Quote lynnw: Hi Hot Pink...I'm very late posting. Seems like everytime I got ready to, something came up, or someone, then Zack's championship game was at 5 and I left at 4:30 to run an errand. He won this morning when his team played against Will's which I didn't go to, but he lost the one tonight. Anyway, it's over till fall. Of course he and Avery play baseball but I don't mind that as bad. I don't know why though.

We're having Wendy's chili and burgers for dinner. We were going out for Mother's Day but with the game and all,it just didn't work out. I got my fixings for the subs tomorrow. Thought someone might offer to help but no but that's ok. I probably didn't help my mother when the kids were growing up either.

Maybe that's why the lady's husband left her, because of her attitude. Someone like that can't be happy. You know what the old saying is, misery loves company.

Are you still going to your mom's tomorrow? I think I heard you say you were carrying a brocolli casserole. I will probably make a banana pudding in the morning. Will's party is tomorrow evening, I guess, and I won't have to worry about dinner. Did you get the Advil you wanted? I believe I'll get some to keep on hand. I thought by now that the Excerdin would have been back out. The only bad thing about them is if I should happen to take one during the night, I'd be awake the rest of the night, guess it was the caffine in it. The imitrex didn't do that. Odd.

I'm going to straighten up the kitchen once more. Hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day and see you tomorrow.

Hi, lynnw - It was cloudy here today and not too hot. I've had the back porch door open most of the day which, of course, suits Sami just fine. I know you're glad soccer season is over. Have the boys started playing their baseball games yet? Seems there's never much time between the different seasons, is there? I've never been that into soccer for some reason. But, I always loved watching the boys play basketball and football.

Hope you enjoyed your chili and burgers at Wendy's tonight.
I didn't cook much, just a couple pieces of Banquet fried chicken, corn and green beans, and Christopher had some wings. We're not doing anything special for tomorrow, though I will go see my mom for a little while. I may make a cake in the morning, but will need to get some cocoa powder to make the icing with. Canned frosting just isn't that great, in my opinion. Can't afford all of the ingredients for my broccoli casserole, so I'm making the cake instead.

My mom stopped by for a while today and, when we walked out to her car, my mom saw nosy neighbor's curtain twitch, so we knew she was watching us. She must not have much of a life since all she seems to do is spy on people and/or complain all the time. In a way, it's very sad.

Hope Will will have a nice time at his party tomorrow night. It will be nice that you won't have to worry about cooking dinner. I know that banana pudding will be good.

Didn't get the Advil migraine yesterday, but am going to try to get it next week. I'm hoping it will work for me since my Imitrex is so expensive without prescription insurance. I'm also hoping Medicare can help me get a relatively inexpensive supplemental insurance and prescription insurance plan next week as well.

Well, time to tidy the kitchen and get a bit organized before heading to bed. Hope you will have a very HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY tomorrow. And, hope you will have a great night. Take care.

Hi Hot Pink and Happy Mother's Day to you...It's turned into a rainy one here. It started a little while ago and wouldn't you know it, just in time for Will's party. A group of boys he invited were going to play soccer in the yard, but guess now it'll be in the house, the playing, that is. We're suppose to go but I told my husband I'm not going to stay long.

I noticed at church this morning that a few more people had on white roses for their mom's who've died. I really didn't have a white one to wear. When I was a child seems like everyone wore either a white or a red one, honoring your mom. I carried a few our to the cemetery yesterday afternoon to put on my mom's grave. I'm sure my sister carried some this morning.

That was funny about the lady looking thru the curtain at you and your mom talking.

I'm with you about the canned frosting. I don't care for it either. I will use it in a push but prefer to make my own. I saw a coupon in the papers this morning where you can buy pkgs of flavoring to put in frosting to create different flavor. There were several of them. I cut the coupon out but may never use it.

I'm anxious to see you the new woman does tomorrow also. I'm just wondering if she'll stay next year or go back to where she came from? It'll be interesting to see what does happen. I'll have to let you know how it goes tomorrow. I'm sort of thinking that things won't change till something is done to seperate the manager and her bff at work. I think one might be ok without the other.

I got a short nap in but I'm still sleepy. Do your cats sleep more during rainy weather? Cracker has been asleep all afternoon. Guess she'll be doing lots of that since the forecast calls for rain thru Wednesday.

Well, guess I need to call and see what time we need to go down. Wouldn't it be nice if Wendy said we didn't have to come. The house will be so crowded with all the boys.

Hope you'll enjoy the rest of your Mother's Day.

Happy Mother's Day, lynnw! Sounds like you've had a kind of quiet day. I haven't gone anywhere since I woke up with a headache. Called my mom and wished her a Happy Mother's Day. I'll go see her tomorrow and give her the gift and card I got for her. Haven't seen Thomas or T.A. today, but Thomas did text me early this morning wishing my a happy day. Did you have folks over for lunch?

It has been raining most of the afternoon. Sami has been enjoying listening to it on the porch, but I had to turn on the A/C for a few because it got really hot in the living room while I was making my pepper steak for dinner. Had to shut the door with her outside to get her to come in. She doesn't like being out there by herself. Sassi is asleep on my bed right now. Both of them do tend to sleep more when it's raining. I guess the pitter patter of the rain soothes them. Makes me sleepy, too, though I'm glad we don't have a tin roof. I think I'm one of the few people who cannot sleep with rain coming down on them.

Looking forward to hearing how things go with the new lady at the other school tomorrow. I think you're right about things not changing until something is done about the manager and her BFF.

Don't think my mom will be working much more now that school is almost over. I think the students only go half=days this week. I know she will be glad that she doesn't have to go in.

Hope Will had a great party and that the rain didn't put a damper on things. I'll bet it was noisy with all those boys there.

We used to have a special service at our church on Mother's Day. We wore red carnations to honor our mothers, and white ones for the mothers who were no longer with us. It was always a nice way to honor our mothers.

Made my pepper steak for dinner and Christopher fixed himself a couple of kielbasa's on buns with mustard. I love getting a kielbasa when they grill them at Lowe's Hardware stores. I think we're going to go get one later this week.

Well, need to get the kitchen tided and put some clothes in the dryer. Hope you enjoyed the party, and that you, Hubby and Cracker will have a nice night. And, again, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! Take care.

Hi Hot Pink...What a bad day we've had. The rain started sometime during the night and is still going on. The weather speaks of it continuing thru Tuesday nite. I have to go pick up Matthew in a bit and hope it'll let up at least thru that time.

That new girl is so good but mark my words, she'll move up to a managers position before long. It's funny how you can just tell that about some people. We had to wash very few dishes today, she did her job plus the dishes also. It makes it easier on us though. I couldn't keep up at that pace though. I just hope the other lady got along alright at the other school today. I have to hand it to her that she took more than I would have taken.

When we got down to Wendy's last evening, the boys were all playing outdoors but it was just sprinkling some. They looked like drowned rats when they came in. Other than that, the day was quiet. Everyone but Amy's husband ate up here at lunch. He'd gone to his mom's since his sister had just died. I told her that was where he ought to be yesterday. We had subs.

I hope your headache has left by now. Did you get the Advil migraine? If so, hopefully that will help.

I'm going to try to rest a little before picking him up. Cracker has been sleeping most of the day my husband said. Oh to have the easy life our cats live. Have a good Monday afternoon.

Hi, lynnw - It's thundering now and has been pouring on and off all day. Guess we'll have the rain until tomorrow morning as well. Went to get a few things at Family Dollar and it started raining heavily after we got back in the car. We need the rain, so I'm not going to complain too much about it.

Glad the new girl was good and hope it stays that way. But, if she does have her eye on a manager's job, your manager might need to watch her back. I do hope the lady who went to the other school will get along okay and won't have any problems there. It is so hard to work when others nit-pick at you all the time. I used to be kind of a pushover when I first started working. But, as I got older, I gave back as good as I got. I did my job to the best of my ability, but let troublemakers know I wasn't going to put up with their antics. When does school get out there? I think this may be the last week here since my mom says she probably won't be working anymore this year.

Sounds like Will and the boys had a good time last night. Hope they don't catch colds from getting so wet while playing outside. It is good that Amy's husband went to be with his family yesterday. I'm sure his mom appreciated him being there, especially since it was Mother's Day.

My headache is better today, thank goodness. I'm still trying to find some supplemental medical and prescription insurance that I can afford. I hate not being able to afford to get my meds. I'm going to apply for prescription assistance and hopefully it will be approved.

Well, think I need to get a few things done around the house. Sami and Sassi are napping, and so is my son (I think). I just might have a nap, too. Sounds A LOT more appealing than doing housework. Hope you are having a nice, relaxing afternoon and will have a great evening. Take care.

Take care.

Hi Hot Pink....It certainly is lots different today than yesterday although it looked real ugly once or twice today. The sun is out now. Maybe it'll dry things up. I hope the garden, the little bit we have planted, hasn't washed away.

After work I went up to the nursing facility to see my friend. A lady I use to work with had called last night and talked about how bad he looked. She said he was yellowish in color and that was a sign his liver was giving out. Anyway, I thought he looked better today than 3 weeks ago when I went up. He said he's taking like 200 steps now where last time he said it was just a few. He still has a long ways to go and I just pray for a full recovery for him.

Work was hard today, just end of the year things. I've noticed that the manager isn't yelling at the new girl like she did the last one. This one doesn't make the mistakes the last one did but maybe it's because she was nervous about what would happen if she did.

We get out the 8th of June. I told my husband he has 4 more days of vacation since Zack and Avery get out next Tuesday at noon. He's gotten use to being by himself and it'll be an adjustment for awhile. About the time he gets use to it we'll be back in school again. Doesn't your grandson start kindgarden this comming year? I'm thinking he does.

Is your headache gone? Maybe you'll be free from them for awhile. Enjoy your afternoon.

Hi, lynnw - We didn't get too much sun today, but it was very warm. I also thought it was going to rain earlier. But, Mother Nature changed her mind, I guess.

I hope your friend will recover soon. Sounds like he is making some progress, which is great. I will definitely keep him in my prayers.

I think you might have hit the nail on the head regarding the other lady making mistakes. I had a boss once that really intimidated me and I made more mistakes than I care to admit because of his attitude and the way he treated me. I was a nervous wreck whenever he was around, and it was very stressful for me. I was so glad when I was able to get away from there.

My mom worked her last day for this year yesterday and, since the kids were with their mom, I didn't have to worry about keeping them. I think our school year ends next week. Thomas Alex does start kindergarten in August, and I'm hoping we can convince his mother to let him go to the school in my mom's neighborhood. I really don't think his mother is going to enjoy having to get him up EARLY every morning to get him to school by 8 o'clock or so. She is one very LAZY person. I'm hoping Thomas can get custody of them before school starts. We shall see.

My headache is still there nagging at me; but, it's not as bad as it was, thank goodness. I'm going to apply for assistance from Social Security to see they can help me with my meds. As it is, I can't go to the doctor or get my meds because I simply can't afford to. It's really stressful knowing I can't afford to go to the doctor or get my meds and I think that's one reason I'm having so many headaches right now. Hopefully, things will get better soon.

Have to keep Kaitlyn (and maybe Thomas Alex) Friday afternoon for a while so she can go to a party her manager is having at her house for all of the ladies at work.. I think it's really nice of her to do that and my mom is looking forward to going. Don't know if my boy will be there since he didn't go to his mom's until Sunday. Guess we shall see.

I got some seasoned chicken legs/thighs at Food Lion to cook for dinner. We also had mashed potatoes and I got a can of seasoned pinto beans that were really good. Not sure what brand they were, so I will check and see and let you know tomorrow. Now, it's time to get the kitchen organized, what fun, what joy.

Hope you are having a nice evening and will have a better (and easier) day at work tomorrow. Take care.

Happy Wednesday Hot Pink..it's terribly humid today and sunny. Maybe it'll dry the ground up a bit. We did have a thunder storm this morning around 6:30.

I thought I was going to have to pick up Matthew again today but Wendy called and said the little boy she keeps was throwing up today and his dad had to come after him so she's free to do it today. I stopped and got him a couple of donuts from the bakery so I told her to stop and get them to carry for him to eat. He's starved to death when he gets in the car.

Thanks for the prayers for my friend. He said yesterday he'll probably be in there a year. I told him that probably depends on how well he gets along. I hope it'll be lots sooner but I told him I'll be back next week.

I think it's a shame that you can't get the meds you need when you need them. I hope there's some way where that'll be possible. I know that down at UNC hospitals you don't have to pay if you don't have the money, or just pay what you can. Of course it's state supported though.

You're right about not being able to do your best if you're constantly being harressed about something at work. From what I understand, the girl who was over at our school last year, the one the manager was on all the time also is going thru the same thing at the school she's at now. If I can catch her on FB sometime, I'm going to message her and see. There's just no sense to that. Things are going smoother with this new girl though.

Cracker wants to get out but I don't want to bother going out to watch her it's so hot. Maybe she'll go to sleep again. I hope your day is going well. See you later.

Happy Wednesday to you, too lynnw - It's sunny here as well, and they're calling to t'storms. Don't know it we'll get any though. The temp is supposed to be around 83 today, so I'm sure we might need to turn the air on later.
Sassi is sitting on my lap watching me type and trying to help as well. Little Stinker!

It's good that you don't have to pick Matthew up. I know that extra running around gets expensive when it comes to the extra gas that you use. Every time I put gas in my car, Thomas seems to know and wants to borrow it. Didn't mind Friday night when he took T.A. to see The Avengers; but, when he brought it back he has used over 1/2 a tank, and he left the trash from the food he bought them for dinner in the back seat as well. I don't know why people can't return cars in the same condition (inside) that it was in when they borrowed. Guess that would be too easy!

I'm so sorry your friend has to stay in the hospital for at least a year. It's great that you go see him and I'm sure he appreciates it very much. I will definitely keep him in my prayers!

I'm hoping to get some help with my meds soon. I'm going to the doctor next week when I get paid, and I'm sure he's going to fuss at me this time. But, hopefully, I can get back on track and get back to where I was before.

I'm sorry to hear that the girl who was at your school last year is going through the same thing where she is now. I remember how hard it was for me when my ex boss treated me badly. Maybe she should try to talk to whoever is over the manager. If upper management isn't aware of what is going on, they really can't do anything to help. Hope things get better for both of the ladies you've told me about. Glad, though, that the new girl is doing okay.

Sassi can't make up her mind where she wants to sit - on my shoulder, on my lap beside my computer, or on my computer. Right now, she is on my left arm playing with and biting my fingers, which is making it very hard to type.

So, I'm going get up (so Sassi will get off me) and see if my son wants to go to Aldi's to get a few things. Hope you will have a nice afternoon and evening. And, hope it will get a little less humid and hot later on so Cracker can go out. Take care!
