Throwback Thursday Y&R Poll: Neil And Victoria's Engagement.

    Thursday, March 27 2014

    Outside forces.

In this week's "The Young And The Restless" Throwback Thursday takes readers back to the late 1990s when Victoria Newman and Neil Winters called off their engagement…

Victoria is currently facing whether or not to work to make things right between her and Billy. Years ago, a tragedy made it pretty much impossible for her (then played by Heather Tom) to go through with marrying another man. Victoria found her life at a standstill while married to Cole Howard and took a trip to sort things out. The distance between him and Victoria grew and Cole turned to Ashley Abbott when business took Victoria out of town again. When Victoria returned and witnessed Cole and Ashley kissing she moved out.

Victoria became pregnant and still loved Cole but kept the pregnancy to herself, as Cole wanted to marry Ashley. Victoria confided her pregnancy to her good friend Neil Winters. Neil suggested they pass her child off as his but Cole learned about the pregnancy and believed he was the father. Victoria eventually admitted he was but accepted Neil's proposal since Cole still planned to marry Ashley. However, Cole and Victoria's daughter Eve died soon after birth, and she and Neil decided to end their engagement.

Do you remember what led to Eve's death? Vote in our "Y&R" poll below.
