    At the Club, Avery agrees to look over Adam's probate paperwork for Chelsea. They discuss Dylan's rally. Chelsea notices Avery's engagement ring - she's happy for them. Later, Dylan joins Avery. Dylan gets a call that the mayor's appointment is cancelled.

    At Crimson Lights, Avery and Dylan wonder if someone got to the mayor. Dylan will fight - he won't lose anything he cares about to Joe Clark.

    At the Abbott house, Avery tells Phyllis and Jack she's engaged. Phyllis doesn't react. Jack congratulates her. Avery says there won't be a big announcement and Phyllis wonders why not. Avery doesn't want to steal their thunder. Phyllis questions Avery being apologetic about being engaged - she's very happy for her. Avery seems slightly surprised as they hug. Jack leaves. Phyllis fishes for information on Nick's custody suit and offers to testify against Sharon. Avery takes off. Later, Jack returns and compliments how Phyllis handled Avery. Phyllis is offended; it shouldn't be a feat for her not to freak out on someone. They talk about Kelly. Phyllis warns she'll protect their relationship.

    Joe enters Avery's office and talks cute about the thing she does with her eyebrow. He tells her she's making a mistake marrying Dylan McAvoy. They bicker. Joe says the ring doesn't represent an eternal bond between her and Dylan, it's about him. Avery marvels at his ego. What she's built with Dylan has nothing to do with him. Dylan enters as he exits. Avery tells Dylan that Joe feels he's the reason he proposed. She can't figure out what he's up to.

    At Crimson Lights, Avery finds Dylan admiring a rally poster. They kiss. They talk about sharing their engagement news. Paul appears. Avery holds up her ring. Paul congratulates them and Christine appears. She hears the engagement news and then Paul blurts that they're having a baby. After, Christine reminds Paul she's only taken a home pregnancy test - they agreed not to say anything yet. Paul apologizes for jumping the gun. If it was a false positive they can keep on trying.

    Avery arrives at The Underground and Sage leaves. Nick says that was the woman who saved him. Talk turns to Sharon having David Sherman in the house. Avery asks Nick to sign something. He spots her engagement ring and gives his blessing. Joe appears as they're hugging. He invites Nick to come hear about the development. Nick refuses. Dylan appears. Nick tells him he's behind him. Joe asks what he's missing. Avery holds up her hand. Joe wishes them all the luck in the world.

    In the Club office, Phyllis tells Kelly it's time they cleared the air. She knows she was sleeping with Jack. Kelly offers to tell her the truth about her relationship with Jack. Phyllis counters that she doesn't have a relationship with Jack. They hiss about being honest. Phyllis talks about her sleeping with Billy and moving on to Jack. Kelly thinks Phyllis is bothered by her and Jack sleeping in her bed and her moving in. Phyllis thinks Jack was rescuing Kelly like an animal out of the gutter. Kelly slaps her. Phyllis spits that Jack dumped her, and Kelly starts to say he dumped Phyllis at the facility, but Phyllis leaves. Kelly follows. At the bar, Dylan looks at the engagement ring he's carrying and notices Joe and Cane nearby. Avery arrives. They listen to Joe make his pitch to Cane. He invites them to join, but they leave. Joe tells Cane that Dylan's taking this personally. He feels it takes a special person to see the vision and execute. Cane grins. "That's why you came to me." Joe confirms he needs a local business on board. Lily overhears Joe offer a donation to the cancer fund if Cane supports him. Lily interrupts to say they're partners. Joe will present to both of them. Gerolomo is the company behind the development. Lily asks questions about the economic effects. Cane steps away. Joe tells Lily she's hot; he finds her challenges attractive and hopes her husband keeps her happy. After, Lily tells Cane that Joe hit on her to shut her up. Phyllis and Kelly come down the stairs. Jack enters as Kelly hollers at Phyllis that Jack was done with her in Georgia.

    In the park, Dylan is stunned at Avery's ranting about Joe. Dylan doesn't want to discuss him and silences her with a kiss. They have hot chocolate on the bench where he declared he loved her. He shouts it. They flash to when she discovered he was alive and Dylan talks about overcoming all the road blocks. He wants to be with her for the rest of his life. Dylan kneels. She stands. "Wait!" She climbs onto the bench and says he's the first man who made her feel completely loved in return. Together they're amazing. She shouts that she loves him and steps down. Dylan proposes. Avery says yes. They kiss.

    At home, Dylan and Avery make love.

    At The Underground, Avery apologizes to Joe for blaming him for the incident at Crimson Lights. She asks him to respect that she's with Dylan. He's always wanted what's best for her. Dylan appears. Avery says she told Joe they don't blame him for the incident. Nick arrives. He meets Joe and says he's adamantly opposed to his development. Joe excuses himself. Nick questions Avery being married to such a slick operator. Talk turns to Sharon hiring David Sherman and filing a countersuit.
