    Jeanne's son Corbin posted tonight on his Facebook page the following;

    Tested today. My faith, my strength, my very beliefs. End of life sucks. It's a terrible thing. I don't know many cases of "grandma went off peacefully in her sleep." Instead it seems more often it's a battle, a fight to go beyond our expiration date. And maybe there's the problem, one we create. Pushing the limits. I asked God many times today, why. Why would you give us this incredible life and end it so miserably? Okay, yes, there is more beyond this life, and I do believe that, but why end "this" one so in opposition to the beauty you have created? I"m praying for enlightenment on this. I think I understand it, but it's not clear.

    Please know that I'm not saying my mother's life has ended, it hasn't, but no matter how you slice it, she is in the final stages, whether it lasts an hour, day, month or years. I had to say "goodbye" to her tonight "just in case" as I'm traveling tomorrow to Vancouver for Psych. I have prayed for her recovery - some sort of recovery - and earlier this week got a hint of it. But then I saw her tonight, connected once again to so many tubes and machines "healing her." And there is a difference - yes they are keeping her alive just as antibiotics would do for an infection - but they are more or less there to help in her short term recovery. Is she in a natural decent toward the end? Not sure. Is there a future? Not sure? And if so, what kind of future? Even less sure.

    So I said my goodbyes tonight, had a good release of emotion and then left the room, more uncertain thanI have ever been about so many things. I wish I could be more positive for you tonight, but I reserve the right in this space to be plain, simple and honest. I know it's only in that realm that I will find the answers I'm looking for right now. I love you mom. I'm giving it up to you and God to find peace in this world or the next.

    It seems like Ms. Cooper's life might very possibly be at the end. We all have had her as part of our families for over 40 years. We all need to keep Jeanne, Corbin and the entire family in our prayers through this all. SheKnows Soap, PLEASE keep us posted as you find out any late news on her health.
    Thank you!

    Corbin,
    I am so sorry that you and the family have to go through this loss. To have to make this kind of decision is so very hard. For we want to hold on to the last smile, last breath, every second we can get. However, it is not for her it is for us. In saying that, you have that right to be selfish for a little bit but then it is time to say goodbye. I have been there. I know how hard and how much it hurts. You will never be ready to say goodbye. I do not know if you read my note yesterday, I had touched on that we are not crying for her, but for ourselves, because we are the ones that are left behind without our love one. For everywhere you look there is a reminder. One day you will be able to appreciate these memories but for now, the hurt is just too deep. You just want to stop hurting.
    Thank you for being so selfless and sharing this moment with her fans for we too love her so deeply even though we have never met the real Jeanne Cooper. It does not make the hurt feel any less. We still feel after all these years that she has come into our living room that she is one of our best friends, Mom, Grandmother, sister or Aunt. Whatever void she has filled in one’s heart that she is or was a big part of our life as well. Thank you and the family for letting us share with you the moments of being scared, grieving and the uncertainty these past weeks. It takes special people to let her fans be part of it. We the fans cannot thank you all enough for this time together.

    Mrs. C we thank you for the laughs, the tears and the suspense you have given us over these years. Thank you for sharing your talents with all of us. Thank you for sharing your life with us in your wonderful book. You will always be in our hearts, and never forgotten, and we promise we will pass your legacy on in film and tape too many generations here after. To take a scene out of yesterday’s show, we will not say goodbye but only goodnight. Until we see you again. God Bless and may you have a great journey.

    With loving arms, Donna Poznanski
