Adam appears at Victor's door wanting to talk about family.
Same Game, Different Players.
At the penthouse, Victor tells Nikki that Jack stepped down from Newman Enterprises. She accuses him of forcing Jack's hand. Victor says he realized it was a size too big and left Adam and Billy minding the store. Vikki arrives with news about the board meeting. Victor's not surprised. Vikki says Billy's been voted out of Newman. Victor tells her they'll talk later. Nikki hollers at Victor that he'll just go after Adam now. "Same game, different players." They argue. Nikki was hoping they could sail around the world - she's angry with herself for believing it could ever happen. She rants about wedding planning. Victor says, "In due time." Nikki begs him to get a grip on his control issues and asks him to wait until after their honeymoon to do anything about Newman. He refuses. Nikki calls someone and whispers, "No, I couldn't tell him. Not yet."
Still at home, Victor takes a call from Mason who answers questions about Adam, Billy, and Sharon. Victor orders Mason to find out what kind of meds Sharon is on.
Sex This Place Up.
Victor stops into The Underground. Nick asks if he came to gloat. Victor wants Nick to come back to run Newman with him, and alludes to Jack having troubles. Nick isn't interested. Victor calls The Underground a dive. Nick says it's his dream. Later, Avery arrives. Nick says Victor's visit motivated him to see this through. They discuss the divorce. Nick's looking forward to the next chapter in his life. Avery has a surprise - Tyler. Tyler says he'll put the place on the map. He outlines his idea for an underground DJ and shows some fliers. Nick hires him. Tyler tells him to sex the place up a bit.
Victor finds Jack at Newman. Jack says Billy passed his threat along and tells him he's walking away - the company's in the hands of Adam and Billy. Victor will go to the press unless Adam walks away too. They bicker. Jack says Michael's not pressing charges and Wheeler doesn't want this in the media. Victor says Wheeler's dispensable. Jack asks when this will end. Victor wants his company back. Jack tells him to talk to his son. Later, Victor approaches Mason and tells him Jack is out and Adam and Billy will be soon.
Truth And Justice.
At Newman, Victor and Billy spar verbally over Victor blackmailing him. Billy doesn't trust him and won't sacrifice Jack. Victor says it's Jack's chance to save himself and suggests Billy tell him so.
At the Club, Tucker fawns over Katherine - he knows she's still shook up over Murphy choking. They sit. Tucker is amazed to hear that Murphy used to live in a trailer and saved her life once. Katherine admits she was scared of losing him earlier. She says Murphy is angry at Tucker because he wanted to punish her for giving him up as a baby. Tucker things to work between them. Kay's open to it. Victor appears. Tucker says this might be his way of proving he's sincere. He tells Victor he'll give him a sizeable portion of his Newman shares. Victor wants details. Tucker says he'll give him half his shares, explaining that he threw in with Jack and Adam because he was bothered by how much Katherine respected Victor. Victor accepts Tucker's offer, but warns him not to double-cross him and disappoint Katherine. Victor leaves. Tucker tells Katherine he's tired of feeling alone. He talks about losing Ashley, and says he wants to know his birth mother, and his son. He vows to keep trying with Devon. Kay agrees, "Never stop trying." Once alone, Tucker leaves Jack a message to call him about Newman.
Congressman Wheeler visits Victor about his aborted press conference. He reminds Victor he wants Jack's connection to Stephanie kept out of the press. Victor's positive Jack will do everything to prevent this getting out.
Keeping This Secret Will Kill Me.
At Newman, Victor tells the press he still cares about Newman Enterprises and that disturbing information has come to light about Jack Abbott's leave of absence. He says Jack's heart attack was a ruse. Nikki interrupts and drags Victor into an office. She threatens to break her commitment to him. They bicker. He tells her she knows nothing about business and he doesn't give a damn about Jack's feelings. She asks what about hers. He barks, "What about them?" They keep arguing. Victor won't back down. Billy arrives. He and Victor get into it. Billy threatens to sell off Newman's assets. Victor tells Billy his marriage wouldn't survive it. Victoria enters and says she'd be proud of Billy! Victor mocks them for wanting to help Jack and says he could ruin him. He steps out and calls off the press conference. Nikki and Victoria leave. Billy asks what he's up to. Victor orders him to tell Jack what happened there and to return his company immediately or he'll go to the media.
In The Clear.
At the Club, Mason offers Victor information on what's happening at Newman in exchange for a position when Victor regains control. Sarge enters and asks Mason when he started hanging with Victor Newman. Victor's henchman appears and tells Victor he found no dirt on Jack at the cabin. Victor decides he's going to go public about Stephanie. He tells the man to make sure he can't be connected to the hooker. Meanwhile, Mason fills Sarge in on Jack having a heart attack and not being at Newman. Sarge sneers, "So you decided to start throw in with Victor." Sarge reminds Mason that Jack hired him as a favor. He says Jack will return.
