BTW does anybody know what Billy goes for a living now. Is he still doing the tv show and working at RS? I also thought Chole and Abby(gone) worked there. Chole wants to start a new business with Chelsea now. Plus Billy is at home with little John and he was fired from NE by Jack. So what happened to RS or did we all just imagine the s/l for months? This is the kind of schitt that pizzes me off about the nuwriters.

Spoilers I read say.......Adrianna( girl Noah said cheated on him in NY) comes to town with a big secret(the money connection) Then a cop named Alex comes to town looking for the missing money in Dec.

...Bikette, he will probably be taking after his father and "jump on his white horse to rescue his lady fair"! LOL

The new writers are taking the show in a different direction and MAB is the one who left all these messes to clean up, all these open ended storylines that everyone complains about anyway so why would the new writers go back and drudge the stories up again, I think we are supposed to just move on and stop obsessing about what MAB did. He can't fix everything and he can't go back and change what MAB has already done.
I also read somewhere when budget cuts were done, there was little time left for the actors so Gen, Harmony, etc, JG didn't really have time to wrap up their storylines, he had to work with the couple scenes he had left with them and then they were gone. JG had no control over this and did the best he could with what he was given.

Head writer doesn't make him in charge of every single decision, every single time and I really think he wants us to understand that, understand he's trying.

@bikette ITA and I was wondering that myself about Billy.

While I realize it's nuwriters, I really can't see how hard it would have been to have cleaned up the old guards S/L's before starting new.

RS was a big part of the S/L all summer, now what just erase it, all they would have had to have done was say the show was cancelled and he was selling the mag, IMO not that hard to tie it up.

Same thing with the Ricky/Daisy/Paul S/L, I, myself, me was pretty invested in that S/L, Now nothing, nada, zip, someone who was supposed to be Daisy's mom got her out of Fairview and I'm just supposed to forget that Shelia Carter could be out there somewhere risen from the dead AGAIN, LOL.

and who left that rosary? and sent those flowers

Obsessive or not these are things I wish they would wrap up someway. Just because nuwriters take over doesn't mean I can just forget the past year of the soap. JMO.

So how much time would it have taken to say RS was sold? How much time would it have taken to let Harmony say goodbye to Devon and Kay How much time would it have taken to say Abby went to NY to visit her mom. A lot less time than they spent on Avery cooking for Nick. I just think it is disrepectful to us a viewers to just drop everything we have spent months watching with no explanations. My time means something to me and if they don't care then I will soon be spending my time not watching. JMO

    Bikette,

Not only was it disrespectful to the viewer, it was disrespectful to the actors involved.

CARDS I agree ... I think we all discussed sometime after MAB was let go that a lot of us would have been on board for the new team to come in and make the whole MAB regime/years a "dream" of some sort and wiped the slate clean instead of just dropping some of the story lines ...

But in essence, it is what it is ... Other than the dropped story lines, my biggest complaint is and remains the glacial movement of story lines under this team ....

I believe a lot of viewers feel this way as well, considering that the ratings show a continuing drop in the women viewers of this show, which includes the younger "much sought after demographic"

The viewing audience of any tv show today has changed ... most simply do not have the time or desire or patience to invest in shows that barely move along ... especially SOAPS

Esp. Marcy R. (Abby) She was on for years. That was the worst. She didn't even get a goodbye. Just poof, now you see her, now you don't.

Hey, I'm just trying to put a positive spin on things, it's just complaint after complaint, after complaint, I just want to see the good for once because it's not a bad show and from reading the comments, you'd think it was awful but it can't be that bad if there are so many of us that still care about it, if we're taking our time to post on this board, we obviously care about the show so I'm just trying to put some positive vibes out there too!

    I love Y&R!

Billy did say the magazine wasn't going well and the ratings were down, maybe they will address the fact that he sold it or closed it after he rescues Victoria?
