In this week's Throwback Thursday Soaps.com takes readers back to the 1990s when it was revealed that Danny Romalotti wasn't Daniel's biological father…
Chelsea is currently debating whether or not to come clean about the paternity of her baby and years ago another Genoa City resident's paternity was revealed after a health crisis, which led to a wedding. Daniel was born to Phyllis and Danny in 1994, but it wasn't until Daniel's life-threatening illness when Danny saw Phyllis in a new light. The two bonded so much so, he remarried her.
Paul and Christine reluctantly stood up for Danny and Phyllis, but they never stopped trying to convince Danny that Phyllis could have trapped him with Daniel. Danny didn't want to believe that Daniel wasn't his son but had a second blood test done to be absolutely sure. The results were devastating. Daniel wasn't Danny's biological son. Phyllis was forced to admit that Brian Hamilton, a man from her past, was Daniel's father.
Lucky for Danny his name was on Daniel's birth certificate, so he still retained rights to the boy. Brian actually came forward and helped Danny win custody of Daniel, due to the fact that Phyllis drugged Danny the night Daniel was supposedly conceived. Not to mention that she drugged Brain to obtain a blood sample for the first paternity test.
