Quote LilyAllen: I read somewhere that sharon sold the house to Victor. I don't see why she would not do it anyways she has no more use for it she now lives in the abott masion, she's found herself and noah a new home!
Sharon owned it when they brought Vikki home from the hospital because Sharon gave Nikki permission to live there.

Yep i remeMber that, but perhaps she sold it after when she patched things up with jack. Why else would vitor have any right to sell a house that does not belong to him.

Darn these writers are at it again!! They are trying to make us beleive something that isn't true again. Yes, Sharon was given the house in her divorce settlement , and also at the end of the year Nicki did ask Sharon if she could move into her old home, and yes Sharon was going to move into the house before her and Jack got back together. No mention of her selling her house to anyone in the past 2 months. IF Victor had bought the house, why would he have to loan JT the money to buy it???

JT is buying the house from Victor. Let's give JT credit, he refused to accept the house as a gift from his father-in-law. JT wants to take care of his family himself. The only way Victor could get JT and Vicky to stay at the ranch was to sell them the house.

OMG....Victor never offered to give the house as a gift to Victoria and JT-- he said they could pay him back when they got the money!! that to me is not gifting anything...

Quote Juleszn: From what I remember, the main ranch house is where Victor and Nikki have lived. The cottage is where Nick and Sharon lived. And the tack house is where Nick and Phyllis currently reside.

I do believe that Victor was given back all of his property, including the main house, which he had initially given to Nikki. From a technical standpoint, Victor did earn the money himself to buy the ranch altogether, therefore I suppose it is fair that the property is in his hands again. From an emotional standpoint, it sucks that Nikki had to give her gift back, eventhough they are no longer married.

Against Victor's wishes and good advice...Nikki invested ALL her savings, property, stocks, etc. into loans, and then lost everything due to David's bad advice... she is reaping what she sowed...

That doesn't address the issue that the house belongs to Sharon.

Once Victor got the property in the divorce settlement, he either bought it from Sharon or it reverted back to him if the sale of the house to Sharon wasn't legally binding. I'm not clear about how you can own a house on someone else's land and have the property change hands! Suffice to say, JT and Vicky now own the house, which they are buying from Victor who owns the land.
There NEVER was a sale of the house to Sharon as it was a gift from Victor to them. She and Nick owned it jointly and she was awarded the entire house in the divorce. You obviously don't know property as it pertains to land and structures. A dear friend I grew up with and her husband just sold a several thousand acre cattle ranch in Wyoming for 12 million dollars, that had been in the family over 100 years as a homestead, and they retained ownership of the homestead structures and main home. The value of a ranch is in the land - not the residence(s)...unless you have a Bill Gates or an Aaron Spelling or a Vanderbilt mansion!!!

Yes, Eppy, you are exactly right! I had family who owned a ranch and several homes on it, as well. The property is owned by one person, and if he or she wants to allow someone to buy a home, they can, but I believe, in victor's case. He owns it all, and he has let several of his family live in the different homes.Victor is too clever to allow anyone own any of his property.

Yeah, this has got to be it. Maybe it was Sharon's to use as she saw fit, i.e. Nick wouldn't fight her for it, but now that she has remarried and moved out she has given up rights to it.

Remember when Sharon was leaving Jack she had to go get the keys off of Victor??

I remember that Sharon "owns" the house b/c Logan and Nikki asked Sharon if it were okay for them to stay there.

Funny how all these people thought it proper to ask her permission to stay there but this formality apparently isn't necessary to sell the place to someone.

It does seem odd. I haven't watched the show this week; therefore, I don't know if Sharon was involved or not. I try not to comment on things I haven't seen for myself. Think about...Sharon was about to move back into "her" house a few weeks ago.

Probably because Sharon still had her furniture and things there. I think the deal was that Sharon and Noah would never have to move out of "their" house if they didn't want to - but now, since she did move out and remarried, I would think that it still belongs to Victor. Only my opinion.

Maybe Victor and Sharon had a secret meeting and Victor offered to buy her house in order for JT and Vikki to buy it from him...or, he asked her to sell it outright to them and he would arrange the financing...must have been what happened. Anyway, it looks like they will be moving there...it's too costly for Y&R to build another home set so they will continue to use Sharon's house. Hey, Mary had a nice house, apparently she's out of the picture, they could move there!!
