In "The Young And The Restless" history, 1982, Victor Newman first laid eyes on Nikki Reed…
With Victor and Nikki currently making plans to restart their life together - once again - it's only appropriate that we take a look back at how they first met. Victor's longtime friend and confidant Colonel Douglas Austin took him to The Bayou and introduced him to Nikki Reed, who was a stripper at the club. Victor was taken by Nikki immediately and soon brought her back to his ranch.
He spoiled Nikki with many gifts while converting her into a proper lady through lessons of etiquette. Her days were filled with piano playing and her nights being entertained by Victor. Nikki craved to be in Victor's bed, and though he tried to hide his feelings the two made love one night. The next day, Victor announced their one night together was a mistake and introduced Nikki to Kevin Bancroft. Victor moved on to Lorie Brooks, who ended up leaving him at the altar.
Nikki married Kevin and found out she was pregnant with Victor's child. She kept quiet and let Kevin and his overbearing mother Alison believe Victoria was part of them. After Alison kidnapped Victoria Rick Daros became aware of her true parentage and told Victor, who found his daughter and returned her to Nikki. More drama ensued, but Victor ended up making Nikki his bride in 1984. The couple's divorce in 1988 was only the beginning of them walking away from each other - and reuniting many times thereafter.
