The Young and the Restless - DAILY UPDATES

At the coffeehouse, Michael, Gloria and Kevin prepare for Gloria's court hearing, which falls on what would've been Gloria and John's anniversary. As Gloria thinks back to their wedding day, the ghost of John stands over her. Gloria comments that it feels as though John is with her.

Just as Jack tells Ashley that Gloria will have no choice but to give up the Abbott name, John's ghost appears and says, "I wouldn't be too sure, Jackie." After Ashley leaves, Jack has a conversation with his father. John tells him that he doesn't recognize the man Jack's become.

At Indigo, Neil and Dru share coffee with Victoria and Adrian as they make preparations for the benefit, which will be held there.

In the Newman break room, Sharon asks Brad if he's heard from the police. Brad tells Sharon not to worry about him, then goes on to ask if Jack questioned her about Rebecca. Sharon says he did, but assures Brad that she'll keep quite about Brad and Rebecca's past. Victor enters the room, says that the sooner they find Carmen's killer, the sooner they can get back to their normal lives.

Victor runs into Phyllis and they talk about her late pregnancy. Nick shows up, and Phyllis goes to finish up some work before her doctor's appointment. Victor and Nick go into Victor's office where he tells Nick about Jack and Brad's fingerprints being found on the duct tape.

In the courtroom, Ashley and Jack rant about their father's past with woman. When Gloria, Michael and Kevin come through the door, Jack accuses her of stealing his father's name. Gloria makes a remark that she's glad John isn't there to see what a horrible man he's turned out to be. From the back row, John's ghost says, "Wanna bet?"

The judge starts the proceedings by asking Michael if Gloria goes by John Abbott and Michael replies that she does. Although unheard, John shouts that Gloria is his wife! Michael calls Kevin to the stand… Kevin states how much John loved his mother and thought of her as his wife. John comments to Jack that Kevin is an example of a good, loyal son. Next, despite Jack's lawyer's objection, Michael calls himself to the stand and tells the judge that he believes John Abbott considered Gloria to be his wife. John nods and says, "Gloria was my wife."

When Gloria is called to the stand, Michael shows the judge examples of how she was connected to John: business cards, bank statements… When asked why she wants to remain Mrs. John Abbott, Gloria states that John was the only man who ever loved her and she wants his name because she adored John. Gloria looks to the judge and begs her not to take John's name away saying that it's all she has left of him.

Ashley is called to the stand and is questioned by her lawyer as to why she and Jack had the restraining order on Gloria. They express their fear that Gloria would embarrass their family and the Abbott name. When Jack is called to the stand, he makes a remark that Gloria using John's name is close to identity theft! John's ghost calls out to him, "How dare you!" Michael asks Jack if he ever heard John refer to Gloria as his wife, and John begs for Jack to be honest! Jack makes an outburst and says, "Stop talking, no one else can hear you!" Michael repeats the question, and Jack is forced to admit that John called Gloria his wife. However, Jack goes further to say that subconsciously, his father did not want to be married to Gloria!

The judge returns with her verdict and grants Gloria the right to keep and use the Abbott name! While Gloria doesn't gloat, she tells Jack that being able to keep John's name is the best anniversary gift she could receive. John says with a smile, "Your welcome sweetheart."

As Colleen and Lily talk it up about Adrian, Amber barges through the door of the Boutique and boosts with joy about her date with Adrian irritating Colleen! Just as Colleen picks out a dress for the benefit, Ambers says that she bought the same dress to attend the benefit with Adrian! Amber continues to make cracks to irritate Colleen. When Colleen leaves, Amber asks Lily what her problem is and Lily tells Amber that Colleen isn't the one with the problem.

When Victor shows up at Indigo, Victoria introduces him to Adrian, and Adrian thanks Victor for allowing them to show the Newman art collection. Victor goes to Dru and Neil and commends them for putting on such a great event when their lives are in such turmoil. He goes on to ask Dru and Neil if they know of anyone else in town that Carmen was involved in, and Neil mentions the man from Carmen's past who she had an affair with.

In his office, Brad shares his worries with Sharon and says that he's afraid that Michael won't stop digging into his past. Sharon suggests that Brad should steer Michael in another direction… Carmen's past!

Victor states to JT that it's strange that Brad isn't at the benefit and that it's a shame Brad got caught up in the Carmen Mesta murder. Victor asks JT to give him the file containing the background check of Brad's past!

When Colleen arrives at Indigo, she makes a statement to Adrian that she had talked to his girlfriend, Amber! In so many words, Adrian calls Colleen a child!

Nick and Phyllis go to the doctor to learn that the baby is breached. The doctor says that because of the risks of natural delivery, a Cesarean section is a better option for her. However, the doctor says they may be able to perform a procedure to manually turn the baby around.

Nick asks the doctor for some time alone, and they go over their options. When the doctor comes back in, Nick and Phyllis tell him they're going to go through with the C-section. The doctor gets Phyllis ready to deliver…
