    Eileen Davidson Fired!

    Thursday, November 16 2006

    Eileen Davidson (CBS)
The news is shocking Young and the Restless fans all over the world. Eileen Davidson (Ashley), a huge fan favorite, has been fired from the show!

Although upsetting, Eileen has expressed her concern over Ashley's lack of storyline, reportedly saying, "Ashley just didn't have a center anymore."

Eileen originated the role of Ashley Abbott back in 1982, and after 24 years (on and off) with
The Young and the Restless she will be moving on... Her last air date is scheduled for January 11, 2007.

Although I'm saddened by this, rumor has it that the talented actress may be on her way back to
Days of Our Lives to reprise her role as Susan.

Wherever her talent takes her, wants to wish Eileen the best! To learn more about Eileen and her career, you can visit Eileen

Oh no they didn't! I can't believe it. I am so disappointed about this. Ashley has been one of my favorites through. the years. I have been saying that they were phasing out the Abbott's and this pretty much says it all. I wish Eileen the best of luck.

i think the writers could have given eileen more roles. if they stop focusing on characters like gloria, kevin, michael, jana, and some others whit no talent and no place on the show they could have done more. i guess now they will faze jack out. no more abbotts. i am very disappointed. more things just keep happening on y&r that keeps me watching less and less. my interest in this soap is just about gone completely.

OH MY GOSH! I almost passed out when Amy emailed me about this today. I adore Eileen Davidson, who is an incredible INCREDIBLE actress! After the initial shock wore off, I realized that she's right. She hasn't had a good storyline in some time.. so this just makes me want her back over on Days ASAP!!! OH PLEEEEEASE bring her back to DOOL!!

    Thanks for the scoop, Amy!

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this on the home page! I've been watching Eileen since we both gradutated college! (her storyline when she entered Genoa City and my real life collided there for a little while.)
They have pretty much ruined her character, I must say. She seems pious, boring, lifeless and stuck in the lab lately. Ever since they had her lose Abby, I thought, "ashley wouldn't stand for that!"

Best of luck Eileen. Any news of a recast?

    Best of Luck Aileen!

When one door closes another always opens and it's always better!

I have lost most of my interest in the Y&R. The writer are not that good.

Can't understand why the would fire the new Lily and bring back the old........seeing that she was not a good fit to begin with.

But hey, ratings will tell the true picture. It always does.
