    Wednesday, April 16 2014

    Recast.

    Updated April 16:

Check out this behind-the-scenes video clip of Cady McClain taking on the role of Genoa City's Kelly. Her first scenes air today, Wednesday April 16.

    Updated March 3:

Cynthia Watros will last been seen as Kelly on April 15. Cady McClain, who begins taping on March 26, will first air on April 16.

    Original article February 26:

Genoa City's new Kelly Andrews will be played by none other than former "All My Children" star, Cady McClain (ex-Dixie). "The Young and the Restless" was forced to recast the role when Cynthia Watros’ new series Finding Carter got picked up by MTV. Watros will travel to the east coast to appear on the series.

Watros' last day on the "Y&R" set will be March 14 and McClain will first be seen later in the Spring. Watch Soaps.com for updates. CBS daytime's Angelica McDaniel confirmed the recast on Twitter:

Cady McClain kicked off her daytime career playing Dixie Cooney on "All My Children," a role she held off and on from 1989 - 2013. She also played Rosanna Cabot on "As The World Turns" from 2003 - 2010. McClain's latest project has been a self-help book, Murdering My Youth, which will be released on Friday March 7.

So glad to hear Cady will be on Y&R!!A real beauty, and so good on AMC and ATWT!!GREAT!!

She looks a little older than the first Kelly character- and less natural....The chemistry has to be believeable, and if there is an older replacement, it kind of makes the whole storyline unbelieveable.
Sorry to see the change, but if she gets a better role, all the best.

Sad that the new Billy- even though he was the original- doesn't have the charisma of the old one. No chemisty with the Victoria character. Guess they won' be recasting the old Victoria . . . !lol

PLEASE TAKE THAT BORING Leslie off the show!!!! She is the worst actress that has been on this show!!! What the writers see in her is beyond me. Her storyline is laughable and Neil is about the same. The only people in that family worth watching is Neil's son, but he is showing signs of yawn scenes! What is it with Leslie and that not wanting to be married thing??? Neil better RUN! She is

Neil and Leslie haven't been together that long. He is just pushing marriage to hard. I don't care if they take her off the show, both of them are becoming boring.

This really surprises me. Billy with his baby face and youth will not be a good match with Cady in my opinion. I have watched Dixie for ever it seems. I believe the age difference may cause a problem.

Cady Maclean might be a wonderful actress, but she is way too old for the part of Kelly. She's old enough to play Billy's mother for pete sake.

The Young & The Restless made a good choice in picking Cady that's for sure.

I believe casting Cady would be believable if Billy Miller was still Billy. His charismatic character will never be pulled off by the "Little Thom" He is putting in a strong effort but just doesn't have chemistry with Victoria. The new "look" Y & R has given Victoria doesn't take off the obvious clash of age.
Congrates to Cynthia on her new venture, what a loss for Y & R.
As for the Leslie/Neil relationship??? I agree she needs to go. She brings nothing to the story line any more and has made Neil become a real bore! Neil needs to move on!
The loss of Billy Miller and the absence of Phyllis Newman makes the hour predictable, not a Y & R tradition.

I got an idea that the reason a new Kelly is being cast is because Jack will have an interest in her.
I think Neil need to stop with the married thing with Leslie and move to some other subject, maybe another women who appears interested in Neil.

I watched Cynthia portray Annie for years on GL and Cady portray Dixie on AMC, both great actors, however I think Cady is going to blow the viewers out of the water she is wonderful and makes up for the disappointment in losing Billy and Adam, I think that they both look too old for the new Billy, however Cady will be an awesome partner for Jack, even Victoria looks too old for the new Billy. Lets hope Y&R can keep Cady around for years to come.
