horrible mistake y&r! keep tucker he can stir up so much trouble for victor & jack that'll make for some great some great tv better than the dry crap we've been getting the last 2 or 3 weeks

MAB broke the 40 year winning Y&R formula with Tucker. He should have drove the drama between Jill and Kay like the many before him, Rex, Phillip Chancellor 2, Brock, Phillip Chancellor 3, Nina, Larry, Derek, the original Tucker ...and so on.

The result- no Chancellor family. It's been dead for 3 years. MAB gave us an over the hill playboy boinking one woman after another, & poor Katherine was inserted in Victor's azz for the worst story ever, instead of the Chancellor family drama MILLIONs of viewers followed for decades. It's gone and I doubt it's ever coming back.

Since they aren't killing Tucker off they should re-cast William Russ or someone who really works with Jill in the role after some time passes if they ever write them an exit story. I hope after 40 years they at least give the Kay & Jill and the Chancellor family that. The Chancellor story should be about the Chancellors not written around "actors from other soaps" or "the favorite actor" of some bigwig in the regime.

I'm with french102 - Keep Tucker, get rid of Cane.

mollyandwally, Tucker hasn't "boinked" any more women than any other man on that show. Or more than any woman has "boinked" men on the show, for that matter. Jeepers. And who the heck is William Russ??

Posted by soapyr at Monday, January 07 2013 01:11 PM

Agreed KristenS, Tucker's no worse than others when it come to 'boinking'.

William Russ was the first Tucker, you know, the one that lasted only a month before they replaced him.

mollyandwally, Katherine has had her head up Victor's butt a lot longer than since Tucker's been around!!

That's rediculous. Why would they want to cast the role of Tucker with some older overweight man just so he would work with Jill? Don't understand why anyone would think that Tucker was meant to be all about Jill anyway. Nichols worked great with everyone on the show and had chemistry with every woman he was paired with. Losing him is a major loss for YR.

LCCH, I gotta agree. Russ was totally miscast in the role. His country bumpkin and 'good ole boy' manner did nothing to give Tucker a much needed edge. Stephen Nichols nailed the role! I can't believe Y&R is letting him slip through their fingers!

No surprise here. Strong actor, but the role was so mishandled that everyone could see this coming.

I like Tucker we need another billionaire in the City to shake Victor up. He can't have control over everything. Get another woman for him to sleep with, not Jill for goodness sake.
