In this week's "The Young And The Restless" Throwback Thursday Soaps.com takes readers back to 1994 when Phyllis Romalotti tried to run down Paul Williams and Christine Blair…
After weeks of posting back and forth with a stranger on a message board, Billy is going to connect the dots about Adam's involvement in Delia's hit and run. Years ago, Christine put the pieces together to her own hit and run as well. Danny, her ex-husband, had married Phyllis, who'd trapped him with an unplanned pregnancy. Christine had been determined to dig up information on her nemesis in order to free Danny from 'doing right by Phyllis' and his unborn child.
Christine uncovered various crimes from her past, and Danny finally ended his marriage to Phyllis. Truly believing Danny would love her again if Christine had been removed from the equation, Phyllis got in a car and ran down Paul and Christine then raced off without being identified. Paul had jumped in front of Christine to save her, which left Phyllis unsuccessful in ridding Genoa City of 'The Bug'. It wasn't until years later when Christine came across some damning evidence and revealed that Phyllis had been the hit and run driver. Though Christine brought the case in front of a judge and Phyllis had been arrested for attempted murder, a new judge dropped the charges.
Do you remember how Christine realized Phyllis had been driving the car? Vote in our "Y&R" poll below.
