Kate Linder Gives Back!

In New York City last month,
The Young and the Restless actress Kate Linder (Esther) took part in a very special event hosted by Former President Bill Clinton and Nobel Peace Prize winner Bobby Muller when she attended the premiere performance of esteemed Chilean writer Ariel Dorfman's play "Speak Truth to Power: Voices Beyond the Dark." The inspirational play was taken from Kerry Kennedy's book "Speak Truth to Power: Human Rights Defenders Who Are Changing Our World."

Speak Truth To Power, a division of the
Robert F. Kennedy Memorial, is a non-profit organization that seeks to engage the public in an ongoing series of issue-related programs, bringing human rights activists and their work into contact with such audiences. Directed by actor Terry Kinney (co-founder of the Steppenwolf Theater in Chicago with Gary Sinise and Jeff Perry), the performances have included such talents as Lorraine Bracco, Giancarlo Esposito, Matthew Modine, Robin Wright Penn, Gloria Reuben, Martin Sheen, Christian Slater, Sharon Stone and Sigourney Weaver.

In addition to supporting Speak Truth To Power, Kate stays active in other charities, such as Big Sisters of Los Angeles and Love is Feeding Everyone.
