The Young and the Restless star Adrienne Frantz (Amber Moore)!
From the moment I picked up the phone and reached Adrienne on her cell, I couldn't have been happier to hear what a wonderful and gracious person she was! So here you go, fans, sit back and enjoy a day in the life with Adrienne Frantz as we touched base on her character and her music career!
Amy: How is the character of Amber on Y&R different from Amber on B&B?
Adrienne: "Amber is the same. She's just reverting back to her old ways. She's no longer under the thumb of the rich Forrester's and has always had that rebellious streak."
Amy: The chemistry between Amber and Cane is amazing. During an interview between our Editor-In-Chief, Christine Fix, and Daniel Goddard (Cane), Daniel gave the fans his take on Amber scamming Cane and explained, "He doesn't know it is that simple." Can you give the fans a little insight from Amber's point of view? Does Amber really love him - rich or poor - or are her motives still the same as they were from day one?
Adrienne: "Amber does love Cane. It the beginning, it was more about the money and trying to con him. However, now she's trying to hide her past to keep him. She truly does want a life with him - truly cares about him."
Amy: The whole adult website storyline has fans in an uproar…
Adrienne: "Oh, I know!"
Amy: Some fans aren't so convinced that it's an addiction. What's your opinion on the subject?
Adrienne: "I, myself, have never had this addiction and have never gone online to look at porn… I think a lot of it boils down to the thrill of not getting caught - doing something you're not supposed to."
* Now, fans, I know it is easy to sometimes think that the actors or actresses portray a lot of the same traits as their characters. However, while Adrienne did an awesome job to convince us that Amber is definitely comfortable and 'at home' with her "Strangers By Night' page, I think you'll be surprised to hear Adrienne's answer to my next question…
Amy: Did you find it difficult to film your Strangers By Night scenes?
Adrienne: "Yes, it was very difficult. I'm nothing like Amber at all. I've never seen porn - not even a little. My family was constantly saying, "What are you doing!" But as an actress, I played the role as I would any other time and gave it my best."
Amy: Y&R is one of the few daytime dramas that have taken the extra step to bring awareness to controversial social issues. Is the show hoping to shed some light on the public on the harsh realities of Internet adult website addiction?
Adrienne: "In a way, yes."
Amy: What would you say to try to win over fans who haven't taken to Amber's promiscuous character?
Adrienne: "I'd want them to know that I am not Amber. I'd have to say, as an actress, if anyone actually thinks I'm Amber then it makes me happy to know that I'm giving the character my all and being very convincing."

Adrienne: "It's such an amazing feeling to finally have released the CD. It personally makes you feel so good to see all those years of hard work come full circle and to finally share my music with the world. The CD is doing well and in the next couple of weeks, I'll have my first single released on the radio."
As one of Adrienne's biggest fans, I couldn't help but ask…
Amy: Do you know which single will hit the airwaves first? Will it be your song 'Halfway,' which is my favorite off of the CD?
Laughing, Adrienne shares…
Adrienne: "Honestly, that's not my decision. They won't tell me."
Having listened to Adrienne's CD, I was completely drawn into her single "Halfway" and just had to ask…
Amy: Is there a special meaning behind the song?
Giving us a peek inside the words behind the song, Adrienne explains,
Adrienne: "Halfway is about being involved in a relationship where the other person doesn't support you or what you're doing - even though you were there to support them. The song screams, "Stand up and look at me, I've made it halfway there even without you there to hold me up!" It's a very empowering song."
Amy: When do you plan to start touring and which cities will you hit first?
Adrienne: "We're planning a summer tour, which will start overseas in Australia, Belgium and Italy then I'll make my way back to The States. Who knows, before that - or along the way - I may do a surprise appearance for the fans."
Adrienne even went so far as to tell me to let her know if she'll be appearing at a city near me…
Adrienne: "Drop me a line and I'll hook you up with some free tickets and passes!"
Amy: As our interview comes to a close, is there anything you'd like to tell your fans?
Adrienne: "I'm glad they're enjoying Y&R and I want to thank them all for their continued support. Also, fans can look forward to my upcoming film Hack, which is set to be released this coming Halloween!"
