    * Tricia Cast (Nina) and Michael Fairman (Murphy) will appear on August 26 and 27 during a special remembrance ceremony to mark the one-year anniversary of Katherine's death.

    * Karina Logue will play Helen Copeland, Mariah's mom, beginning August 14, according to CBS Soaps In Depth.

    * Scott Elrod joins Y&R as Joe Clark, Avery's ex-husband. The character will first be seen in October.

    * D.C. Douglas returns as Colin’s cohort, Kurtz, on July 1.

    * Robert Gant is back as David Sherman on July 11.

    * Dar Dixon appears as Phyllis’ doctor, Dr. Burnett, on July 22.

    * Veteran actor Joel Brooks will appear as Judge Ramsey in three episodes starting July 24, according to CBS Soaps In Depth.

    * Andrea Grano returns as Dr. Sternin on July 28.

    * Ashlee Lapine appears as Hannah on July 28.

    * J. Paul Boehmer appears as Dr. Cutler on July 29.

    * Gina Tognoni will join Y&R as Phyllis Newman, first appearing on Monday August 11. Ex-Phyllis, Michelle Stafford, can be seen on "General Hospital" these days.

    * Eileen Davidson returns on contract as Ashley Abbott beginning in early September.

    * Deion Sanders' mother, Connie Knight, will appear as a nurse on Wednesday August 13. The former football star shared the news on Twitter:

    * "Y&R" is seeking to cast the recurring role of 'Maureen' (tentative name), who is a Caucasian female in her 50s. She's attractive and has a strong sense of self-preservation, given the cards she's been dealt. This is for a 6 - 8 week stint that will begin around July 31.

    * A casting call went out for the role of Helen Copeland, described as a 40 to 45 year-old Caucasian. She's a bitter young mother and also a trained nurse, who's had a complicated life. This is a two day appearance.
