In "The Young And The Restless" history, 1992, Victoria Newman fell in love with an older man, Ryan McNeil…
Nick has every right to worry about Summer's interest in Kyle, who is a bit older than her. Back in the early 1990s Victor Newman had that same worry with Victoria, who fell for an older man, Ryan. Victoria met and fell for Ryan while working in the mailroom at Newman Enterprises. The couple grew close, against Victor's wishes, and eventually eloped. The marriage didn't last long though, due to Victoria's bedroom issues and not being able to deal with the sexual side of the marriage. Ryan turned to Nina Webster, and he and Victoria were divorced.
Victoria went on to marry another older man, Cole Howard, but again turned her attentions to Ryan. They began sharing kisses at work and were caught by Nina, his current wife, who was also the object of Victoria's husband's affections. Victoria and Cole divorced, as did Nina and Ryan, which gave Victoria and Ryan a clean slate to start over. However, it was Ryan's ex-wife, Tricia Dennison, who proved to be the end of them for good.
Tricia was filled with a jealous rage when Ryan and Victoria made plans to remarry. Dressed in a wedding gown exactly like Victoria's, Tricia showed up at the wedding and demanded that Ryan marry her. When he refused, Tricia pulled out a gun, took aim and fired at Victoria. Ryan jumped in front of the bullet to protect her and died a few days later in Victoria's arms.
