    From T-Ball To Overdose.

    Monday, July 15 2013
Carmine gets off, Nick faces off with Jack, and Summer tries to come to grips with her situation.

    (CBS)

Avery is at the club with Leslie. She's distracted but they discus Leslie's case. The topic turns to Nick. Avery wants to scream because she can't justify what he did. Leslie tells her that it's time to think with her heart, not her lawyer's brain.

At the station, Michael asks Paul why Carmine is not being charged. Paul says Christine doesn't have enough information to do that. Carmine is led out in cuffs. He taunts Michael. Paul holds the lawyer back. Carmine keeps taunting him. Michael wants to kill him. Paul tells him to stop saying things like that. Leslie shows up and demands that her client be released. After some fiery arguing from the lawyers, Paul allows her to take her client and go. Michael howls and trashes a desk.

Gloria arrives at the hospital and starts moaning to Lauren, who informs her that Fenmore has been using drugs. "He went from t-ball to overdose," sobs the redhead. Gloria blames her for this and lectures her for having an affair with the 'low life in a speedo'. Lauren reminds Gloria that her mothering skills are questionable too, but she still takes the blame. Gloria's relieved to hear that she and Michael are back together anyway. The topic turns back to the 'Adonis' with a 'six pack you can suck through a straw'. Gloria offers to have him whacked. Lauren turns that down. Later, Michael arrives after Gloria is gone. Lauren blames herself for what happened to their son but he blames Carmine and promises to stop him from hurting them again.

Carmine is at Crimson Lights watching a sex video he made of himself and Lauren.

Nick shows up at the Abbott house. Jack lets him in. Phyllis is reluctant to go but Jack wants to do this alone. "I'm real sorry," says Nick. Jack clobbers him and then demands some answers. Nick explains that he was just trying to fill the hole left inside after losing Cassie. He spent years convincing himself that she was his daughter. Jack tells him that he has cheated her out of all of his daughter's firsts. They are gone forever and he won't feel sorry for him. Nick envies him. "You stole her past. Her future is mine," Jack says. Nick walks out. Jack calls Kyle and leaves a message. He picks up a bottle, contemplates it and puts it down.

At home, Sharon and Faith are playing with dolls. Sharon promises that everything will be okay and they just need to show her daddy how much they love him.

Summer is at Crimson Lights. She's been crying and starts to explain to her friend that it is Nick's fault. Sharon and Faith show up. The kid wonders why she is crying. Summer claims they are just happy tears because her family is so great. Later, Sharon runs into Phyllis, who brushes past her. She tries calling her daughter without luck.

Summer shows up at the Abbott house. She asks Jack if there's a how-to book for this. He says the sales for that one must be lousy. Jack tells her she can take her time. She doesn't have to go down this road if she doesn't want to. Summer still doesn't know how she feels. They recall her birth. "If you let me, I'd like to get to know you as my daughter," he says. She likes him and says he's the best thing that ever happened to her mom. They discuss Kyle. She cries as she talks about all the love she still feels for the people she thought were her family. He tells her that love doesn't need to go anyway. Jack holds her as she cries about how much she wants to hate Nick but can't.

Avery goes to Nick's. She reads the sympathetic note that Sharon left for him and groans. She drinks tea until Nick shows up. "I need you Avery," he says. She starts cleaning. He wonders if she has been thinking. She knows it was hard for him to lose Cassie. His heart told him that Summer was his. The lawyer is having a hard time with what he did, but she is determined to stick with him.

Cassie's ghost pays her mom a visit at home. Sharon tells her that no one knows Nick's pain like she does. She wants to help him… or this will all have been for nothing. Sharon justifies why she changed the results. She thinks she and Nick can be happy again as longs as Nick never finds out that Summer is really his daughter.

Genoa City Spoilers for Tuesday on The Young and the Restless:

"He's been a wonderful dad," Phyllis says. Summer points out that he's not her dad.

"He took the family I should have had," Jack says.

Saw the "Sharon switched the samples" coming from a mile away... Time to get that lame brain back on her meds!

Posted by simscb at Friday, July 12 2013 05:36 PM

Evidently, Sharon is off her medications.

Someone, anyone who does something like this needs to be horse-whipped.

She has gone too far with this. Can the writers do anything more with her character than write her in this manner? The Nu IIC are NUTZ!

Jack should DEMAND another DNA test.

The emotional pain has just about destroyed Summer and Nick, plus others.

I didn't even watch the show today and don't know if I ever will again. I was sleeping which was needed. Didn't get to see the new Faith.

Give it up, Sharon! Nick loves Avery.

    Fellow posters;
Well super schitz did it! But fear not; when it all comes out (from burning down the ranch--with a housekeeping person inside(jmo) to the DNA switch to try to ruin Nick, to the attempt murder of Phyllis), she Will get off 'Newman' free with no vilification. Would love to see Jack, Kyle, Nick and Summer go clean, smooth the Hades off on her, it will never happen..... Well, props to all and stay soapy!!!!

Well, I keep hoping that Sharon's discussion about tampering with the DNA report is just part of her hallucination, since it DOES occur in connection with her hallucination about seeing Cassie. At this point, it makes no sense whatsoever to have Summer revealed again to be Nick's daughter. Of course, I was personally hoping that, as soon as it was revealed that Summer was actually non-actor, NuKyle's biological sister, the non-acting NuKyle would find a reason for skipping town and we would be spared his labored attempts at acting. Of course, when Summer turns to her presumed previous sibling, Noah, for support, and begins to get romantic with Noah - hopefully - Sharon will need to make her own confession. When TIIC took over this show - ALL of the promises were about Sharon becoming a stronger, more independent character. So far, I see NOTHING which is strong and independent if this discussion about tampering with Nick's DNA report turns out to be something which Sharon actually did!

I've only seen clips of the show and not the entire show. But the scenes with Jack and Summer had me in tears. Wackadoodle is just plain evil. She even threw little Faith under the bus when she said something about them being a family again in front of Phyllis. Share basically calls her own daughter a liar for telling the truth. Adam did a good thing when he keep Faith away from her when she was born. LOL JK

Hey everybody...i just wanted to say farewell. i am done with this soap. Now that Sharon has become Phylass...i just don't want to watch anymore. i hope u all can continue to enjoy the show but it just sucks and i don't see how it can be made better.

i will say that even if Sharon switched the results if Nick hadn't been a dick in the first place none of this could have happened.

    bye bye...

    Hi Everyone!

Among other things on this show, I am getting “tired” of Michael badgering Paul to get Carmine arrested!!!! He is a “LAWYER” and “FORMER” DA, he of all people should know that there is NOT enough evidence to do so!!!!! AND the other thing that I DO NOT understand is Paul letting Carmine taunt Michael without AT LEAST requesting a restraining order put on him.

The ONE thing that made me sooooooo happy though, was seeing Jack clock Nick’s jaw!!! LOL I sure hope he gets a black eye from it and has to go all over town so everyone can see it. I hope somebody makes a loop of that and puts it on U-Tube like they did when Nena slapped Phyllis; that was hilarious!!! LOL Jack laid him out verbally and never held anything back either. When Nick told him that he tried his best to be a good dad to Season, I was getting ready to scream if Jack had said (like Phyllis did) yes you were a good dad Nick; but he didn’t and it made me very happy!

Loved the scene with Gloria and Lauren!!!! When Gloria is on, she “lights” up the screen! I also loved the scene with Jack and Season! If it wasn’t for those two making this storyline so believable, this whole thing would be a total flop because Phyllis and Nick sure AREN’T creating the same type of drama that we should expect with this, ESPECIALLY Phyllis! Nick has his moments, but then they just fall flat when he tries so hard to get people to feel sorry for HIM!

I am NOT EVEN going to talk about this “Sharon twist” in the paternity! I have been reading it all weekend on the Message Board, and then finally getting to see it. The writers are just disgusting to go this direction! I’m only hoping that some of the speculation that she hallucinated she did it and she really didn’t is really what happened. We will see, I guess! One of the writers was being harassed so badly on twitter, that he had to quit tweeting all weekend; ain’t that just awful!!! LOL

There was several references to Season and Fen playing "sports" in this episodes, when have we seen either one of them play sports? Fen WAS shown with his "hockey" gear and he went away to school so he could play hockey...NOT T-Ball like Lauren told Gloria. And I don't EVER remember a reference to Season playing sports...she was either at camp or staying with a friend!!!!

...Citykittie, please hang in there for a little while! I, too, do NOT like the direction TIIC are taking with the storylines, but I read on the Message Board that Sharon Case tweeted that there are STILL some twists to come with this story; hopefully she is right. That is why I said earlier that I hoped the rumors were true that she DIDN'T change the results. TIIC drag out these stories so long that the so-called "twists" that they are doing are no longer cliff-hangers, they are just outragious writing...they are going to lose at lot of long-time viewers because they do not trust them anymore!

Carmine is going to keep taunting Michael because he knows that he is getting to Michael, but Michael should know better than to say he wants to do harm to Carmine, especially in front of the police chief and others. What Gloria told Lauren about it being her fault with the marriage problems that she is facing has nothing to do with Gloria's mothering skills. Little Fen should have been snapped into line a long time ago and he should have been told about the affair between Lauren and Carmine instead of finding out the way he did. Jack laid a good one on Nick, it was just too bad he only gave him one, it should have been a flurry. I liked the advice that Leslie gave to Avery about thinking with her heart instead of her lawyer's brain. I was glad to read that Avery is going to stand with Nick, but she is going to have competition from Sharon and will need to open up to Nick and tell him that she is standing by his side. Sharon needs to go back to her therapist and renew her meds and get some help, but you know people who are addicts don't realize that they have a problem. What Sharon is doing to Faith is really bad, this will probably cause Faith to give Avery a hard time. I hope that Avery talks to all involved and requests that a verifiable DNA test be done at the clinic by responsible licensed people. I'm really looking forward to Monday's airing of the show.
