In this week's Throwback Thursday Soaps.com takes readers back to December 18, 2006 when Summer Newman was born…
Summer may be giving her parents some trouble these days, and the way she was brought into the world consisted of much of the same drama. Back in 2006 Nick and Phyllis' affair, while he was married to Sharon, resulted in a pregnancy. Phyllis couldn't believe it, considering she'd been told she'd never conceive again. She was forced to admit to Nick that the baby could be Jack's as well. After a paternity test, Nick told Phyllis that he was her child's father. Jack was disappointed, as was Phyllis when Nick announced his plans to stay with Sharon and Noah.
Sharon found out about the pregnancy, which led to her and Nick's divorce - and Phyllis and Nick's elopement. Later, when Phyllis was heading to the hospital to have a caesarean, due to the baby's breech position, she ran into Jack, who ended up delivering Summer.
