Throwback Thursday Y&R Poll: Sharon's Defense.

    Thursday, March 07 2013

    (Digital Creations/
Taking a stand to protect herself.

In this week's Throwback Thursday takes readers back to 2003 when Sharon Newman prevented Cameron Kirsten from attacking her again…

Sharon has befriended Dylan MacAvoy but years ago she should have been a bit more cautious around strange men. Sharon was stunned when Cameron first arrived in Genoa City as a software entrepreneur working with her husband Nick Newman. Viewers soon found out that Sharon had met Cameron months prior at a bar in Denver. In fact, they had had sex, and Cameron ended up beating Sharon badly.

Sharon had stayed quiet and never called police for fear Nick would find out about the affair. Cameron began threatening to reveal just that if Sharon didn't sleep with him one more time. On New Year's Eve Sharon met Cameron at a seedy motel but couldn't go through with sleeping with him again in exchange for his silence. Cameron refused to take no for an answer and attempted to rape Sharon, who stopped him in his tracks.
