    Meeting Tyler. (CBS)
    Restless Rant
    Week of December 10 – 14:

A pretty solid week. The stuff that is a bit boring and not really working continues to drag on, but there is conflict and drama aplenty for some of the core characters. Interesting newbies have arrived too! Check out the thoughts for this week:

    Navery and Supergirl.
Summer running to Avery’s place while upset about Chelsea wasn't stellar. The dialogue didn't seem realistic and frankly, it's less boring to watch Summer talk to Phyllis. Much of what happens at Avery’s place tends to have a whitewashed polite feel to it that doesn't quite ring true. It was actually a relief to see Avery snap at Summer in the storage locker and reveal a side other than the perfect fairytale aunt. Speaking of which, it’s also a tad unbelievable that Summer is blowing off spending time with boys to root through Avery’s boxes. As for Avery’s big confession about cheating, her concern that Nick would judge her was odd considering she knows he’s a serial cheater. That worry being the premise of her secrecy seemed off – perhaps there’s more to the story?

    Two-faced.
Yes, Fen is being two-faced with poor Jamie, who may will almost certainly endure more of his bullying if he ends up staying with Lauren and Michael. Oh, and Jamie kissed Summer. That surely won’t help matters when unbalanced Fen finds out. Yawn.

    Run away with me.
While I enjoyed Billy and Victoria’s romantic reconnection this week (there are times when they ‘click’ for me), I'm tired of watching Billy operate in his current mode. He’s grown past behaving like a loser, and no one wants to see him go back there, but it sometimes feels like he’s been biting his tongue and kissing butt since Victoria first saw him in his boxers on that fateful New Year’s Eve. I’d like to see a return to the bolder Billy Abbott rather than this sort of watered-down ‘Billy Newman’ guy he’s evolved into. It's not necessarily a comment on his relationship, but on the character - give him back his cojones! Oh, and give him back his Delia too – it’s not realistic that he never interacts with her and Chloe.

    Type A.
This business with Neil's kids swanking up Jabot is slightly out of hand. Jack’s going to go into cardiac arrest if he walks in there. Neil is allowing it because he’s in 'tool' mode; i.e. thinking with his you know, and trying to impress Leslie. Speaking of Leslie, her brother Tyler seems interesting and sexy – should be good for a shake up in Genoa City. By the way, where’s Cane been lately? Anyway, Neil better enjoy the ride while he can, since it appears Jack’s going to roll Jabot into Newman just in time for Victor to take it all. What was your first impression of Tyler? Blackmail tale. (CBS)
    Moving back.
Paul may be the nicest guy in town, but raise your hand if you wanted to smack him this week for being responsible for Christine moving back to Genoa City! On a positive note, it was kind of funny to see how giddy he was over her announcement. Kinda’ cute.

    The kiss and confession.
Adam’s feelings for Sharon have landed him back in a complicated and controversial place (both love triangle-wise and at work) – which is where he’s at his best and most entertaining. Chelsea telling Nikki and Victor that Sharon set the fire was beyond comprehension – she’s supposed to be far too shrewd not to have realized that she would implicate Adam too. Even worse is her melting down and blabbing everything to Chloe, thereby placing our formerly fabulous fashionista in utterly dire straits - still tethered to loose cannon Kevin, and now relegated to plotting against Sharon with Chelsea, who seems to have lost all of her conwoman skills. Imagine the possibilities if the desperate Chelsea had turned to the conniving Anita and Jeffery instead. Missed opportunity. As for Sharon, the storyline still doesn't have her in a better place - she's leaning on Nick again, and possibly planning to go on the run with Faith - but at least things are moving full steam ahead.

    Hypocrites in the penthouse.
If there’s anything more irritating that Nikki on her high horse and Victor in holier-than-thou mode on "Y&R," I don’t know what it is. Oh, I love them, but boy they sure live by some double standards. On the lighter side, when Victor starts intoning that he 'built this company from the ground up', you just have to laugh imagining the collective groan of viewers everywhere.

    Blackmail is so last year…
Love the way Adam just casually delivered that line… One-liners are my favorite, and so is the verbal sparring between Adam and Victor. Anyway, poor newcomer, Mason (who was tamer than I anticipated, but cute), had his initiation into Newman Enterprises this week by tangling with Jack over his doctor’s appointment, and then unwittingly getting caught in the crossfire between Victor and Adam, who suddenly seems to be in a precarious position. There’s no doubt Victor will come up with the proof he needs to skewer Sharon and Adam, and there’s no question Adam will do whatever it takes to protect Sharon – Victor found his Achilles heel. If Jack (aka, King of the World) wasn’t flying high 24/7, Adam might be able to go to him with this dilemma, but I'd say he’s on his own.

    Thanks Just Mary!

Reng, that's why it says 'raise your hand if you wanted to...' - there's no pressure to agree.

WHERE WAS FRIDAY'S SHOW? I UNDERSTAND THE NEWS AND CBS NOT AIRING FRIDAY'S SHOW, BUT WHAT'S WITH SOAP NET? WHY DID WE HAVE TO MISS FRIDAY'S SHOW?

I would love to see more Billy & Delia scenes.

Don't see the point of Chloe/Billy scenes unless it's just Chloe dropping off Delia. Chloe was horrible to Billy during the Lucy storyline. Horrible.

There really is no point to the character of Chloe anymore. Hasn't been since 2009.

Friday's show will now air on Monday.

I, too, am tired of Billy constantly kissing Victoria's butt. I realize it would be traumatizing to be kidnapped, but Billy keeps acting like a little puppy jumping through hoops to please its master. Very glad to see Vikki stand up to Victor and let him know she won't be used in order to get Newman back. Also very glad that she seems to be forgiving Billy - at least for now.
