    Raw emotion. (
    Restless Rant
    Week of June 11 – 15:

    Monday - Epic Fail.
The story picked up from Friday at Gloworm with Nick telling Sharon she seriously wasn’t welcome at the wedding, which had little to no effect. Victor ambled over to leer at Sharon in the sexy dress and gave his approval, which, for the first time in my eyes, reduced him from a powerful magnate to a silly old codger. As for Sharon, I’m all for her being stronger, gutsier, and more interesting, however she’s always been an intrinsically kind and understanding person, so for her to force her way into her ex’s wedding for no apparent reason other than to be obnoxious and piss people off, kind of messes with the integrity of the character. With all of that said, Sharon being at the wedding made for some very entertaining scenes. Later, at the penthouse, Nick’s quiet pain as he saw Phyllis off to the hospital was truly heartrending. Back at Gloworm, Noah quietly took charge, Avery played auntie, and NuSummer whined in true teenager fashion. First impression – NuSummer is a cutie with attitude, but I wish she looked more like her mother. Over at the Club, Lauren surprised Michael with NuFenmore, who we still need to get to know. At the ranch, Abby stood up to Victor, and then dropped into the Abbott manse to let Jack know his good luck streak was still going strong and she would still invest.

    Tuesday - Missing.
Phyllis came home from the hospital, and told Nick about Daisy’s visit and Ricky’s tell-all tome. It continues to be fascinating to see Phyllis deal with coming up against people who are reminiscent of her former self. As you watch Daisy make constant missteps with Daniel, you realize just how like the ‘old Phyllis’ she really is. Over at the Club, it was notable that Heather addressed the issue of Michael's sinister past by telling Paul she thought it was a plus that he understands the dark side of human nature. True! Paul then learned that Tim Reid was missing, and Heather told Ricky in no uncertain terms to vacate her apartment immediately, and that his finding a place to go was not her problem. It was at this exact moment that NuHeather won me over. Meanwhile, Nick and Phyllis called the kids and Katherine over and got married. It was understated and meaningful, but Phyllis in pajamas? Also developing today was Cane and Lily’s rising mistrust of Genevieve, who is supposedly penniless, but putting herself up lavishly at the Club.

    Wednesday - Life Turns Around.
Today began with viewers finally getting a teeny (and I do mean teeny) glimpse into who Sarge is when he admitted it was a bad day for him, and Jack asked if it had to do with a woman. Sofia finished moving out of Neil’s place, so they shared an awkward, tense scene before he hightailed it over to Crimson Lights, where Super Harmony hangs out. Later, Neil campaigned for Devon to cut his mother some slack. He should cut her some slack, but not because Neil’s asking. Go ‘way Neil. Across town, Kevin agreed to do that illegal thing for Genevieve, which made him marginally more interesting again, until Chloe tattled to Cane and put an end to it. Adam and Chelsea did the kissy-face thing in their suite while studying – very cute, but nothing to write home about passion-wise.

    Catfight! (
At Tucker’s place, Ash finished moving out and returned her key. I love how Tucker seems so stunned by the whole situation – such an intriguing way to play it. At the Club, Genevieve had a run-in with a puffed-up Jack, who has everything he’s ever wanted, and wound up crying. It was good to see that kind of raw emotion from her. Over at the Abbott house, Ashley told Jack rather bluntly that he’d have to step down from Jabot unless he merged the companies. Uh oh!

    Thursday - Tea And Sympathy.
Cane and Lily’s confrontation with Genevieve was interesting – not only was she not particularly apologetic, but it came out that she hid the fact that Colin was free – it illustrates what Cane grew up dealing with – this odd, selfish, crookedness from both parents. Across town, Jack and Ashley really got into it over Jabot and Beauty of Nature and a family feud was established. Now this is good, and a fabulous illustration of why the core characters matter – viewers know Jack’s entire past with Jabot, and his totally frustrating tendency to become his own worst enemy. Whenever things go well for him, it’s never enough – always his downfall. What do you think of Jack and Ashley's clash? Let us know by voting in’s Y&R Abbott Family Feud poll. In other family news, Heather set Ricky straight once again, letting him know he was a squatter in her apartment, while Paul learned that Ricky had visited missing therapist, Tim Reid. At the penthouse, Daniel and Phyllis watched the footage of Daisy standing outside the door while Phyllis screamed for help. It really upped the tension to have them discover what Daisy did (or didn’t do as the case may be), but realize they’re powerless to prove it! Later, Michael and Phyllis had tea and talked. Phyllis should have stuck to sipping, as she remarked incriminatingly to the D.A. that she’d like to get rid of Daisy permanently. We all see where this is going… At Crimson Lights, Daniel became ‘suspect’ number two when Eden witnessed him threaten Daisy.

Friday - I Rode Him First.
When Nikki walked in with that horse and delivered her line to Sharon, it was just a delicious soap opera moment. Things got a little ridiculous from that point, but were still entertaining. The end all be all, however, was Victor later asking Michael to keep them in jail longer. How he must love them fighting over him! Also, it’s outrageous that he would ask Michael for a favor after treating him so appallingly – of course that never stopped The Mustache before. At the penthouse, Phyllis and Avery did some true sisterly bonding, and I really was drawn in. Loved it. It will be interesting to see if Avery supports Phyllis if she winds up in trouble with the law. Meanwhile, Ricky let himself into Heather’s apartment and bugged it – such a creeper – and then played Paul like a fiddle by telling him he’d left her a housewarming gift guaranteed to blow her away. It was strange that Heather didn’t seem to question Ricky letting himself in to leave the gift, but it was hilarious when she opened it and Paul burst in with the cops in full drama mode, shouting, "Don’t open it!" This was a clever move on Ricky’s part, because now everyone is going to start thinking Paul is paranoid. In other news, Kevin decided to be Daisy’s ‘Michael’. No words.

Thanks for the rant, good as always. I do agree with some of your takes.
Sharon was always a decent human being, maybe her and Nikki always fought but this new side to Sharon is just so unwelcome. To think she would do that to Nick is unbelievable. The way she spoke to Nikki about being a drunk and pole cat, well, kind of, not not kind of, unreally bad taste even for a low life. I would think Sharon would have a lot more class than that. I hate this new Sharon. It's like her and Adam changed personalities.
Victor definitely thinks he is the man, asking Michael for a favour after he fired him. If I was Michael I would have told him where to go and ask his new attorney for the favour. Unbelievable.
I wish they would update when Daisy and the gang are leaving, it should be interesting to see how that all plays out.
I am so glad Ashely put Jack in his place, he deserves it. I love Jack and glad to see him win (for now) but he is too smug. He always goes to Victor and smiles like a Jack*** and he knows it always come back to haunt him. It is nice to see someone bring him down a peg or two.
I want more Billy, without Victoria! LOL
    Good weekend everyone!

I love the stuff between Jack and Ashley, and Phyllis and Avery. Hate that Kevin is being dragged into Daisy's orbit, but he's doing it of his own volition. Imagine how Chloe will feel. He will end up losing everything and crying over his sociopathic sister. Ugh.

Didn't we just have a cat fight a week or so ago between Jill and Gen? Is this show becoming the new Dynasty?

I hate to tell everyone in Genoa City, but not coming to Phyllis' aid, while despicable, is not a legal crime. There is no law that states a bystander must help someone who is calling for help. Of course, if Daisy had thought about it, helping Phyllis would have put her in Phyllis and Nick's good graces whether they liked it or not. Phyllis, Nick AND Daniel would have had to be nice and thankful toward herm and begrudgingly accept her into the family. They would have owed her one.

WOW Sharon is such a sleeze. Her acting is pathetic and such a turn off. When she and Victor kiss HUCK. I fast forward. The so called figh scene between Niki n Sharon was such bad acting (Sharons) its not believable. Get rid of her, she is boring and has slept through the Abbotts n Newmans, who's next. Neal, his son, tucker or katherines husband. WATCH OUT Ms chancellor

Love that Michael is DA makes for some future juicy storylines .Dont you dare mess with michael n Lorins marriage. You already grew the son up overnight.

Phyllis is my girl, superb actress and I love her in Nick together. She and Danielle also have really good chemistry. Her n Michaels "best friend" relationships makes me cry. I would love to have a guy friend like Michael. I am glad he no longer works for "The mustache".
