Throwback Thursday Y&R Poll: Alone On New Year's.

    Thursday, December 27 2012

    (CBS)
Ringing in the New Year alone.

In this week's Throwback Thursday Soaps.com takes readers back to December 31, 2008 when one Genoa City resident rang in the New Year all alone…

There are only a few more days until 2013, and while many in town will be making plans for the upcoming festivities, a few years back one person was stuck all alone as the New Year approached.

It wasn't Phyllis or Nick, who ended up having dinner at the club - and not inviting Sharon to join them when it turned out there were no open tables for dinner. However, Phyllis did privately alert Brad to Sharon's loneliness, and he soon appeared and joined Sharon in her suite.

Kevin and Jana kept busy at Crimson Lights, while many gathered at Indigo for Neil and Karen's wedding. Needless to say, Olivia and Tyra weren't all that happy to hear the minister pronounce the couple husband and wife.

The biggest shocker that night had Gloria seeing a ghost in prison in the form of Katherine Chancellor, who everyone thought had died. While various residents were ringing in the New Year in different ways, one man was alone, listening to a clock chime down the seconds until 2009.
