    Too far gone? (CBS)
Genoa City for the week of March 31 - April 4:

Genoa City continued to be humdrum this week with a few exceptions, particularly the Jill/Jack stuff and the Stitch/Victoria romp, which, frankly, was like a lifebuoy in terms of bumping things up a notch. Discouragingly, an increasing proportion of each episode is comprised of filler-quality material. Some of the conversations are so mundane that viewers just fast-forward through them. The storylines, the couples, the dialogue, have all become way too 'safe'. Viewers want to be laughing, crying, gasping, and shouting at the TV set when they watch. Heck, I still recall when that would happen all in the space of a single episode. Thoughts:

    I'd rather be working.
Chloe made it clear to Kevin before they got married how she felt and he still insisted on going through with it. So why is he acting surprised and hurt by her lack of feeling now? Listening to Kevin complain about this is not at all interesting.

    On edge.
The Chloe/Chelsea friendship has been more contentious than most from the start, so it's tougher than ever at this point to really root for a reconciliation; too much has happened. Should Chloe and Chelsea repair their relationship? Let know by voting in our Y&R Poll: Should Chloe and Chelsea make up?

    500% sure.
It was hard to believe that Abby Newman would be satisfied with an impromptu proposal in a bar with no engagement ring to be seen. That said, it seemed sweet and genuine on Tyler's part. The problem is that an engagement should feel exhilarating for viewers, but it didn't because the couple is so bland. I would much rather have seen Tyler butting heads with Victor than giving flowery speeches in his office. Bleh...give him back his mojo.

    Stop the charade.
The Cassie lookalike, who has clearly become a bit of a loose cannon, is arguably the most compelling element in the 'Sharon's Secret' storyline at this point. Sharon's amnesia is just dragging things out longer.

Lily seducing Cane in the office to persuade him of the benefits of staying at the Club was interesting in that it wasn't necessarily her usual way of addressing issues with him in the past.

    Great girl.
So Neil trumpeting about Hilary's virtues will convince Devon to pursue her just in time for Neil to bed her? Possibly. As for the Real Models of Genoa City...that's shaping up to be a snipefest.

    Gave it up.
Oh my...Courtney looked like a teenager dressed up for Halloween in her cop uniform. The scenes with her coming clean with Summer were not too bad, but poor Noah's romance, and his life in fact, is really just kind of lame. So dull.

    Whew! (CBS)
    Ward's information.
It looked like Leslie was in a very awkward position knowing whatever it is that Ian Ward told her. Speculation is that he knows he's not able to have children, so couldn't be Dylan's father. Perhaps this is what he told her? Summer's visit didn't seem to affect him much.

    Making pie.
Avery and Dylan and the cooking website...sweet, but why scene after scene of this 'filler' that really doesn't make viewers feel anything and doesn't drive story? Meh.

Cute scenes with Reed, Nikki, and Victor playing chess. Especially Nikki pointing out that the queen is more powerful than the king. Hehe.

    Human remains.
I want to believe that Adam is totally putting one over on Victor, but it's tough.

    Reliving the pain.
Well, Michael sure stepped in it repeatedly at the park with Lauren as she told him she could be pregnant. Funny. Here's hoping this is an 'oops it's really menopause' storyline as the idea of Lauren and Michael being relegated to domestic diaper duty isn't appealing.

    New suit.
NuOldBilly showed up at Jabot looking to be hired after talking to Jill. Though he appeared more 'intern' than 'executive', it's good that they're moving him in a new direction because most are still not feeling him in the Victoria/Stitch/Kelly scenario. As for Jack making a dinner date with Kelly, her scenes with Jill increased her appeal, and led to an awesome scene with Jack and Jill reliving their own transgressions. Loved that. Anyway, it's fun how Jack is so often drawn to controversial women. Puts that twinkle in his eye...

    Designated driver.
Hot! Stitch and Victoria finally acted on their building sexual tension and what's more, the romp only upped the chemistry quotient between them as Victoria admitted she had no regrets, and Stitch couldn't stay away. The stuff of racing pulses. Of course the hook-up wasn't too naughty, as the separation agreement was safely signed, but we'll take it. Nikki was pretty indignant when she saw Vikki with Stitch, but was less so after she heard about Billy being with Kelly in the park. Not sure why Nikki wasn't more upset about Billy screwing around on Victoria?

CBS should go ahead and cut the show to 30 minutes.

Another total snooze fest. My Aunt is 79 yr.s old and doesn't read spoilers and she can predict what is going to happen on this show. Anyway thanks for sitting through the entire hour of watching with out FF or falling asleep so you can write the blog and the updates.

As a 30 year watcher it is beyond distressing to see what this show has become..... full of some of the most boring characters and story lines and in some cases actors....ever. It seems the writers must have a competition going to see how many ways they can write the same scene over and over again. They obviously have budget issues on the show as can be seen in the number of sets that have been how about eliminate some of the useless characters and save salary bucks that could be put into production values......first to be gone should be Abbey and Tyler....boring boring boring......Noah and his cop girl friend...ditto.......these writers need to go back and watch episodes from the past to see what a great show this used to rated soap, yes, but only because we are addicted to the thing, not because we enjoy it....thank you fast forward!.....but there is a limit to being bored and I'm about ready to break this addiction and move on.

Candace, I love your calls on Kevin and Chloe! I totally agree, him acting all butt hurt because Chloe isn't all goo-goo eyed in love with him is absurd considering he knew where she stood before they wed. Of course his reaction does ring true to the obsessive character trait that Kevin has. Of course all it does is make me look forward to Chloe leaving all the more.

As far as Chloe and Chelsea's friendship...yeah too much happened at this point to repair the friendship. I mean Chloe thinking Adam killed her daughter was enough to end it but then she had to go kidnap Chelsea's kid.

Great Rant ITA with y'all if they want to save money get rid of the dead weight on this show. They also need also need to give the boot to JFP/writers aka soap killers. I'd like to add a few to the list. I agree with the ones already mentioned, but they can also add Hilary, Esmeralda, Devon, Cane, Lily, Leslie, Kelly....that's all I can think of right now. IMO they need to recast Adam, Phyllis, Abby, I'm still on the fence about Billy well this would be a start moving in the right direction.

Hey Candace, I know you are reading the comments because you have practically quoted me on the Tyler/Victor thing and Tyler losing his mojo as well as my comments on the filler scenes that are all but unnecessary. But, are you really watching the same soap as we are. If you think that romp in the back seat of the car with Victoria and Stitch was HOT, I have no words other than I don't think you really watched it.

I agree with you Candice & most of the comments. Billy & Victoria are over with no chance of reconciliation. He is still immature. Who cares about Abby & Tyler's engagement? No one as far as I can see so why don't they eliminate them. This would be the time for a car crash. The Adam s/l is interesting if they don't drag it on too long. I'm not sure anyone can replace old Adam.

Thanks for reading and commenting everyone!

rukiddingme62 - didn't read your comments this week, but so many agree. Tyler lost his mojo a long time ago; it's a shame. As for Stitch and Victoria in the car - it was hot that they acted on their attraction. As for the scene itself we didn't get to see much of anything!
