She couldn't face living with the child and never wanted to see it again. Ian's lawyer, Mr. Sherman, reviews some of Nikki's sordid past. He suggests that the baby could have been Paul's and makes her read passages about her feelings for Paul. He accuses her of lying for selfish reasons to justify giving up a baby she hated. Nikki whimpers. Michael objects and the judge tells Sherman to watch his step. Sherman tells Nikki what a lousy mom she was and accuses her of causing emotional distress. Dylan leaps up and accuses them of playing head games. Nikki keeps crying. The judge has to order Dylan out. A recess is called. Avery bickers with Ian while Victor tries to comfort Nikki.
