Dru and Neil get back home and find out that Devon knows about what happened. Devon tells her to stop worrying about him and start worrying about her. He tells her she is his mom and he'll do what he can to keep her out of jail. Dru is upset that Lily and Daniel told Devon the truth; while Devon secretly asks Lily to promise to tell him the truth whenever anything happens in their household.
Surprise... in more ways than one!
At Newman, as a confused Dru is being lead away by the police, Neil and Carmen watch. Neil asks Carmen how she could do this, but Carmen yells at him to stop defending her and open his eyes!
In court, Michael and Will Bardwell fight for their client's case. Will feels that Dru has no respect for the order, and they ask that Dru be held without bail. Dru tells the judge she deeply regrets what she has done. Neil speaks on her behalf, sharing with the judge what happened to Devon. He pleads that the time has been a difficult one and asks that his wife be allowed to go home to be with her son until the trial. The judge allows this, and bail is set at $25000.
Arresting developments!
Sharon is wrapping a gift for Nick from Noah, in the coffee break room when Dru walks in. Dru understands it's a tough pill to swallow to have to go to the party tonight. She shares how she spilled the beans to Phyllis about her surprise engagement party! Noah comes in and videotapes his mom saying Happy Birthday to Nick. She is nervous and says something that she thinks she ought not to have said, so asks that he delete some of it. He rewinds it and sees Dru and Carmen fighting. He doesn't really notice and tapes over part of it, enabling Sharon to now say Happy Birthday to Nick, properly.
Dru and Neil meet in his office. They talk about Devon being back at school today, seeing a sign tutor, and they think he has adjusted to being deaf. Dru tells her what happened between her and Carmen yesterday! He asks what she was thinking and she says she wants to apologize but he tells her to stay away from Carmen!
Carmen and Phyllis talk, Carmen agrees to go to the surprise birthday party this evening. Noah comes out of the coffee break room and goes with Phyllis, to edit the tape. Phyllis explains different special effects they can use to edit the interviews. They start editing Gloria's file, noticing how large it is and start to watch the interview, when Phyllis receives a phone call. Noah continues to watch, seeing a small part of Dru yelling at Carmen. The tape switches to Sharon's interview. Noah arranged the interviews in order and deleted everything after Gloria's interview. Later, Phyllis watches the deleted portion of the tape, seeing Dru and Carmen fighting. She is appalled and calls Carmen to go to her office right away.
Dru spies Carmen, but she walks away when she tries to apologize. Carmen reminds her they can't be together without a witness and leaves.
Later, Neil and Dru talk about Carmen. He calls the reporter in New York and gets them to allow Dru to do it via satellite, and asks Dru to stay clear of Carmen… again!
He goes off to see Carmen, and she explains what happened with Dru. He explains that Dru is under a lot of stress, but Carmen is afraid and tells him she called the police. She tells Neil that without evidence there is nothing she can do.
Neil comes into Carmen's office to discuss Dru, and she alludes to him that something is going down!
In the coffee break room, Dru is arrested!
Caught on videotape!
At their home, Dru, Devon and Neil learn sign language. Devon is doing well, but all of their hands hurt from so much signing. They stop for lunch. Devon makes jokes that he hopes they don't learn a sign for "Clean your room"!
Dru is unhappy to get a call from Vikki to come into work today. She doesn't want to leave Devon, but is told that it's not a request - it's a command! Dru apologizes to Devon
At the office, Victoria and Dru meet. Dru will have to go out of town for interviews for the new holiday campaign, and is not too happy about this sudden turn of events. She has to leave right away and will be away two days tops. Carmen gets the brunt of Dru's anger, but there is nothing she can do to change their minds. Victoria and Carmen tell Dru she must go.
