    Y&R's Hartley Sawyer To Exit.

    Monday, December 16 2013

    (Daniel Tanner/Wenn.com)
    Moving on.

Actor Hartley Sawyer, who took over as Kyle Abbott from Blake Hood back in March of this year, is leaving the role. A spokesperson for "The Young And The Restless" confirmed to Soap Opera Digest, "Hartley is wrapping up but will be airing for several weeks into the new year." There was no explanation provided for Sawyer's departure.

Sawyer has been cast in an upcoming superhero comedy web series, "Caper," which is set to premiere on the Geek & Sundry YouTube channel sometime in early 2014.

Soaps.com will provide updates on Hartley Sawyer's final airdate in Genoa City, and whether the role will be recast as that information becomes available.

Maybe he didn't like having to cut his hair? LOL

Good luck to this fine actor; sorry but I could not grasp him as Jack's son even though his acting was good.

I didn't care for him anyway. Loved the old Kyle...

I didn't "get him" as Jack's son until I saw his resemblance to Diane's facial features. He and that actress have the same jaw and mouth, therefore, yes, he just took after his Mother.. I'm not liking the haircut though.

Wish him good luck in his new endeavor....

I'm sorry to see him go He's my favorite guy on Y & R. I think he's good looking, loved his long hair (it looked so good on him & he wore it well!) & I also enjoy watching his scenes. It'll be sad seein him go. I did like the 1st Kyle but I like this 2nd Kyle aka Hartley Sawyer even better!

I liked the 1st Kyle better but I wish him all the best. I wonder if they told him he was fired before or after they made him cut his hair. I didn't like his long hair (I don't like his new hair cut either) but if they made him cut his hair and then fired him that was bad.
