Kevin walks out, Abby panics, and Deacon taunts Phyllis.
Adam puts his room back together after the police search. He notices his Harvard ring is missing.
At the station, Ronan confronts Victor and Michael with the paperwork on Kyle. Victor feels it's irrelevant that custody was signed over to him right before Diane died. He says Adam is the killer. Adam appears and Victor hands Ronan his watch, saying Diane told him Adam planned to use it to frame him. He tells Ronan to lift Adam's prints off it and put him in jail. Victor goes, and Adam argues with Ronan about his ring. Ronan gets a report and tells Adam that his ring has a chip and the indentation didn't appear on Diane's arm. Adam gloats that he has nothing on him and leaves.
Victoria meets Abby at Crimson Lights' patio. Abby got a text from Billy, but Vikki doesn't. Victoria goes inside where Chloe is ranting to Kevin about Billy having disappeared. Victoria says maybe he'll text Delia from Asia. Chloe and Victoria bicker over who drove Billy away. Kevin referees. Out on the patio, Daniel congratulates Abby on becoming a spokesmodel. She tells him about Billy taking off. Victoria returns and Daniel apologizes for the trouble Phyllis has caused.
Phyllis is pushing Lucy's stroller in the park when Deacon appears. He wonders if she's one of the people who Diane pissed off. They bicker. Deacon lets Phyllis know that he may know some secrets. After he leaves, Daniel shows up. He and Phyllis argue about Lucy. Phyllis admits she's freaked out over the Diane thing and asks him to watch Lucy for awhile. He agrees.
Still on the patio, Abby wants to talk Newman business. Victoria tells her Victor put a hold on the campaign. They discuss the video confession. Victoria wonders how Diane got her hands on it anyway. Deacon appears and needles Abby, saying that seeing her bare it all makes it worthwhile to work at Gloworm. Abby realizes he saw her tape her confession and panics. She tells Victoria that Diane hid copies - she saw the key the night Diane died. Victoria promises to figure this out.
At the Chancellor Estate, Chloe and Kevin fight over Billy having sent a bracelet from Hong Kong for Delia. Esther comes in with Delia. Chloe asks Kevin to leave the room, and gives Delia her bracelet. Chloe tells her daddy is away on business, but he'll call. She assures Delia that daddy adores her, just like Chance. After, Chloe tells Esther she hates that Delia has to be disappointed. Esther says Kevin is still there. He appears, and Chloe hugs him. Kevin points out how upset she's been over Billy. He thinks she has a thing for bad boys; the ones who leave. He adds, "Since that's not me, we're not us." They argue, but Kevin stops it - he won't give her the drama she's wants. He says he's not her Mr. Right and walks out.
Abby and Victor discuss the video situation at the ranch. He wants her to work at Beauty of Nature and learn the business. Abby is miserable. Michael arrives and discusses Diane's case with Victor. Abby listens as Michael says poison sumac was around Diane's neck, and a key was in her mouth. Abby makes an excuse and leaves.
Victoria is at the bridge in the park when Phyllis comes upon her. They are eyeballing each other when Deacon surprises them. Victoria leaves to call 'pest control', and Phyllis follows. Deacon says, "Ah, Diane. So much for teaching Genoa City a lesson." Phyllis walks back to relieve Daniel. After she's alone with Lucy, Deacon reappears and taunts, "I know what you did."
Abby meets Victoria on the coffeehouse patio. In a panic, she says the key was in Diane's throat - the cops will find out what it's for!
An officer approaches Ronan's desk and tells him Victoria, Phyllis, and Deacon were all seen at the crime scene. Ronan muses about the key - whatever it opens might have been a motive for murder.
