William issues a warrant to search for evidence at Newman, Victor informs Michael that Jack owns Jabot, Korbel invites Amber to attend the museum gala, Paul tells Devon & Neil that he's off the case and Victor advises Jack to get a lawyer...
At Newman, William informs everyone that he's there to do a search for new evidence. Everyone is in an uproar! Victor shows up and he and Will go into his office. Will explains why he needs to search for further evidence by saying that Carmen may have been murder at Newman. Instead of making the DA get a warrant, Victor says that as long as they don't harass his employees, William and his team have his permission to search the premises! Victor signs the consent form.
Dru goes into the break room to find out from Neil and Lily that Paul has dropped Devon's case. Neil fills her in that Devon's prints were found on the tape and Dru begins to worry once again for her family as she frantically tries to locate Devon.
Michael and Paul are at the coffeehouse when Paul gets a text message that the DA is searching Newman for evidence. Suddenly, Michael gets a call from Neil with the same info. However, when he turns back to Paul, Paul isn't there…
When JT arrives home, he tells Colleen how sorry he is and asks if they can agree to disagree. She says that they can try. JT starts to talk about her art history class and asks if the professor behaved himself. Colleen gets nervous, but blows it off.
At the Boutique, Adrian allows Amber to help him make a purchase for a friend. When Amber asks him where he's taking her tonight, Adrian appears to have forgotten about their date. While they decide to keep their date low-key for the evening, Adrian goes on to ask Amber if she'd like to join him for the museum benefit.
When Michael runs into Paul at Newman, he says, "Why am I not surprise?" Michael goes to Neil and Dru.
When Brad tries to enter his office, Detective Sullivan tells him to wait outside. In the hallway, the Detective announces that they have permission to search the premises and instructs everyone to follow an officer into Victor's office to wait. The DA explains that after the search is over, they will be free to leave. Dru, Neil, Michael, Paul, Brad, Jack and Victoria sit with Victor as they wait.
Colleen gets a call from Lily saying that The DA is conducting a search at Newman. Colleen relays the news to JT. After Colleen hangs up, JT comments that Adrian needs to cut her some slack because she's been working too hard. Colleen takes this as JT coming down on Adrian, so JT changes the subject by wondering if the DA found any evidence at Newman. Colleen once again, lays into JT and questions why he and Paul dropped the case!
Just as he comes out of the elevator, Devon is instructed by the DA to follow an officer to Victor's office. Once in there, Neil and Michael inform Devon that his prints, among others, were found on the tape. While Devon looks at the other prints found as good news, Michael warns him that the DA is gunning for him.
When Paul tells Brad that the DA's focus hasn't been switched from Devon, Brad says, "It isn't Bardwell that I'm worried about."
Devon goes to Paul and asks if he quit the case because he thinks he's guilty. He assures Paul that he did not kill Carmen! Paul tells Devon that Michael will find someone else. Devon accuses Paul of siding with Newman because they pay him the big bucks!
Colleen calls Adrian about a problem with one of their art connections, saying that the artist is pulling his sculptor. She offers to come right over and meet with him to work out some of the details, but Adrian tells her that they shouldn't be meeting at night anymore! When Colleen hangs up, JT makes a crack, "Looks like you're off the hook for work tonight!"
The DA comes into Victor's office and tells everyone that they're almost done with the search and allows them to go about their business.
Victor pulls Michael into the break room to talk about the case. When Michael tells Victor that both Jack and Brad has reason to be concerned, seeing as their prints were found on the tape, Victor blurts out, "Jack Abbott owns Jabot…" Michael tells Victor that this news can help them to bring Jack down! Victor tells Michael that now is not the time. He goes on to explain the ramifications of blowing Jack out of the water now and says that he needs to get NVP back first! Victor wants to handle Jack with charm and to use Jack's own charm against him!
In Jack's office, Jack and Brad ague about their prints being found on the tape. While bickering, Michael comes up behind Jack says and asks "What's that smell, Jack? Justice being served…" Michael leaves…
Victoria gets a call from Adrian saying that their main artist pulled his sculptor from the benefit. He asks Victoria if they can showcase something from the Newman collection.
Lily calls Colleen and tells her that Adrian is taking Amber to the benefit. Of course, Colleen gets jealous! After she hangs up, JT asks if she wants to watch a movie, but Colleen says she has something to take care of and leaves…
Devon goes up to Will and tells him that he had nothing to do with killing Carmen. However, Will informs Devon that he cannot talk about the case.
Detective Sullivan sees Paul in the Newman hallway. When asked why he's there, Paul says, "Maybe I'm here to see you." The detective excuses herself with a smile…
Brad gets word that he still cannot go into his office and becomes irritated at the length of time the DA is spending in there.
Michael is furious that Paul is still roaming the Newman halls. Paul tells Michael that he needs to start focusing on the other possibilities besides Brad's involvement in Carmen's murder.
Colleen goes to Newman to talk to Victoria about the benefit. Brad isn't very happy when he hears about the book that Adrian gave her and Victoria informs Colleen that that particular book couldn't have been hard for the professor to find.
Adrian sits at his desk and stares at the pictures he drew of Colleen…
Victor graciously tells Devon that he believes in him and hopes that he can put this terrible mess behind him soon.
When Jack hears that his office is still being searched, Victor suggests that he and Jack leave. Jack agrees, then nervously looks at the DA and the detective.
Devon goes over ideas with Dru and Neil for a thesis he has to write for college, trying to take everyone's minds off the 'here and now.' Suddenly, the DA comes in and says that they're done searching that particular floor. Devon leaves to finish delivering his mail. Dru throws herself into Neil's arms...
The detective informs Will that no new evidence was collected on that floor. The DA instructs her to hit the next floor…
At the club, Victor asks Jack who he thinks killed Carmen. Jack laughs if off as a game of 'Guess Who' then goes on to say that maybe Brad killed Carmen. Victor questions Jack as to why Jack's prints were on the tape and says that he should think about getting a lawyer.
JT gets a call from Paul saying that Brad better be telling the truth about not being involved in Carmen's murder!
At the coffeehouse, Victoria runs into JT and asks him what he thought of the book that Adrian gave to Colleen. JT says he didn't know about any book, but becomes suspicious when he hears that the book revolves around the Grugeon collection!
Amber arrives at the college where Adrian suggests that they go somewhere intimate! Surprise, surprise… Colleen is standing in the hallway listening… She enters the room, hands Adrian the information from Victoria. Amber comments that Colleen was so nice to go out of her way for Adrian seeing as she has such a hot boyfriend at home!
Michael explains to Dru and Neil that if the DA finds anything connected to Carmen's murder he'll let them know.
Detective Sullivan tells the DA that an earring was found in the parking garage matching the one that Carmen was wearing when she was murdered!
Brad panics to Paul and tells him that they better make sure that Michael doesn't dig any further!
