When Phyllis gets back to the couch and falls asleep, she dreams that Nick is there. However, it's only Sharon. Through tears, Phyllis cries to Sharon about how much she misses Nick until Sharon snaps, "I miss him too and I don't have any sympathy for the woman who stole my husband away from me!" As Jack walks into the room, he's blown away by Sharon's comment. After Sharon storms off, Phyllis apologizes to Jack who says, "It's too much for Sharon." Wondering if maybe she should leave, Jack replies, "I'll book you a room at The Club."
On The Hunt For Jana!
At The Abbott's, as the nanny cam records, although Ben suggests Phyllis leave the mansion - to save face for Jack's campaign - Jack stops him and says, "Nikki may have a thing going with David Chow." Over talk of David's past indiscretions, Jack suggests hiring someone to dig up dirt on David and maybe finding a picture of Nikki and David in a compromising position! Sharon makes a call and finds out that David and Nikki are alone at the ranch. Sharon decides to try to pick Karen for information. After Sharon leaves, Jack takes Phyllis's hand and asks how she's feeling - neither know they're being recorded! When Jack leaves, Phyllis picks up Summer and bops her around the living room as she talks sweetly to her daughter.
Just as Daniel gets to the Abbott's, and is telling Phyllis about his tuition problems, his new cell phone rings. It's Cane wanting a reference for Garret (Plum)! Daniel quickly gives Cane a soaring recommendation then hangs up to face Phyllis's questions! Although Daniel claims the call was a 'favor for a friend,' Phyllis says, "I don't believe you and I'm not going to give you a loan!"
After Daniel leaves, while doing push-ups, Phyllis spots the nanny cam! When Jack arrives home, Phyllis is back on the couch. When Phyllis asks Jack to get her phone on the desk, he spots the nanny cam and yells for Sharon, thinking Nikki planted it there! After Sharon admits to putting it there, saying she thinks Phyllis is faking it, Sharon pops the disk in a laptop to prove it. However, Phyllis erased the old footage! Not seeing any proof that Phyllis is faking it, although Jack thinks Sharon owes Phyllis an apology, Phyllis says, "I don't blame you, Sharon," then lays the sympathy on thick!
Nanny Cam 101!
At the Abbott's, after Sharon brings Phyllis breakfast, she says, "Did you sleep well last night?" Phyllis says no then shares some of her regrets, "There's so many things I should've told Nick. Like the time he gave you that anniversary present… I shouldn't have gotten so mad at him for buying the woman who's being so nice to me a gift." Later, although Sharon catches Phyllis sitting up with her laptop, Phyllis still acts as though she's in pain but agrees to set up an MRI. With Sharon listening on, Phyllis says into the phone, "Oh, no, a week from Friday. Well, I guess we'll have to do that then."
At The Club, when Sharon calls to confirm Phyllis's MRI examine, she finds that Phyllis never made the appointment! After briefly talking to Gina, Sharon calls and orders Phyllis a bouquet of flowers to be delivered, "Something large and colorful. I also want a delivery confirmation… I want to know who signs for the flowers." Later, Sharon gets the confirmation that the flowers were delivered, but cuts the florist off to answer a call from Phyllis thanking her. To Sharon's dismay, Phyllis says that although the deliveryman told her who the flowers were from, he left them on the porch!
When Sharon arrives home, she finds that Phyllis managed a shower! After helping her back to the couch, Sharon places a nanny cam on the desk to spy on Phyllis!
Nick Is Alive!
At the Abbott Manor, when Summer won't stop crying, thinking no one is watching, Phyllis picks her up - and Sharon sees it all! When asked what she's doing, Phyllis immediately acts as though she's in pain and asks, "Oh, can you help me?" With a suspicious smile, Sharon takes the baby. When Jack arrives home, Sharon explains the 'incident' then heads to the store - with a long list of requests from Phyllis!
Alone with Jack, Phyllis begins to act as though she's very comfortable being catered to in his home! As Jack holds Summer, he tells Phyllis, "When you first told me you were pregnant, I admit, I hoped she was mine. Nothing would have made me happier."
When Noah comes home, he tells Jack, "I have to write an essay about my hero - my dad. I was going to give it to him as a Father's Day gift." Although Jack suggests he could still write it about Nick, Noah replies, "I want to write it about you." During Noah's questioning, Jack goes on to reminisce about a trip Nick and he took to Yellowstone Park. Together, Jack and Noah head up to the attic to locate a rock Nick had found during that trip so long ago. Phyllis is comforted by Jack's caring manner.
