Ronan asks Nick what he was willing to pay $50 grand to cover up. Ronan adds that the diary made him wonder if Nick killed Diane after their affair, or if Phyllis did it out of jealousy. Ronan calls Abby, who is still with Victor, Vikki, and Ashley. He tells her to put him on speaker. Ronan announces the paper will print an apology if Abby admits what Diane had on her. Abby stays quiet, so Ronan shakes them up by revealing they were all in the park that night. Ronan hangs up and tells the detective the Newmans walk around like kings and queens. He glances at one of the pillows from Diane's room - 'It's Good To Be King." He thinks it's a clue. In the other area, Nick and Phyllis are told they're being held. In Ronan's office, he matches the suspects' photos to the pillows. Ronan grabs the pillow he thinks represents Abby, opens it with a knife, and finds a flashdrive!
At Victoria's house, Victor tells her, Abby, and Ashley that Ronan's call was meant to rattle them - they're all innocent, right? Ashley says Malloy only has circumstantial evidence. She and Abby go. Vikki tells Victor she saw him with Diane in the park that night. Outside, Abby and Ashley discuss feeling nervous.
At Crimson Lights, Adam and Heather discuss the diary evidence. Heather says it would be poetic justice for someone to go after him with a bogus diary. Adam phones someone and says he needs to see them now.
Adam enters the warehouse and hollers, "You're out of control. You're out of your mind trying to set me up. That page from the diary Ronan showed me - you wrote it. Come out, come out, wherever you are." On a crate, a toy monkey starts clanging cymbals together. Adam leaves.

Avery tells Phyllis she needs to bring Lucy to see her mother at the penitentiary today.
Katherine says to Jack, "If Tucker wins, do you really think he will sell you Jabot?"
Victor, with Abby beside him, hollers at Ronan to find the real killer instead of harassing his family.
