    Angry. (CBS)
    Restless Rant
    Week of February 18 – 22:

The tension and drama on "Y&R" has been pretty solid in the wake of the snowstorm, and we even got to see a sex scene! Thoughts on the week:

    Chelsea’s world.
This character’s been a bit all over the place. She dumped Adam, but is now upset that he’s going about his life. So much so that she won’t tell him they’ve conceived a child. Whether he’s with her or not, he has a right to know, and I don’t think there’s any con she could pull that would convince him not to press for a paternity test when she pops out a baby nine months after they had sex by the fireplace. How do you think Chelsea should handle the situation? Let Soaps.com know by voting in our Y&R Chelsea’s Pregnancy poll.

    Anniversary.
Cane seems to have this increasing anxiety since Tyler’s been around Lily, but bringing up Daniel was weird – wouldn’t they have discussed that previously at some point? In any case, Lane had a very passionate anniversary - finally some love in the afternoon that consisted of more than going up the stairs together.

    Leave it at a kiss.
Will Lauren be revisiting the whole 'leave it at a kiss' thing with Carmine now that she's moved to the Club? It's a bit puzzling that she seems only vaguely concerned about Fen not taking responsibility for what he did to Jamie, or his ongoing disrespectful rants (which were occurring regularly even before the rooftop incident – brat!). Her unwillingness to work through things with Michael, who stuck it out through the doppelganger insanity, is also curious. Does she feel guilty about kissing Carmine, or is she keeping up the anger at Michael in order to justify having a fling? Hmm… By the way, hooray for Jamie for owning up to his mistakes and for Ronan becoming his guardian. Maybe they'll both come back one day!

    Personal assistant.
It was great to see Jill return this week…Adriana, not so much. It remains to be seen if Adriana will take advantage of Katherine or if she’s turning over a new leaf. Jill will be suspicious at every turn, which will cause issues with Katherine – love their sparring!

    In the past.
Avery’s kiss with Dylan sure didn’t seem like it was making her feel that what they had was in the past, but we’ll take her word for it. Her reunion with Nick was dead boring – even them saying 'I love you' for the first time was a snooze. If she was no longer attracted to Dylan why would she be so worried about him staying in town? Perhaps she’s lying to herself – time will tell.

    Smooch. (CBS)
    SuperMac.
In the meantime, Dylan will occupy himself repairing Sharon’s damage. Sharon seems to be doing well, but you wouldn’t know it by Noah and Nick always acting like she doesn’t have a brain in her head. In any case, the writing’s on the wall for Sharon and SuperMac, who insta-bonded with Faith and promised Noah there would be no shenanigans (really?). Nick will be insufferable over Dylan sniffing around, I’m sure of it. We already got a preview this week with his behavior over Summer hanging with Kyle. In that case Nick has the right idea - just no.

    She’s sick.
I enjoyed the scenes with Jack and Victor, Jack and Nikki, and Nikki and Victor this week over her MS – very emotional and true.

    Alex and Abby.
These two definitely have some chemistry – looking forward to seeing more of them. Just a thought – if they’re going to have people hanging around at The Underground drinking Noah’s high-octane cocktails, they maybe shouldn’t have him announce in the next scene that the roads are cleared and they can drive home now. Abby already mowed Tucker down while drinking and driving!

    Re-commitment.
The Vikki/Billy re-commitment scenes showed the side of this pairing that really works. Billy always having to apologize gets old though. It looks like Victoria is gearing up to become a corporate shark again now that Victor pushed her buttons by praising Adam. Here’s hoping there will be some unexpected twists as this power struggle plays out.

    Wheeler/Leslie/Tyler.
    Dragging…

Not the kind of dinner you want.
I get that Jack’s supposed to be charming Phyllis into getting together, but it’s more like groveling and is so unappealing. Jack shouldn’t be in that position with a woman, and Phyllis needs a very hot rebound man to help take her mind off Nick.

Billy and Victoria bore me. Billy Miller can do so much better storyline-wise than being her lapdog. As for her all she does is cry and whine. So tired of them it's not even funny.

I like Chelsea and Adam and I guess I can see why Chelsea would be wary of letting Adam know right away. Who wants to be an obligation? Hopefully there is some movement quick because it's a slow mover.

To be fair to Nick and Noah, they act like Sharon doesn't have a brain in her head because the majority of Sharon's actions goes to show she doesn't.

Like Tinkerbellz22, I like Chelsea and Adam together but with Sharon following Adam around like a lapdog and appearing everytime she goes to talk to Adam, I can understand the wariness. With that though, there's no point in trying to tell Adam the kid isn't his, he's not stupid and he won't take kindly to her trying to con him.

I always look forward to your rants, Candace. Lauren is a fool and Fen is a disrespectful little brat. It's not even believeable that Lauren would turn against Michael this way. Then Fen getting in Summer's face about telling her mother only goes to show what a brat he is. Chelsea was ready to tell Adam about the baby but then Sharon had to interup. She should have at least kept her distance while they were talking, but she's nothing if not pushy.

Why is Nick still trying to control Sharon? He always says it's because she's his chilren's mother. I don't think so. I also think Avery isn't over Dylan as much as she claims to be. It was a bad scene when Abby left to drive home after drinking, also unbelievable. I hope this is the last time Billy has to grovel at Vicky's feet. Enough! I want them together but its too too much! Avery & Nick just don't have much chemistry even when they declared their love.

This thing between Adam and Chelsea is dragging on way too long. Get a divorce already. Then Sharon and Adam can continue their hot passionate, deep love that is always burning inside of them. These two belong together.

If Lauren was so "concerned" with Fen's "hurt" feelings because his father didn't believe his lying azz when he really did tell the truth about not physically pushing Jamie off the roof. Then why would she just walk/move out on him without even telling him goodbye or take him with her? Oh never mind. I guess she wouldn't be able to jump Carmine's bones with a kid hanging around.

The baby con is making less sense as days go by. Adam is not stupid and is able to count up to nine. He knows she is not involed with anyone now, so unless she plans on saying she had revenge sex almost two months with a complete stranger, I don't see Adam not questioning the paternity.

oops meant "almost two months ago"

I dnot want Sharron back with Adam or anyone. She should just leave the show. Leslie Should just leave the show with her brother. Lets just get one with some good story lines.

Lauren Anger with Michael is an excuse for her to sleep with Carmine. Thats why she got that room by herself, left Fen and all to have a fling because she wont face what Fen did to Jamie. The bullying sl ended stupid with Jamie saying sorry and Fen, Summer and Lauren barely blinking an eye. Lauren will regret leaving her husband.

Victor and Nikki shared some great scenes hope his character changes a little because of this.

Also loved the Jamie and Paul Scenes

    Good Rant Candace:)
