Corbin Bernsen On Jeanne Cooper, The Young And The Restless Return.

    Friday, December 02 2011

    Corbin Bernsen (CBS)
    Father Todd.

Actor Corbin Bernsen (Father Todd Williams) recently took to Facebook to address fans regarding the health of his mother, Jeanne Cooper (Katherine Chancellor), and shared that "Y&R" has asked him to reprise his role for a couple of episodes as well. Corbin posted, "Many again are asking about my mom so I want to clear this up. No, she hasn't been on the show lately but nothing is wrong with her. That said, she is a bit older now and was working 5 days a week, late into the nights, early up in the morning and it took a toll. She is simply "readjusting" to her age and ability to be able to carry on with the crazy hectic schedule of doing a show that shoots daily - all year long. We all have to make "shifts" in our life as we move into new phases of what our minds and bodies are able to do. That's where she's at now. So again, nothing terrible, just a little rest and then creating a new path for how she can still give it her best - and you know she'll do nothing less - and then back to work. In fact she's working tomorrow/today - depending on when you're reading this. And FYI "Y&R" fans, they've just asked if I'm available for a few days coming up...ahh, the priesthood! Hello Father Todd!"

Could Father Todd be returning because his sister, Patty (Stacy Haiduk), is back in town? Soaps.com will update with specific episode information on Corbin's appearances when it becomes available. Read the latest on Jeanne Cooper’s Y&R return. could Father Todd be returning to marry Neal and Sophia? Just a thought.

I thought she was working awfully hard for a woman her age. I wish her the best and look forward to seeing her again but I think she needs to pace herself and it is irresponsible for Y&R to pile so much on her, even if she is one of the best actors on the show.

I have no idea about NEIL and Sofia but I am glad Corbin said that to fans..Jeanne SHOULD take it easy because she is a senior...when that time comes, they should do something like when they did it when Frances Reid was ill...she was 95 yr old when she passed away..people NEED TO RESPECT people like that..it's rude...

Most of us know how grueling soap drama schedules are and it is also tough on the younger actors as well. I am simply amazed Jeanne has so gallantly maintained so well over the years. I'm glad she took a badly needed R&R and will return with an adjusted schedule. We love you Jeanne. Keep on keeping on. It will be great to see Corbin return as well - wish he was a regular!

God Bless Ms. Jeanne Cooper. I definitely miss her and will be glad to see her pop back up in her role. It will be nice to see Father Todd too. I hope he doesn't marry Neil and Sophia - that's just a train wreck ready to happen. Father Todd needs to check on his family from time to time lol.

Michael Learned is a fine actress, but Jeanne Cooper IS "Mrs. Chancellor"! I'm glad that she has returned to the show.
